Chapter 2693: Supreme Coin Becomes the Sole Legal Currency of the Endless Starry Sky

In the overall peace of the Endless Starry Sky, the flow of years is always exceedingly swift.

As if in the blink of an eye, a hundred thousand years have quietly slipped by, and under the new Supreme Great Sun order, countless changes have taken place across the Endless Starry Sky.

The scars of war in every region have quietly vanished; even those forbidden grounds formed by the slaughter of the Forbidden Area Ancient Emperors have ceased to exist—either erased by the Forbidden Area Ancient Emperors themselves, or transformed into Secret Realms, factories, industrial-agricultural zones. Not a single place has been left to waste.

Everything has already returned to the years before the war.

No—more prosperous than ever!

Upon the various Emperor Roads, trade fleets, tower-ships, mountain-type Treasures and the like traverse back and forth, carrying Heavenly Materials and Earthly Treasures from all regions, alongside industrial and agricultural goods, shuttling between worlds and Star Domains. Passenger ships laden with travelers also run to and fro.

In merely a hundred thousand years, trade in the Starry Sky has grown at least tenfold in prosperity over the past!

Sky Dragon Star Domain.

This is the territory of the Old Emperor, Huang Yan Dragon Emperor.

A hundred thousand years ago, the Supreme Great Sun Ancient Emperor presided over a ceremony known as the “Great Enfeoffment of Star-Soil”, dividing two-thirds of the Endless Starry Sky’s territory evenly among all Eight-character Immortal Scripture Forbidden Zone Ancient Emperors, and setting down many decrees of the Endless Starry Sky that cannot be violated.

The Forbidden Zone Emperors may wage war, may contest, may slaughter, but they must do so beneath the radiance of the Supreme Great Sun Law.

Thus, the Sky Dragon Star Domain returned once more into the hands of Huang Yan Dragon Emperor.

Now, the capital of this Huang Yan Domain has highly developed trade. Fleets from the Supreme Great Sun Domain, Sun Domain, Nine-leaf Domain and many other Star Domains arrive here, bringing specialties from all regions, earning the Supreme Coins they need, then exchanging them for the Treasures, Heavenly Materials and Earthly Treasures, Elixirs, and so on that they themselves require.

Yes, Supreme Coin.

This was one of the orders established by the Great Enfeoffment of Star-Soil a hundred thousand years ago: the Supreme Great Sun Ancient Emperor unified and fixed the currency of the world, declaring all currencies in the Endless Starry Sky illegal; only Supreme Coin is the sole legal currency, and all trade must be conducted in Supreme Coin.

Supreme Coin is round; on the obverse is engraved a Taiqing Flying Sword, on the reverse the phantom of the End of Dharma Path, containing a trace of the End of Dharma Path’s aura. Its material is the most ordinary First-order special Spiritual Gold; its formula is complex, employing multiple anti-counterfeiting techniques and embodying the current highest Immortal Dao Technology of the Endless Starry Sky. Yet its function… is nothing other than serving as a medium of exchange.

Supreme Coin contains no Spiritual Energy; it cannot be used to forge Treasures, still less to lay formations. Such acts are deemed destruction of the cosmic currency, and are illegal.

Supreme Coin is the credit of the Supreme Great Sun Ancient Emperor.

At this moment, within the customs of the Sky Dragon Star Domain, an Emperor Realm Cultivator of the Xianmen Sect was seated in command, eyes closed in Cultivation. All around him surged a torrent-like tide of trade, the clinking of Supreme Coins rang ceaselessly in his ears; tax rates and tax codes flowed here like a river.

Suddenly, this Emperor Realm Cultivator of the Xianmen Sect, named Zhong Jin, opened his eyes, and immediately used a transmission secret technique to contact a True Dragon Cultivator.

This True Dragon Cultivator resided in a gold-glittering Cave Mansion, and laughed, saying, “Fellow Daoist Zhong Jin, is there some great matter?”

This True Dragon was the one in charge of finance and taxation for the Sky Dragon Star Domain, walking the Innate Wealth Dao.

“Golden Luck Daoist,”

“Why has your domain’s export tariff on Dragon Blood Gold risen to fifty-four percent?”

The Emperor Realm of Zhong Jin bore that particular unsmiling demeanor of finance personnel, and said, “This is illegal; it violates the free trade accord. Please reduce it within three months to twenty-four percent or below.”

Dragon Blood Gold is one of the special industrial products under Huang Yan Dragon Emperor. It is among the foundational synthetic materials recently discovered by the Supreme Great Sun Domain for Immortal Rank Great Sun Immortal Spirit Gold. Such materials existed in the past as well, but none were as efficient and cheap as Dragon Blood Gold, which greatly reduces costs.

But this is not the main reason.

Even if Dragon Blood Gold were not an important material for synthesizing Great Sun Immortal Spirit Gold, its export tariff still cannot be raised to above twenty-four percent.

This is a violation.

“Dragon Blood Gold?”

“Fellow Daoist Zhong Jin, you are not fully informed. Recently, our clan has an Ancient Emperor on the verge of breaking through to Forbidden Area Ancient Emperor, and his consumption of Dragon Blood Gold has suddenly skyrocketed. Production is truly not abundant enough…”

The Golden Luck True Dragon smiled obsequiously.

Dragon Blood Gold is one of the specialties of the True Dragon Immortal Dao Technology System. Its sources of production are worlds and Star Domains governed by one True Dragon after another, one Dragon Beast after another.

Given choice, these True Dragons and Dragon Beasts will naturally sell their products to those who pay higher prices.

If someone were to witness this scene, a sense of absurdity would immediately rise in their heart. True Dragons have always been proud to the extreme; expressions such as obsequious smiles and fawning are nearly impossible to see—even those Innate Fortune Pathway True Dragons famed for their amiable wealth-gathering are the same.

However, when the beings witnessing this scene realize that the Cultivator facing the Golden Luck True Dragon hails from the Supreme Great Sun Domain, from the Xianmen Sect, then it is no longer strange.

Then it is no longer strange.

This is the Sect where the Supreme Great Sun Ancient Emperor was born and raised.

“Golden Luck Daoist,”

“Free trade is a principle.”

“It is not something that can be negotiated, nor bargained over.”

The Emperor Realm of Zhong Jin issued a stern warning: “I have already reported the situation here to the Supreme Great Sun Sword Dao Soldiers garrison at the Sky Dragon Base. If behaviors violating free trade are not corrected, if actions offending the will of the Ancient Emperor are not corrected, then,”

“the garrison at Sky Dragon Base is authorized to annihilate any living beings that violate the Supreme Great Sun Law of Free Trade!”

Principle,

is not up for discussion.

As for this title “Emperor Realm of Zhong Jin”, it derives from the ancient honorific Emperor Venerable, a term for Emperor Realm Cultivators. Yet in the Golden Era this title gradually fell out of fashion, because it somewhat resembles Great Emperor, and the word “Emperor Venerable” is itself a touch too arrogant, a bit too presumptuous.

In an era with no Ancient Emperors born, or when the Starry Sky holds but a single Ancient Emperor, the title Emperor Venerable is well-deserved.

But in an age where Emperors arise in multitudes, the title Emperor Venerable becomes rather awkward.

No one issued a ban, yet the many Emperor Realm Cultivators gradually lost any fondness for this title.

Now, in the customs of the current Golden Era, people generally refer to Emperor Realm Cultivators simply as Emperor Realm, Emperor’s Throne, and so forth, with slight regional differences; the honorific Emperor Venerable has gradually faded away.

“You!”

“A mere individual…”

The Golden Luck True Dragon flared into instant fury, tearing apart his obsequious expression.

The True Dragon Immortal Clan has always been supremely proud, looking down upon all races. Now, being so despised by a member of the Human Race, the rage and killing intent in his heart nearly slipped out of control.

Yet faced with such terrifying wrath, the Emperor Realm of Zhong Jin merely let out a cold laugh, and cut off the transmission.

On the spot, within the gold-glittering Cave Mansion of the Dragon Clan, the Golden Luck True Dragon’s fury vanished without a trace in an instant, replaced by a bone-deep fear rising in his heart.

The extreme pride etched into his racial bloodline evaporated, and in its place he recalled those terrifying Supreme Great Sun Sword Dao Soldiers stationed at the Sky Dragon Base.

Once the three-day deadline arrives, those fiends will truly come slaughtering this way, exterminating everything!

By then, though he is a Emperor Realm True Dragon, before those dreadful fiends he may not even be comparable to a dog!

Yet the tariff on Dragon Blood Gold is not something he himself can change…

For a time, the Golden Luck True Dragon’s heart was thrown into utter chaos.
