Bound To The Alpha Brothers [BL]
Chapter 60: Consequences II
It had been relatively easy, poisoning Levi that was. Elvis had woken up to the news that Levi had been marked again, and this time by the second prince. A part of him suspected that this would happen sooner than later, but even then, it didn’t make the news any less painful.
What exactly did Levi want? Elvis had asked himself. Why was he letting these princes put their claims on him? Wasn’t it obvious to the omega that they were simply using him? Playing him for their own entertainment and ego? No, Levi was smart, he should know that! So what on earth was he really doing?
Is he trying to make me jealous? To make me leave by letting these Alphas claim him while I was still around. It had to be that, Elvis couldn’t possibly think of any other reason why Levi could be playing these types of games. It meant that the omega hadn’t believed him, Levi didn’t believe that he had changed. Realizing that pissed Elvis off, but the fact that Levi was playing in his face irritated him even further.
He had to teach Levi a lesson like old times, it was the only way the omega learnt to obey. He couldn’t lock him up here or deny him food either, so what else could he do to make sure Levi understood the consequences of his actions and these silly games of his?
Elvis had thought for a while, pondering over how to make the omega pay. He thought about going to his room and beating him back to his senses, but decided against that. Aaron was dangerous, and there were guards around, he wouldn’t win a fight with all those odds stacked against him.
After thinking for a full day, Elvis had finally come to a conclusion, wolfsbane. He had a whole pack with him, though he never initially planned to use it on Levi. He had brought it for the princes. Should the suppressants fail, Elvis had come prepared to take out the three Alphas. He didn’t care about the consequences, not when Levi was his at the end of the day.
After concluding that he was going to poison the man he loved, Elvis had taken time observing the servants, preying on the ones he observed were easy to manipulate. He managed to get his hands on one, a scrawny man who was willing to carry out any order for a fat cheque.
Elvis had called him, paid him handsomely, and given him a simple instruction; sprinkle just a little into Levi’s bathing water. He didn’t trust putting it in food since another person might eat it, or Levi might decide he wasn’t hungry. It wasn’t that he cared if another person ate the food and wound up dead, he simply considered it to be a complication, and he didn’t do complications. He wanted a clean job.
The servant had done his job, but it was clear he had used more than required, it was why Levi’s condition had been severe. Elvis was glad he had been saved, he would still have to deal with that stupid servant for going overboard, but that would be later. Right now he was happy. He had seen Levi’s face, had seen the fear in his eyes, and he was certain the omega would comply once he was out of the hospital bed.
Elvis reached his room and fell on his bed. He was exhausted, he didn’t like punishing Levi, but the omega had left him very little choice. He’d warned him enough times to stay away from those princes, hadn’t he? Why wouldn’t he just listen, take his suppressants and play nice. Now he looked like the bad guy when all he was doing was protecting Levi from the greater evil.
He drew a deep breath and let it out. The Alpha would be returning soon, and Elvis was eager. He was tired of playing nice with these princes. He wanted judgement, swift ones that would aid his plans, and only the Alpha could pass those judgements.
Elvis paused, now suddenly aware of the presence lingering just outside his door.
"Come in." He said before whoever was outside had the chance to knock.
"You’re way too sharp for your own good." The visitor replied before pushing open the door and walking inside. "Paid him a visit yet? How did it go?"
Elvis sat up on his bed. He wasn’t exactly in the mood for this conversation, but he had gotten himself into this silly alliance, and now he had to pretend to enjoy this conversation. "He’s conscious, he should be better by the week’s ending. And I’m sure he’s learnt his lesson, he won’t be trying anything new anytime soon that’s for sure."
The visitor walked farther into the room, ignored the Alpha sitting on the bed and walked straight to the table. It had a bottle of wine and glass. She opens the bottle and pours herself a glass, takes a greedy sip, and then sets the glass down.
"And you’re sure this won’t have other consequences. I mean won’t you be kicked out if they learn what you did?"
Elvis scoffed mockingly. Sure, he would get kicked out of the territory if word came out that he poisoned two of the princes’ mate, that was a serious crime. But he knew Levi, he wouldn’t tell anybody anything. He knew the omega far too well. And even if he did, it would be bad for these people to get into the bad notes of the Eastridge pack. ℴℴ𝘮
"You’re worried about yourself, isn’t it?" Elvis returned.
"Who wouldn’t be?"
"You shouldn’t, I don’t out people, I’m an Alpha not a pussy." Elvis answered before getting up and walking to pour himself a glass of wine as well. He had suddenly gotten thirsty. When he had downed a glass, he turned to the lady who had gotten comfortable and cast a glance.
"This is a record, we shouldn’t spend this much time together."
"Everybody’s busy with the omega, I’m sure we have time to get one or two things done."
Elvis smiled, he understood exactly what that meant, and he was starved. He didn’t care if she was promised to the prince, if she was asking for it, then she would get her wish granted.
