Chapter 51: New Bonding Technique

He shook his head with an amused smile, feeling a little helpless in the face of his aunt’s overwhelming affection. Still, deep down, he couldn’t deny how warm it made him feel to have someone who cared for him so much.

Xialyn’s bond had reached an astonishing 95%, while Grand Elder Eleanor’s had climbed all the way to 55%.

The increase in his Senior Sister’s bonding wasn’t particularly surprising. After all, she was already deeply in love with him. Seeing him push himself to such an extreme during the trial, even to the point of nearly destroying his own body, must have stirred her emotions considerably.

However, Eleanor’s progress was an entirely different matter.

For her bond to have reached 55% was completely unexpected. Unlike some younger cultivators, Grand Elder Eleanor wasn’t someone who could be easily swayed by a handsome face or a few sweet words.

She was a powerful and experienced cultivator who had lived through countless situations. Winning her affection would undoubtedly be much more difficult.

Considering that he hadn’t interacted with her much before, such a sudden increase was genuinely unexpected.

Although 35% wasn’t enough for him to share aspects with her just yet, it was still a promising start. Meanwhile, with Eleanor’s bond already at 55%, he could certainly share one of her aspects.

Veyron stared in disbelief. He hadn’t expected the system to have such a ridiculous rule.

Veyron could only sigh and shake his head. There was clearly no point arguing with it.

Veyron was taken aback. This was the first time he had received an additional reward without completing any quest.
