Brand New Life Online: Rise Of The Goddess Of Harvest

Chapter 1487 - 1487: Creating A Forge Inside The Domain 2

“So you stretched your arms?” Mark wondered. “For… over twenty meters?”

“It wasn’t easy but yes,” Ignis nodded. “I am made of spiritual essence; by using Mana and Spirit Energy in the ambience, I can do these things quite easily. Perhaps I’ll be able to go farther away from master as I grow stronger.”

“Sound nice to me!” I nodded. “Oh right, you were going to help with the forge as well, right Mark?”

“Yeah, I also want to help out however I want,” he nodded. “I was wondering if any of my materials could be useful, Ignis.”

“Your materials?” Ignis wondered, as he saw the metallic wood, normal wood, leaves, and other things Mark had stored in my inventory which I dropped into the ground. “Oooh! Well, well, well! These are indeed very good! This metallic wood! It might be good foundations for the forge. Then the normal wood could be good to strengthen the flames and make them hot enough, very good. The leaves are not completely useless either, they’re hard and sharp, and have the consistency of whetstone, but in the form of paper… interesting, yes.”

“So they’re useful?” I wondered.

“More than useful, they’re perfect!” Ignis nodded. “Now, when will your friend arrive, master?”

“Ah, please be more patient, Lily’s-“

DING DONG!

And just as I was about to make excuses for my friend, Lily arrived. We went to open the door and invited her inside the Domain, where we came while talking with me.

“I see, so you want me to help you make a forge here, that sounds really great! This way we can make and strengthen weapons and armor, nice!” She was all up for the idea. “And who is this little gentleman?”

“This is Ignis! Remember the Spirit from the forge?” I asked her.

Lily walked towards Ignis, who glanced at her.

“Nice to meet you lady Lily, I heard from master that you could help us create a forge. We’ve met before but I suppose we never really talked,” Ignis said.

“Ooh, you’re that muscular forging spirit!” Lily nodded. “I do remember you now, yes. But you were much bigger… What happened?”

“I shrank due to the restrictions of this world, and perhaps because I am quite far away from my origin,” he explained. “It doesn’t matter for what I was summoned here to do anyway, so please don’t worry about such details.”

“O-Oh, oh well! If you say so, sure,” Lily nodded with a smile. “Alright Elayne, what should I do?”

“Let’s begin then,” I nodded. “First…”

We quickly began preparing, the first thing was deciding how deep and big we wanted the forge to be, Ignis decided it had to be at least fifteen meters deep, the area had to be large enough, with a giant central area where the forge would be and the surrounding area for the rest.

There should be a ventilation system above so the heat and the ashes can go outside, which shouldn’t be too hard to design with some magic here and there. We first started with Lily’s help by digging underground.

She used her abilities masterfully create the designed area. I think I could do something similar using my Skills and Magic, but Lily can do it much better and to a level of precision that easily overpowers mine. I think she’s just perfect for the job while I would struggle a lot for a while.

Once done, we used stone and magic to quickly add walls and floor made of clean, and very lean stone. A good floor was necessary, one that wasn’t just dirt, and even more proper walls.

After that, with Mark’s materials and Lily’s magic, we built the forge in the center, placing everything in place and with Ignis’ help, we created a large chimney-like thing, which had a massive opening for flames to burn through anything.

We placed an anvil there as well, and then I started placing stone-made furniture, seats, tables, and more, where we would place all the things we wanted.

Once the forge’s form was done, Ignis and I infused flames and spirit of fire inside, while placing any fire attribute ore I had in my inventory, Lily helped reinforcing the stone into something even better than Manatite Stone too, and she could create some other ores with just her magic alone, as they grew out of her hand, a very cool ability.

FLUOSH!

As we gave it the finishing touches, hundreds of tiny fire spirits appeared everywhere, infusing themselves into the forge as I used Spirit Synthesis to permanently infuse their powers and imprint the forge with what was necessary.

“Hmm, this is a good forge! Now I can do this!”

He flew inside and began burning, releasing flames constantly, until the entire forge started blazing and releasing a lot of flames and heat, the smoke quickly flying into the air through the chimney-like thing.

To be quite honest, I had little idea how all of this is even built or called! I was glad Ignis was there to guide us and tell us everything we needed to do; I am truly relieved he’s here.

FLUOOOSH!

“Alright, it should be done! The forge is complete!”

After three arduous hours of never-ending work, we were done, and it was already pretty damn late! We had to quickly have lunch, so I already sent Gordon and the Cooking Spirits to do that for me.

“W-What a relief!” I said. “Phew, I’m a bit tired though.”

“Me too…” Lily muttered. “I want to eat something… Can I have lunch with you, Elayne?”

“Of course, don’t worry about it,” I nodded. “Food is already being cooked anyway.”

“Hmm, for now I’ll stay here getting used to this new second forge and connecting my spiritual roots with it,” Ignis explained. “It might take me an hour or two to finish what I’m doing, but once I’m done, this place might officially just become additional power for the Domain, like a new area of it, or a new ability perhaps? I am not completely sure.”

“Oh, so that’s what you’re planning then! Alright, we’ll go on our own for now, thank you Ignis!”

Tomorrow we were going to Avalon too, so we better prepare, once he’s done we’re straight to reforging.
