Chapter 14: Chapter 14: Dine and Dash

After finishing dinner, the maids prepared a hot bath for Sui Sui, something he thoroughly enjoyed. After everything that had happened over the past two days, finally soaking in warm water made him feel as though all the fatigue in his body had melted away.

After his bath, Sui Sui changed into a loose set of night robes and dried his long white hair. Feeling refreshed, he walked toward his bed, ready to make up for the sleep he had lost the previous night.

However, the moment he lifted the bed curtain, he froze.

A figure was already sitting on the edge of his bed. One leg was casually crossed over the other, looking as though he had been waiting there for quite some time.

It was Yizhou.

"Junior Brother really took his time bathing himself." Yizhou looked at the freshly bathed Sui Sui with a faint smile before adding leisurely, "Were you preparing yourself for me to eat?"

Although his tone sounded teasing, Sui Sui didn’t find it funny at all. Instead, he felt a slight chill on his back . Although he knew Yizhou was only teasing him, from the way Yizhou was looking at him, it really did seem as though he was looking at a delicious meal.

Without thinking, Sui Sui subconsciously took a step backward. However, before he could retreat any further, Yizhou suddenly stood up and grabbed his wrist. The next moment, Sui Sui felt his vision blur. By the time he reacted, he had already been pulled into Yizhou’s arms and was sitting on the other’s lap.

"..."

Sui Sui couldn’t help but feel puzzled.

Wasn’t Yizhou a little too comfortable with physical contact?

This was completely different from the protagonist described in the novel.

In the book, Yizhou was someone who disliked physical contact with anyone, whether they were humans, beasts or demons. It wasn’t because he had an obsession with cleanliness. Rather, after his rebirth, he simply looked down on everyone equally. In his eyes, everyone was no different from ants beneath his feet. So unless it was to kill someone or absolutely necessary, he would never take the initiative to touch another person.

Even the women in his harem rarely had any intimate physical contact with him. So why was he being so touchy with him these past few days?

Could it really be because of his Extreme Yin Constitution?

What kind of Mary Sue setting was this?

Unlike the previous night, Yizhou didn’t immediately bite into Sui Sui’s neck.

Instead, he lowered his head and brought his face close to the crook of Sui Sui’s neck, his nose almost brushing against the pale skin as though he were carefully searching for something.

"What is that smell on you?" Yizhou asked, his brows knitting together slightly.

Growing self-conscious, Sui Sui instinctively tilted his neck away and raised a hand to cover the spot Yizhou had been staring at. "What smell?" Sui Sui asked, sounding confused. "I don’t smell anything. I just took a bath."

As he spoke, he secretly lowered his head and sniffed his own sleeve. There wasn’t any strange smell at all. Yizhou studied him for a moment but didn’t answer immediately.

At first, he had assumed the scent came from Sui Sui’s blood. However, after tasting it yesterday, he realized that although the blood was indeed delicious, it wasn’t the fragrance that had been unconsciously drawing his attention these past few days.

"Never mind," Yizhou said calmly. "I’ll find it out eventually ."

Before Sui Sui could react, Yizhou caught the hand covering his neck and pinned both of his wrists together with one hand.

Then, without another word, he lowered his head and bit into Sui Sui’s neck.

"Hss..." A sharp sting spread from the bite, causing Sui Sui to suck in a quiet breath. Although this was already the second time, he still couldn’t get used to the sensation of someone drinking his blood.

After taking several mouthfuls, Yizhou finally released him. Just like the night before, he lightly licked the bite marks before taking out a medicinal pill from his storage pouch and pressing it against Sui Sui’s lips.

"Eat." Sui Sui obediently swallowed it. Almost immediately, a cool sensation spread through his body. The wound on his neck healed at a speed visible to the naked eye until not even a scar remained.

No matter how many times he saw it, this world’s pills still amazed him.

Only then did Yizhou release the person in his arms and slowly stand up.

"Good." Yizhou straightened his sleeves as though nothing unusual had happened. "I’ll be leaving now." He glanced at Sui Sui before adding leisurely, "I’ll come back for tomorrow’s session. I hope that Junior Brother will prepare himself well." With that, he turned and stepped through the open window. His figure disappeared into the darkness in the blink of an eye.

Sui Sui stared blankly at the empty window for a long moment.

This man was acting more and more like a hooligan.

He came whenever he wanted, drank his blood, gave a few casual instructions, and left just as quickly.

Wasn’t this basically dine and dash?

The more Sui Sui thought about it, the more indignant he became.

Out of frustration, he walked over and slammed the window shut with a loud bang, no longer caring whether the noise disturbed anyone else in the mansion.
