Chapter 1777: Stepping Out Of The Domain

“Ahh, it has been quite some time…” Elayne smiled, sighing as she breathed in the air thick with Nether and Ghostly Energy. “There’s not a single speck of Spirit Energy anywhere, is there? There is polluted Mana, though—small particles of Miasma floating around. I suppose that’s why everything feels so heavy.”
“Yes, the atmosphere changes within the Great Labyrinth region whenever you approach the bones of the Great Nether Titan,” Yaga explained. “Even after dying so long ago, it still constantly exudes tremendous quantities of power from within…”
“Huh…” Elayne gazed at the gigantic white tooth where a large village had been built. Though impressive, it wasn’t quite large enough to be called a city, but it was close. “Wow…”
Even in this gloomy, lugubrious world, beautiful sights still exist everywhere. The Netherworld was truly a bizarre place, yet it held many breathtaking regions where one could lose themselves for days simply admiring the view.
As she looked at White Tooth Village, Elayne reviewed her entire plan.
“We’ll first move through this place. From White Bone City, we’ll follow the Nether River Route until we reach White Tooth Village. There, we can stock up on materials, resources, food, weapons, and armor, and perhaps learn a thing or two from the locals. After that, we’ll continue along the river road to the Ghostly Garden, a village inhabited by White Ghosts. There are also large caverns nearby filled with monsters—we can hunt there, assuming it’s safe enough. Later, we’ll head to the Twin Finger Bone Mountains and cross them, mining any materials we find along the way. Once we survive the mountains, we’ll finally approach the Fortress… The route is incredibly long. It’s practically like traveling around the planet three times.”
She had a complete plan and intended to see it through. This was the first real step: visiting White Tooth Village to gather supplies, weapons, armor, and any useful knowledge from the locals.
It wouldn’t be a long stay. She didn’t even plan to spend a night at an inn. The visit would be brief to avoid drawing attention from those hunting her.
While walking across the desolate wasteland toward the silent village in the distance, Elayne glanced at the palms of her hands. Small sparkles of sunlight energy occasionally flickered across her skin.
She had been training her Soul Trait the entire time. Though it was still far from reaching the next Tier, she was making steady progress.
Her body had slowly begun building resistance to the burning divine sunlight after hundreds of cycles of burning and regenerating—mostly her hands.
“Right, I haven’t checked its details in a while… I was so used to these powers not having system information, but now that they’re integrated, there should be more I can learn.”
Elayne decided to see what the System could tell her about her Soul Trait now that everything had been properly connected.
♢♢♢♢
[Soul Trait]: [Amaterasu-no-Kami’s Heavenly Sun Prison Pagoda – Tier 1: 31%]
A weakened fragment of what was once a far stronger Soul Trait, now integrated into the System and granted the ability to grow.
By offering Mana, Soul Essence, and Spirit Energy, you can summon a tiny speck of the Divinity of the Sun belonging to Amaterasu-no-Kami, a foreign Goddess of the Eternal Rising Sun from the otherworldly country known as “Japan.”
Her faint and weakened otherworldly Presence will instantly materialize as a very small golden prison pagoda with only one floor and a roof. The longer it remains active in a designated space, the slightly larger and stronger it will grow, stacking divine power over time on any foe or foes you choose to “entrap” within its tiny interior.
The more the pagoda grows in height and power, the greater the pressure it exerts on space, making it increasingly difficult to manipulate while constantly dealing Sunlight, Holy, and Light damage over time to the target and its surroundings.
This purifying pagoda possesses high defense and endurance based on the user’s Soul Fortitude and Spirit Energy. It can regenerate damage by being supplied with energy. Over time, the Mana, Soul Essence, Nether, and Ghostly Energy of the trapped foe will also be burned away by the tiny fragment of Amaterasu-sama’s Divine Brilliance, progressively weakening the opponent.
At higher Tiers, the Pagoda will reinforce the user’s Soul and imbue it with a small portion of this Foreign Goddess’s Divinity. It will gain additional floors, and once five or more floors are stacked, a weakened foe can be fully sealed inside. The Pagoda floors can also unleash concentrated bursts of Sunlight Energy to deal damage, and this energy can be manipulated.
Warning: Because the user is Undead, this Skill may cause self-damage. Caution is advised.

“Oh wow, the description has changed a lot…” Elayne murmured in amazement. “It added so many new details. It even treats Amaterasu as a foreign goddess from an otherworldly country called Japan? Hahah, the System must have struggled to categorize any of this… We are in Arcadia, after all. Earth is incredibly far away… yet at the same time, we must be quite rare beings simply for originating from another world.”
Most importantly, the Soul Trait now showed her progress. She had already raised it to 31%. Once it reached 100%, it would likely evolve to Tier 2.
“We’re getting closer…” Mark said, his eyes blazing with soul flames. “Is everyone ready?”
“As ready as a zombie can be,” Sailor replied with a smirk.
“Remember, everyone, leave most of the talking to me,” Granny Yaga instructed. “If you act strange or awkward, you’ll only attract unwanted attention.”
“I know,” Mark said. “But is it really necessary for us to stay completely silent? It’ll look stranger if an old lady is bossing around a large group without anyone else speaking.”
“People? Listen to yourself!” she laughed. “I see you all as people, but the noble races that rule this world usually don’t. An old lady like me can easily pass as some wealthy noble with a dozen undead bodyguards.”
“I see. So that’s the plan,” Elayne nodded. “I can’t say I love it, but… if it works, it works. I won’t complain.”
“So we’re pretending to be this old lady’s slaves?” Sailor asked. “I’m not thrilled either… but whatever. Let’s just get this over with.”
