Bloodbound Codex: I Grow Stronger in Secret
Chapter 330: Avatar Slayer
"Oh? You think I was joking? Must be because you have never met me." Atlas spoke with amusement, and in the very next moment, his right hand shot forward at a speed that defied logic itself.
It moved almost a hundred thousand times faster than the speed of light, closing the distance between them before the man in the ashen body could react. Before the man could even reach Atlas, his hand had already pierced through his heart, which he firmly clenched within his palm.
BURST!
"KHUGGH!"
The man coughed up blood as he suddenly felt something burning from within his body, spreading from the very place where Atlas’s hand had pierced his heart. Atlas released his Flames of Nothingness, allowing them to spread directly from the wound and consume the man from the inside.
"Now I wonder if I was joking?" Atlas asked with the same amusement, while the man’s eyes widened in horror as he felt his entire existence being erased without any resistance, as though his own will meant nothing before that power.
’Wh-What kind of power is this? This shouldn’t be possible!’
He screamed those words in his mind, but before he could even process what was happening, his entire body was engulfed by the Flames of Nothingness. The flames continued to spread until nothing remained of him, erasing his entire existence before he could do anything to resist.
Atlas looked at the man’s fading eyes, which were still filled with Bloodlust, before casually dusting off his hand as though he had merely touched something dirty, ’How dare you try to take Seraphiel? No matter who it is, they will all die if they come after her.’
Atlas then turned his attention toward his own hand and narrowed his eyes slightly as he recalled the sensation he had felt during the erasure, ’I didn’t quite feel like I had completely erased him and that stone guy. Something is suspicious here.’
He continued thinking about it for a moment before turning toward Seraphiel, and in the next instant, he appeared directly in front of her and pulled her into a tight hug. "It is better that we go back. These kinds of people are always roaming around the galaxy, so it isn’t safe for you to stay here."
Seraphiel immediately wrapped her arms around him and held him tightly before nodding in response, her voice still carrying a hint of worry.
"Yes." Atlas did not waste any more time, and the two of them vanished from the place almost immediately, his eyes glowing slightly as they departed. Neither of them had any intention of remaining there any longer, and they returned to Eliomor without a second thought.
...
While the two of them disappeared, a being in an entirely different place spoke with amusement, completely unaware to them as they left. If anyone had been able to see that being’s appearance, they would have noticed that he looked exactly like the man with the ashen body whom Atlas had just erased.
"Someone that interesting is wandering around a small Galaxy like that? That girl is under good protection by coincidence." He paused briefly, then stopped his movement, which had been taking place at an unimaginable speed, as his ashen body remained covered beneath a cape.
He narrowed his eyes as a small book appeared in his hand, its surface shining faintly within the endless darkness.
"He was able to erase one of my Avatars at the Transcendent rank according to that Galaxy’s system, even without a true form, that should be impossible. That girl was not the only special one, I see..." He grinned slightly as he looked ahead and noticed several red eyes glowing within the darkness.
’Void Beasts?’ he thought calmly, wondering why they had appeared in this place, ’Well, no matter. I have important things to do.’
With a single thought, the book vanished from his hand, and in that same instant, all the red eyes scattered throughout the darkness faded away as though they had never existed.
The Void Beasts behind those eyes had all been killed without the being needing to make a single movement. Every single one of them had died at the same moment, erased through nothing more than a thought.
If anyone from the Primartia Galaxy, no, If the Primartia Galaxy itself had seen even a single one of those red eyes, the entire galaxy would have flattened instantly.
Yet...this man had erased hundreds of them with nothing but a thought.
The horrifying entity hidden beneath the cape smiled as he thought back to that girl, his expression carrying a hint of amusement. ’It is better that she stays with him, after all... the day of ???? is arriving soon.’ With that final thought, he vanished from the endless darkness.
On the other hand, some hours later, Atlas had spent more time with Seraphiel to help her return to her normal mood before finally parting ways with her. He had dropped her off in the Realm of Astraya, where she would resume her training, and then left to attend to his own matters.
There was nothing particularly urgent for him to do, except that he needed to be careful never to open the Codex while in outer space, where beings of that level could immediately notice his presence and breach his separate space.
He wanted to check the results of killing those two beings, wondering whether the Codex had recorded something similar to Orivian or whether he would receive nothing at all because the sensation of erasure he had felt earlier had seemed incomplete.
At this moment, Atlas could be seen standing inside a Divine-rank Ruin, where the battle had already ended. The Boss monster that had emerged to fight the intruder had been reduced to a corpse, just like the other monsters scattered around it, leaving the area quiet once more.
The relic of the Ruin floated above its pedestal directly in front of him, remaining untouched despite the battle that had taken place nearby.
However, Atlas’s attention was not on the relic or the corpses surrounding it, as his gaze remained fixed on the Codex in his hands.
In particular, he was looking at the fourth page of the Codex, which had automatically flipped after absorbing the blood of every monster inside the Ruin, including the Boss monster, and recording their Traits.
He examined the page carefully, his eyes settling on the entry that had appeared beneath his existing title.
