[BL]The Matchmaker Guide Doesn't Want Love
Chapter 190: Ch 190: Reunion - Part 1
The monster realised that Noah was after the dungeon core, and it attacked Noah’s middle to get him away. But it was a little too late.
Noah’s hand had already wrapped around the small core, and he yanked it from its place.
"Ah, you are... a little... too late..."
Noah grinned as he was thrown around like a doll. His hand hurt a lot because he had grabbed the core with his bare hands, but that was a necessary sacrifice for the sake of closing this dungeon.
He knew that the reason he was being this reckless was because his tendency to self-destruct was at work here.
’Tsk, if I still had the system, then it would have been warning me that I am being too much. It might even have tried to control my behaviour...’
But he did not have the system with him. Instead, he had his exhausted body that wanted to give up at any second.
The monster, however, was not as tired or hopeless as Noah, and it stood up to face him once more. It made Noah let out a sigh, and he got ready as well.
His blade clashed with the monster’s, but the one who was pushed back was him. His physical strength was failing him, and the monster noticed.
It took advantage of this distraction to raise its body and bring it down, causing Noah to brace himself for the impact.
Only...it never came. Something slammed into the monster’s body, causing it to slam into the wall. It was a familiar power, causing Noah to blink in shock as he watched the monster hit the wall.
However, it did not take long before panic started to hit him hard, and he felt like he had to leave.
’Shit! That power was Alan’s...I am not safe here. I need to—’
But Noah’s body wouldn’t move. His legs had given up under the pressure, and he felt goosebumps covering his arms as he tried to make them move.
There was a familiar presence behind him, which made it impossible for Noah to even turn around and face them. And soon, another familiar presence stood in front of him and blinked down at him.
"What are you doing here?"
Daniel asked in a low but curious voice. He did not sound angry, just curious and understanding. And that made Noah close his eyes in shock.
He would have honestly preferred it if Daniel was angry. But why did he have to be so sweet to him? It made it harder for Noah to hold on to.
"I..."
Noah opened his mouth, and he was surprised that words were even coming out of it. His throat felt like it had been clogged up until now.
He felt impatient to speak, but Daniel, however, remained calm and allowed Noah time to speak up.
"Go on. I can wait for an answer. Take your time and reply to me."
Daniel was still gentle, giving Noah all the time he needed. It was rather sweet of him. But Noah still could not bring himself to speak properly.
"I...I just... should get going..."
In the end, Noah was a coward. He did not know how much Daniel knew about his circumstances, but there was no need for him to get involved with Noah anymore.
After all, not only did he have a bright future ahead of him, but also an understanding partner. Being acquainted with Noah would only cause trouble.
So Noah tried to run away, causing Daniel to sigh. The look of disapproval in the other guide’s eyes made Noah feel even more scared. He felt like he had done something he was not supposed to.
"Tsk. My dear Noah. I had thought you would have learned better by now and decided not to run away once we met. But I see that you are the same coward as ever."
Daniel whispered just loud enough for Noah to hear, and he felt a little insulted.
"I am not a coward. I—"
"Well, it doesn’t matter. Because I am not going to allow you to leave."
Noah looked at Daniel and finally saw the slightly crazy look in the other guide’s eyes. It made him uneasy, and he took a step back, only to run into something even more solid.
He made the mistake of looking back, and immediately noticed that Alan was looking at him with dark eyes, without even blinking.
It made Noah’s breath hitch, and he felt like he was in danger.
"Alan, I—"
Noah did not even get to finish his sentence before his mouth was claimed in a sour-steering kiss. The kiss was deep, causing Noah to feel like his soul was being consumed by the esper.
A thick tongue probed his own mouth, forcing it open and he allowed it entry.
Noah tried to open his eyes and look around, but his eyes met Daniel’s burning ones, causing his heart to beat loudly in his chest.
This was not right. He was not supposed to be kissed by Alan like this. And especially not in front of his partner.
But here he was, being kissed like this was the only thing that could save Alan. Noah was being devoured by that kiss. And the longer he was being kissed, the darker Daniel’s eyes looked.
Finally, the other guide decided that he was done watching and he stepped forward. He pulled his shirt over his head, followed by his pants until he was standing in his underwear in front of Noah.
And finally, Alan broke the kiss and grabbed Noah’s face to make him look at Daniel.
"I missed you so much. Your guiding feels just as nice as ever. It hurt too much when you were not here. But you are going to help us now, right?"
Alan asked breathlessly as he looked at Noah’s dazed expression. And all Noah could do was nod at those words. Anything more than this felt too hard to do at the moment.
"Good boy. Then, come and give Daniel a kiss. He missed you so much as well."
