Chapter 423: King of the Black Orcs
"Alright, everyone take two and spread around."
Gungan handed everyone two vials of the smelly Black Orc bait, and then everyone clogged their nostrils with the lockers.
Then, they spread about in the swamp—but they didn’t wander too far from each other—because there were still some Black Orc patrols in the area always.
Everyone opened the vials, and even with the blockers, they could feel the disgusting stench attacking their nose.
"Ugh... Holy shit."
Fang Raon shook his head, and then he spilled the first vial on the ground, and after walking for another fifty meters, he spilled the second vial.
Everyone else also dumped their vials on the ground, and then they quickly rushed out of the area.
But no matter how far they walked, the smell didn’t seem to leave them—but soon enough they were far enough that they didn’t need to use blockers anymore.
"Did this work?"
Poppy asked.
"I am sure it did. Let’s start making our way to the Black Orc village."
Gungan said.
...
Black Orc Village.
The gates rammed open as furious-looking Black Orcs stormed out of their village with maces in hand.
They were smelling something horrendous, and they had to go and fix it!
The village turned empty, and then, hiding nearby, Gungan and the rest of the party snuck inside the gate.
They closed the gate and barricaded it.
In front of them stood the massive King of the Black Orc’s fortress. It was made of wood, straws, and rocks.
"...Skadi, do it."
Gungan said.
Skadi summoned her crimson grimoire, and then the pages flipped open like a vicious snarl of a beast.
"Firehail!"
A fire cloud appeared above the fortress. It started raining fire. The straw roof began to quickly ignite and spread.
Fang Raon pulled out his Blackest Blade and Demon-Killing Shotgun.
"What the hell is that?"
Matthew asked as he got a good look at the shotgun, as he hadn’t ever seen a shotgun in this game before!
"You’ll see."
Fang Raon said with a smile.
In that moment, a roar of a beast sounded, and then, the King of the Black Orcs rammed through the double doors of his palace.
King of the Black Orcs was a massive dark-skinned creature with large tusks, a big round head, and dreadlocks that reached down to his waist.
There were many different kinds of tattoos spreading across his massive body—and covering him, he was wearing nothing but a light brown loincloth that was wrapped around his waist.
"A’RAKUN!"
King of the Black Orcs, Gorvakh, pulled out his massive sword that was dripping with tar or something like it.
"Do not get hit by that tar-looking thing. You’ll get cursed immediately."
Gungan said with a dark expression.
He was unfortunate enough to get hit by that during their last raid and almost died because of it.
"Let’s start this thing!"
Gungan said, and then he pulled out his sword and shield, and then he started banging his shield with the sword.
"Intimidation!"
King of the Black Orc was hit by the Intimidation—and he got affected—it wasn’t just any ordinary Intimidation.
Gungan’s Intimidation skill had reached level 5!
Matthew and Fang Raon made their first move, and once they got closer to the King of the Black Orcs, words appeared above his head.
[King of the Black Orcs - HP: 100%]
"Supreme Slash!"
Matthew slashed across the chest of the King of the Black Orcs, and the first blood was shed successfully.
"Fang Raon’s Midnight Sever!"
Fang Raon slashed at the King of the Black Orcs, and it hit him in the chest—but also a sword wound appeared on his back!
It was like the sword attack went all the way through!
’Make your own legacy, young one.’
A voice suddenly echoed in Fang Raon’s head, and he recognized that voice—it was none other than Aurel.
He had been thinking about how she was feeling now that her legacy was replaced by his legacy—as it felt like he had robbed her.
However.
It sounded like she was happy. The point of the legacies wasn’t to carry the legacy of those who have died, but to create your own legacy.
And he was first to succeed.
’I will.’
Fang Raon pointed the Demon-Killing Shotgun towards the face of the King of the Black Orcs and pulled on the trigger.
BANG!
The shotgun pellets smashed into the face of Gorvakh, and he stumbled back with a bloody face.
"Holy hell, that’s a powerful weapon!"
Matthew screamed out, and even the rest of the party were shocked at the power of that Demon-Killing Shotgun.
They were thinking that it might be a little bit too overpowered!
In that moment, Kennelman and Skadi rained arrows and spells on the King of the Black Orcs—lowering his health drastically.

Gorvakh then started gritting his teeth, and it looked like he was hyperventilating as his health continued to drop rapidly.
Everyone, except Fang Raon, knew what was coming.
"Cover your ears!"
Gungan shouted, and then he clogged his ears with his fingers—everyone did the same—and Fang Raon followed suit.
At that moment, Gorvakh released a terrifying scream that echoed throughout the floor like a thunderstorm.
"That was loud. Will other Black Orcs hear that?"
Fang Raon asked.
"They do, but they hate the smell of the bait too much that they can’t bear to smell it any longer, so they’re trying everything in their power to make the smell go away.
"Even if their king is in danger."
Gungan said.
At that moment, Gorvakh swung his sword back, and he just swung it through the air—it wasn’t going to hit anybody.
However, that wasn’t the intention of his attack.
The black tar flung out of the blade of his sword, flying through the air like a dark, sinister cloud, and everyone quickly moved out of the way.
Gorvakh then moved. He immediately managed to tell who was the weakest one in the group from a single glance.
He appeared before Kennelman.
"Again?"
Kennelman’s eye twitched as this was the second time that he was targeted first—and they understood it was because Gorvakh wanted to cut numbers down.
So he always attacked the weakest.
It did hurt his pride as a man, as he honestly believed the weakest was Poppy, because she was Helper.
Yet.
Gorvakh deemed him as the weakest!
"I am not weak, you big brute bastard."
Kennelman said coldly.
Then, Gorvakh swung the sword down, and Kennelman flipped over the blade beautifully like a professional acrobat.
"Take this... Monster Scaring Arrow!"
Kennelman put three arrows on the string and shot them with such accuracy that they stabbed into Gorvakh’s right eye!
"ROAAAAAAAAAARRRRRRRRRRRRRR!"
Gorvakh screamed as he held his left eye, and then he pulled the arrows out one by one, but his right eye remained shut.
It was bleeding heavily.
"Who is the weakest now, bitch!"
Kennelman laughed like a mad man.
"Chains of the Kerberos."
Skadi created a crimson magic spell under Gorvakh, and then flaming chains burst out of the magic circle and wrapped around the hulking figure of the monster.
The flaming chains were burning him!
Then.
Fang Raon appeared under Gorvakh, and he raised the Blackest Blade high—like he was waiting for lightning to strike the blade.
"Burn strong like the fires of our ancestors!"
Fang Raon shouted.
Black demon flames shot out of the blade of the Blackest Blade, and it stabbed through Gorvakh’s body with a scorching inferno.
"ROAAAAAAAAAAAAARRRRRRR!"
Gorvakh’s eyes rolled back to his skull because of the immense pain.

"...This is so easy compared to last time, don’t you think so, boss?"
Matthew asked of Gungan, who nodded, as it was pretty obvious why this was the case this time around.
Last time around they didn’t have Fang Raon with them.
His attacks just do so much damage that King of the Black Orcs was already kneeling after a couple of those attacks.
While Matthew’s, Kennelman’s, and Skadi’s attacks do like 5% damage each—Fang Raon’s does 20% or even more!
The difference in strength was crazy, and it was obvious that Fang Raon was too strong for a floor as low as this one.
He might even be able to defeat Gorvakh all by himself!
Matthew started slashing at Gorvakh. Skadi used all her mana to attack. Kennelman emptied his quiver of arrows.
Gorvakh stumbled, and then it collapsed to the ground—staining the ground in a black blood that looked like the tar that he had been spilling.
[Your party has killed the King of the Black Orcs!]
[Congratulations!]
Gungan looked ahead of him with a smile spreading on his face—he had another notification that others didn’t have.
[LEVEL UP!]
[Level 5 → 6]
"...Boss, did something happen?"
Skadi saw the smile on his face, and it made her heart race, and then Gungan looked at everyone with a smile.
"You all know I’ve been trying to become level 6 for the longest time. I finally did it."
It surprised everyone, and they quickly congratulated him, as they knew that he had been stuck at level 5 for a long time.
Even before any of them had met Gungan!
He just never had a party to climb floors with, and now he had, which sped up his advancement speed greatly.
"Congratulations."
Fang Raon said.
"I might be level 6, but I am definitely not a match for you."
Gungan said with a wry smile.
After level 5, every player had come to the realization that even if you were the same level as the player next to you, the difference in skill and experience could be immense.
Like when Raizen and Rook were level 6, they were twice as strong. No, thrice as strong. No, quadruple as strong as others at the same level as them.
The difference could be insanely massive!
