Chapter 315: Can we fucking go now?

Seoha’s POV

"Seoha?" Taesan calls my name like it’s his favorite word, and I look up at him.

While everyone chose to dance and eat and mingle, I chose to stick to Taesan’s side for the rest of the evening.

He’s here, and I’m not letting him leave my side no matter what. My clothes are starting to smell like him and I love it.

"Should we leave yet?" he asks for the fifth time in that deep voice and I shake my head in refusal.

One of the flowers in my hair falls loose, and my alpha catches it before it would hit the ground. He tucks its stem back into my hair and hums with satisfaction.

He’s leaning against the wall to keep his weight off his leg and I’m standing in front of him. This position, as simple as it is, makes us look like we’re flirting with each other.

"You want to stay some more?" he asks and I nod before looking at the people around us.

"The people of Hwangyeon feel like family" I say and he pulls me to himself, resting his chin on my head.

"I’ll give you a family, baby" he says. It sounds like a cute declaration, but I can smell the jealousy on my alpha.

"You already gave me a family, San-ah" I purr for him, and it might be a trick of the disappearing sunlight, but I’m sure his cheeks are slowly turning red.

"I gave a family, didn’t I?" he asks and my omega responds with a soft, playful growl.

"Yes you did" I whisper to feed his ego and he growls, rubbing his face into my hair.

"After our twins, let’s have more kids" Taesan murmurs the question in my ear, and it’s my turn to blush.

The words and the implications are very thought provoking. I can’t help but have the thought of letting him breed me and...

"Let’s go?" he asks the same question he has been asking since he returned to my side.

Shall we leave?

Do you want to go?

What do you think about going somewhere private?

He’s excited to end the day and so am I, but I don’t want to leave yet. I haven’t fully experienced a family atmosphere like this before.

"The sooner we go, the sooner we can build our family..." he says, tempting me further and I chuckle to hide my red cheeks.

"Let’s wait a little more" I say and he sighs. My alpha scowls in defeat as he lifts my hand and kisses the ring sitting on my finger.

"I own you now" he murmurs against my knuckle.

"Forever" I say, supporting his words.

He owns me now and forever, and even though we aren’t kissing, the brush of his lips against my knuckles makes me shiver.

Taesan straightens and rests against the wall. His eyes scan the people around us and suddenly, he’s frowning with disapproval.

"Isn’t that Haeri kid hogging my pup?" he asks and I lift my head to find the girls.

They’re next to my grandma and Jisu. Haeri has her little arms around Sooin, and our daughter is perfectly still to accommodate the obviously forced bear hug

"Sooin doesn’t mind being hogged" I say, smiling at how adorable they are.

"I mind" Taesan says.

"They’re just kids. They’re both so cute" I joke and Taesan shakes his head in disagreement.

"Sooin is never getting married" he says and I start to laugh at the serious expression on his face.

He looks like the kind of dad who would chase boys away from his daughter with a gun.

"You can’t say that" I tsk, brushing ash off his chest.

"I’m serious. I’m going to hide my little girl away from the world and I’m going to protect her from greedy men" he continues with his serious talk, ignoring how hard I’m laughing at him.

"She’ll fall in love one day, you won’t be able to stop it" I tell him through my laughter and he glares at me.

He’s looking at me like I’m the reason for all the lovers in the world.

"My daughter will not doing any of that" he says and I sigh, leaning against him without care of the dirt on him.

"What if she meets a man or woman who’s like you?" I ask softly and he stops to think for a few minutes.

"Hmm?" I ask, looking up at his handsome face.

"I’ll kill that person. Simple" he says and I shake my head at him. "You can’t stop love, Kang Taesan-ssi" I say with a dreamy smile on my face.

"I can’t stop love but I can kill it with a loaded gun" he grumbles.

"Talking about killing someone on your wedding day isn’t allowed" Minjae says and I turn my attention to him as he joins us.

He’s radiant and holding baby Junny in a baby wrap.

"Seo-ya number one, you haven’t met Seo-ya number two today" he says and brings his son closer to us.

I can’t help the smile on my face as I look at the precious face of the little boy. He’s asleep with his hand tucked under his chin, and he’s so small.

"Is it really okay to bring him out here?" I whisper, staring at the baby with so much love in my eyes.

Oh, he makes me want to have my babies right now.

"Yeah yeah, I just won’t let anyone else hold him. Safety and all that" Minjae says with a big smile on his face. He coos as he drops his gaze to his son’s face.

The baby looks like Minjae created him all by himself, and I’m happy about that.

"That shit called Seungmin did nothing for us, right?" Minjae says and Taesan scoffs.

"Are you allowed to curse in front of a baby?" my husband asks and Minjae scoffs back at him.

"Are you allowed to interrupt me and my best friend?" he asks and I sigh tiredly.

Of course, they’ll have a verbal battle no matter where we are. I wonder if they’ll ever get along in the future. Maybe I can force them to have a joint babysitting one day.

’They’ll kill each other’ my omega says and I shake the image off.

Forcing them to babysit together would be a bad idea. A very very bad idea.

"Your baby is adorable" Taesan says kindly and Minjae smiles at him.

"Thank you..." Minjae says.

And just before I can sigh a breath of relief in gratitude for the sass-free response, Minjae smirks and opens his mouth again.

"You look homeless by the way" he says and Taesan looks at me for a solution.

Right.

I’m the middle man. I’m the husband. And I’m the man who gets to keep Kang Taesan.

"We’re about to leave" I announce and interlink my fingers with Taesan’s. The alpha looks down at our hands and he holds on to me like I’m all that he has.

"We can really go now?" he asks while looking at me those dark eyes that makes me feel giddy.

"Kang Taesan, I’d like to talk to you on behalf of my best friend" Minjae drops his voice and leans in to talk to Taesan privately.

Curiously, I also lean in to hear what he’s going to talk about.

"My friend was a good boy and a virgin before he met you" Minjae starts to talk and my jaw drops.

"Minjae..." I whine his name and he gives me a hush gesture.

"So, go easy on his ass. He’s still a virgin at heart" Minjae starts to cackle with enough volume to attract attention.

"Stop embarrassing me" I hiss and he keeps on laughing as Taesan hugs me from behind. The alpha makes our situation worse by cupping my stomach with those wide hands.

"If you had listened to me, I would have saved you from Minjae" my husband says and kisses my neck.

"Let’s go now" I say with embarrassment and he nods.

Taesan takes my hand and we say goodbye to our loved ones.

We kiss and hug Sooin before handing her over to her aunt Taerin. We get hugged by grandma and get warned not to turn the twins into triplets or sextuplets. Then we get to leave Hwangyeon with our ears full of teasings, and hearts full of family love.

"Are you okay?" Taesan asks as he kisses my temple in the car and I nod.

I can’t wait to finally settle in bed. My legs are aching from all the standing, walking, and occasional dancing.

Taesan makes sure I’m comfortable by resting my legs on his lap, and I shut my eyes when he starts to massage my calves one by one.

"You can rest, baby. I’ll wake you when we get there" he says and I nod, relaxing into the leather seat and letting myself fall asleep to the touch of my mate.

I can smell him. His pheromones, the blood on him, and the smoke on him.

I can smell it all, but I don’t ask questions. I just relax into his presence.
