[BL]The Matchmaker Guide Doesn't Want Love
Chapter 198: Ch 198: Having Breakfast - Part 1
Noah could only shake his head at Alan’s stubbornness. Somehow, he had a feeling that Alan would not like this place, no matter how good it actually was... not that he was wrong about how shabby this place was.
The small cabin-type villa had a sturdy frame, but nothing else that looked fancy. The walls were in need of another paint job, and the floors had a slightly yellow tint after being left unused for so long.
It was all things that needed to be fixed by Noah, but he had been too busy wallowing in his despair to pay attention to them.
A small blush crept up over Noah’s face as he watched Alan looking around with a disapproving gaze.
"This place won’t do. This is a dumpster more than a place for humans to live in. I am going to take you back with me, and we will live in a place better than this. Do you understand?"
Alan asked as he grabbed Noah’s hand and almost dragged him out, but Noah managed to catch himself in time and stop himself from being dragged away.
He somehow found a way to dig his feet into the ground and stubbornly hold on.
"Hey, wait a minute. I am fine staying here. This place might look shabby, but it is not too bad. Besides, I feel calmer being here, so I don’t want to go back."
Noah was telling the truth. This place did make him feel a lot better. He almost felt like he could sense Erin’s presence here. But that was because Erin was the one who bought this place for him.
The fact that the Labs had left him alone and not interfered until now was another charm that made this place special in Noah’s heart.
However, neither Alan nor Daniel looked happy to hear him speak.
"Noah, I know that this place feels special for you, but that is only because you have convinced yourself about it. Being here for a long time is not good for your health, so it will be for the best if you come back with us. We will take care of you."
Daniel spoke softly, making Noah frown.
He knew that Daniel was saying this for his own benefit, but Noah still felt upset about his words.
He did not want to leave his space after settling here for almost a year.
Seeing his reluctance, Daniel gave up for now. Both he and Alan exchanged a look, agreeing that they would slowly seduce Noah and get him out of this place.
After all, Noah could not see it himself, but he was really unstable right now. And calming down by being ’home’ was only a temporary measure.
...
Noah threw his tired body onto his hard bed and relaxed.
The bed was not comfortable, and the mattress hardly sank under his weight. But Noah still preferred to lie down in this bed and relax over an overly soft bed.
It just felt more... appropriate... for someone like him.
He had led Alan and Daniel to stay in the guest room, but the bed there had been small and just sturdy enough to take one person’s weight.
Noah even recalled the disgusted look Alan had given the bed and how Daniel had politely asked him if he could sleep on the couch instead.
Unfortunately for him, Noah had no couch, and that bed was the only thing he could offer.
Well, this was his own bed, but he did not feel ready to invite them into his room yet.
’But does it matter? You already invited them inside your body. Why does sharing a bed matter now?’
Noah shook his head, trying to clear his thoughts out.
It was time for him to be thinking of such useless stuff. He wanted to sleep since he had a big day coming up.
He closed his eyes, and before he knew it, he was deeply asleep.
In fact, he was so deeply asleep that he did not even feel the bed dipping, nor did he feel two bodies slipping beside him in the bed.
Two pairs of arms wrapped around him, making the tension in his body relax. His breathing got much easier with this, and he snuggled against the chest in front of him, causing the person’s breath to hitch.
"Hey, stop breathing too loudly. You are going to wake Noah up like this."
Daniel complained as he looked at Alan with an envious expression. But that only served to make Alan grin even more as he snuggled up against Noah.
"Why? Are you jealous of how close I am to Noah? Maybe you should rethink your attitude and improve it. That way, you would be able to get closer to Noah as well—ouch..."
Alan mockingly rubbed his arm where he had been struck by Daniel, and he looked at the other guide in front of him with a challenging expression.
Daniel’s face looked flushed, and he even flinched as he realised what he had just done. But he refused to back down and pulled Noah until he was facing Daniel, then pulled his face against his own neck.
"It will be better for Noah to sleep facing me. I don’t trust what you could do to him in his sleep."
Daniel hissed before he flashed Alan one last warning and went to sleep.
He was well aware of the amused expression Alan had on his face when he closed his eyes. His breath slowly eased up, and Daniel fell asleep soon after.
However, Alan had not fallen asleep. He waited until Daniel was asleep to pull Noah out of his arms and back into his.
Alan had no intention of allowing Daniel to monopolise Noah’s time. He also did not like how attached Noah was to this cabin. It made him feel jealous.
’Should I get rid of this cabin? Maybe that would make Noah depend on me a little more? I can set it on fire and tell Noah that it was a monster...’
However, despite Alan’s instincts, he did not do anything... this time.
