Bloodbound Codex: I Grow Stronger in Secret
Chapter 355: Star Union Form
"Doom Magic - Tetherens’ Destruction."The moment those words reached his ears, Atlas saw the enormous sphere of stellar energy reappear directly in front of them. His eyes widened for a brief moment as the sphere moved at an instantaneous speed, leaving him with no time to react.
Atlas could not even vanish from where he stood, as the stellar sphere was moving far faster than he could escape.
The sphere struck both Atlas and Kael as the female Eternal watched them from a distance. Her presence itself seemed to radiate the energy of stars and planets, causing the surrounding space to bend under its influence.
The moment the sphere consumed both of them, it suddenly contracted inward, shrinking until it was no larger than a small ball. For a brief instant, the entire region remained still, as though the destructive energy had been compressed into that tiny space.
The moment that happened...
BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOMM!!!!
The explosion swallowed the surrounding space in an instant, releasing a destructive wave that spread across millions of kilometers. Small planets located roughly a thousand kilometers away cracked apart as their surfaces melted under the immense heat, and the pressure soon reached their interiors.
Within moments, several celestial bodies began breaking down, scattering molten fragments across the surrounding region.
Asteroids disintegrated into dust as the shockwave tore through the nearby celestial bodies, leaving trails of burning debris in its wake. Even distant stars flickered violently as the destructive force reached them, their outer layers distorting under the pressure before enormous flares erupted from their surfaces.
Space itself twisted around the epicenter, bending the light of distant celestial objects and scattering their images across the darkness. The expanding wave continued outward, transforming the once-calm region into a vast field of blazing debris, shattered planets, and violently disturbed stars.
The female figure continued watching the destruction as a smile formed on her lips. "Mere fools who dared to think arrogantly, you lot should have just answered my lord while he was asking peacefully. Nevertheless, the dead have no words to the living."
Having finished speaking, she began descending slowly toward the spaceship, seemingly satisfied with the result of her attack. However, just as she was about to return to the vessel, a voice reached her from beyond the destruction that was still spreading through space.
"Are you sure we are dead, though? I think you overestimate yourself if you think only this can kill us." In an instant, her eyes widened as she saw the entire region of destruction begin to swirl around a single point. The destructive energy, along with the smoke and dust scattered throughout the area, was drawn toward the epicenter and absorbed completely.
The phenomenon continued until the surrounding space gradually returned to view, revealing the figures that should have been reduced to nothing by her attack.
When everything finally cleared, the woman’s pupilless eyes contracted and trembled in utter horror. She could hardly believe that both humans were still alive after such destruction, especially when they possessed only Emperor-rank strength.
Neither of them appeared to have suffered any damage, leaving her unable to understand how they had survived an attack powerful enough to devastate the surrounding celestial bodies.
"How? Is that what you are thinking?" Atlas asked in his usual indifferent voice, seemingly unconcerned by her reaction. "To know that, I think your general needs to step in. A mere soldier will not be enough." His words echoed throughout the surrounding space as he clenched his fist, appearing to examine the sudden increase in his strength.
Behind him, Kael remained utterly confused as he tried to understand what had happened.
’I remember I had deployed my absolute defense, but...suddenly I am here again?’ Kael looked around before turning toward Atlas, and the moment he did, a realization struck him. ’Huh? What did he do, though?’
He tried to piece together the sequence of events, but he could not determine how they had escaped the attack or what Atlas had done during that brief moment. Before he could understand anything, Atlas suddenly raised his right hand and extended it toward the female Eternal.
Atlas held his palm open in her direction, leaving the woman confused about what he intended to do. She was still shocked that the human had survived her previous attack, but that did not mean she would allow him to speak as though he were superior to her.
"Human, your abilities seem unknown, but do not think for a second that you are invincible because of that." Her voice carried clear hostility as she looked down at him, unwilling to accept that someone of his rank could challenge her so casually.
"What I showed was nothing but a fraction of the power I possess, do not try anything meaningless, or you will regret-" Before she could finish her sentence, Atlas spoke with his hand still extended toward her as though he disregarded her meaningless speech entirely.
"Spatial Lock." The moment those words reached her ears, she felt the space immediately surrounding her body lock into place, restricting her movements without any energy being released from Atlas.
The woman frowned as she struggled to understand the phenomenon occurring around her. She could not sense any familiar energy controlling the space, yet the area around her body had become completely immovable.
Before she could investigate further, Atlas spoke again, his expression remaining unchanged. "Spatial Implosion." This time, the space surrounding her began collapsing inward, placing immense pressure on her body from every direction.
Her eyes widened once again as she looked at Atlas’s clenched fist, as though he were crushing a mere insect between his fingers. The realization that a human was treating her in such a manner filled her with rage, and her eyes turned bloodshot as she struggled against the pressure.
"HUMAN! HOW DARE YOU!" Her furious shout echoed through the surrounding space, but Atlas’s indifferent expression did not waver as he continued tightening his fist. He maintained the pressure, and the result he had been waiting for finally began to appear as her body started to crumple under the inward collapse of space.
"KHUGGGGH!!"
A white liquid spilled from her mouth instead of blood as the pressure continued to crush her body. The pain forced her to recognize that she could not afford to remain passive any longer, and she immediately prepared to use another ability to escape.
"Doom Magic - Star Union Form." The moment those words left her mouth, an intense burst of stellar energy erupted from her body, shattering the spatial lock Atlas had imposed upon her. Even the collapsing space itself broke apart as a blinding white radiance spread outward from her, filling the surrounding region and forcing both Atlas and Kael to face its overwhelming brilliance.
The sudden release of energy disrupted Atlas’s technique, allowing the woman to break free from his control.
’Magic? And Star Union Form? Are you fucking kidding me? If what I am thinking is right...then...’ Kael could not finish the thought as his eyes remained fixed on the woman’s sudden transformation. The intense radiance gradually revealed that her appearance had changed, confirming the possibility he had been hoping was wrong.
’Fuck...’, he cursed inwardly as the very thing he had feared finally happened.
Her entire body turned pure white, radiating the overwhelming energy of a star as blinding stellar radiance covered her from head to toe, while an aura of destruction spread around her, causing the surrounding space to distort under its pressure.
Behind her, three small spherical concentrations of stellar energy revolved continuously, each sphere containing an immense amount of concentrated power. Their surfaces glowed with intense white light, and the energy radiating from them made the surrounding space tremble.
Her presence had completely transformed, no longer resembling an Eternal, but an embodiment of stellar destruction capable of unleashing catastrophic force upon anything that approached her.
