Bloodbound To My Four Archenemies.
Chapter 74: What I cannot do.
July 13 2026, 9:11pm.
Nyx’ara knew deep down that the only thing she was playing with was fire. She knew that acting all hot and cold and pretending to be a viperous hothead around these men would lead her nowhere but somewhere six feet under.
However, to her, she felt like she was already dead. Like she had been dead the moment they sentenced her to this marriage and that there was no ’amount’ of punishment they could mete out on her that could rival the one that she had suffered in the hands of Flynn and Elara.
Her fingers clutched tightly at her purse as she walked in front, leading the way, and her heart pounded in her chest as she heard the all too familiar sounds of their footsteps echoing behind her as they followed.
When she arrived outside and found a limousine already parked, open and waiting for her, she stopped briefly, turned to eye her husbands, and then got in without a fuss.
Kieran, who had been watching her closely the entire night, felt his heart jump right in his chest when she bent forward and got into the car. He had half expected her to ask for help when she briefly turned around to eye him and his brothers.
I mean, who wouldn’t ask for help dressed like that?
Who wouldn’t seize an opportunity such as this to play the temptress? 𝑓𝑟ℯℴ𝓂
Nyx’ara most certainly.
His chest tightened as she scooted into the furthest corner of the car and got in, her face a completely stoic mask of indifference.
Draven and Azriel got in right after, and they were probably thinking the same thing because they would not take their eyes off her. However, just as the last person, Rhys, got in, a familiar figure rushed over to the side of the car, waved frantically as if asking them to stop, and cried out;
"You guys forgot about me!"
The sound of Seraphina’s familiar voice jolted Nyx’ara out of her train of thought. She glanced up, dragged her eyes across the other lady from her head to her toes, and snorted under her breath before turning away.
Draven, who had witnessed all of these and still felt extremely guilty for what Nyx’ara had been forced to witness earlier, almost smiled at her.
Almost.
That is until he remembered that she hated him as much as she hated Seraphina and he could not stand the thought of her hating him.
His face fell, twisting into an expression so dark, it rivaled the night and with a nonchalant shrug of his shoulders, he turned to Seraphina and drawled;
"We didn’t forget about you."
That made Nyx’ara’a’s head whip up one more time, shock and disappointment gleaming across her features.
"We just didn’t wait because you’re not supposed to join us in the first place."
His response made Seraphina reel in shock. She gasped. In surprise, she pressed her hand over her chest, a look of complete mortification crossing her features before she cried;
"W-what do you mean?"
"You know what I mean, Seraphina," Draven answered without missing a beat. "It means that we are to attend the event with our wife, not with our wife and you."
He leaned forward carefully and accidentally dragged a lungful of Nyx’ara’s blueberry scent into his lungs. The sweet smell made his chest almost catch fire. It made a subtle moan rumble somewhere deep within his chest. His eyes darkened with just enough desire for Seraphina to notice. And in that moment, she turned briefly to glare at Nyx’ara, her face twisting into an ugly sneer as she snapped;
"Is it be-because of her?"
Draven flinched as though he’d been physically struck.
"Are you turning me away because your insecure wife cannot stand my presence? Did she put you up for this?!"
"Seraphina—" Azriel warned under his breath, his voice shaking with fury, but she still wouldn’t stop vibrating with anger.
"She only saw me sucking your cock— which is also something that she cannot do— and yet, what do I get in return? I am shunned from the car I used for errands. I am treated like I’m worth not more than scraps beneath your feet?!"
Her outburst made the other brothers turn to look at Draven who at the moment looked like he was about to combust from fury.
"Whose dick did you suck?" Kieran snapped, his gaze falling on Draven. It was obvious he already knew, he just wanted to be sure.
Fortunately, no one responded.
Nyx’ara, who had been quiet the entire time, finally moved. She turned to Seraphina, clasping her fingers together as she hissed;
"W-what?"
Seraphina lifted her head defiantly to meet her gaze.
"Why would you c-call me out when I have been nothing but civil to you? W-why would y-you even accuse me of something I-I am innocent of?"
It wasn’t until this moment that Seraphina finally allowed herself to take a good look at Nyx’ara. Like really look at her. Her eyes widened and her nostrils flared when she saw the flawless makeup on her face... her blood red lips, her shimmering burgundy dress that clung to her skin like a glove... and her impeccable hair hanging at the top of her head like a crown.
Jealousy burned within her like molten magma down a volcanic mountain and her eyes thinned with disbelief and rage curled together.
She was only briefly taken aback by the other woman’s beautiful appearance before her smugness promptly returned. She snarled; "Because it is the truth! You can try to pretend like you are all high and mighty now, but the truth is that you’ll always remain beneath me. You were married to be punished and you’ll always be nothing but a murderous loser to them..."
"Seraphina—!"
"You claim that you are their wife but lack the courage to lay even a single finger on them, and as a woman, I am even ashamed!"
As soon as she uttered that statement, silence settled in the car, echoing through the vast space until the temperature dropped significantly.
Nyx’ara was the first to snap out of it. She leaned forward, her eyes never for once leaving Seraphina’s face as she hissed; "Y-you say I la-lack the courage to touch my husbands?"
Something akin to uncertainty crossed Seraphina’s face as she sneered;
"Yes."
"You say I-I cannot do-do this?" Nyx’ara continued, her voice dropping into a purr as she draped an arm over Draven’s shoulder.
As soon as she did that, he froze but he didn’t move away. If anything, he scooted even closer.
A small smirk played across her lips as she knelt between his legs, and as soon as she propped her elbows on top of Draven’s legs, leaning in as though she was about to fiddle with his zippers, he stiffened and his face went completely red.
His hands shot up to grab both of her arms and with a bruising hold, he hissed so darkly, it sent shivers down her spine: "What are you trying to do, Nyx’ara?"
But she did not respond right away. Instead, she rose elegantly, went back to her seat, and drawled;
"My hu-husbands are the ones who wouldn’t l-let me touch them, a-and that’s not my fault."
She let the words wash over everyone before she turned away to look out the window. But at this time, all four brothers were too stunned to speak. The driver who had witnessed all of these was literally jumping in his seat and Seraphina... Well, Seraphina remained where she was standing, her eyes fixated on the huge tent which had now formed in Draven’s pants.
He was absolutely hard. For Nyx’ara.
And he hadn’t even been interested when she had tried to touch him earlier that day.
