Chapter 12: Chapter 12: The Reader Was Caught (Part 2)

Of course!

Why hadn’t he remembered it sooner?

The greatest treasure this body possessed wasn’t his identity or the Bai family’s wealth, but the body itself.

He had an Extreme Yin Constitution.

Of course, Sui Sui didn’t want to dual cultivate with the protagonist. However, he remembered that the novel had once mentioned that besides greatly assisting another cultivator through dual cultivation, the blood and flesh of someone with an Extreme Yin Constitution were also priceless cultivation treasures. Although the effects weren’t nearly as good as dual cultivation itself, they were still extremely valuable.

If he just left out a few details when explaining...

Perhaps he could first persuade the protagonist to spare his life by offering some of his blood?

Yizhou looked at the white-haired young man standing before him, whose expression kept changing one moment after another.

It was really interesting.

The little fool was clearly terrified out of his wits, yet he still had the time to lose himself in his own thoughts.

He couldn’t understand what was going on inside that little fool’s head. Despite being scared half to death, he still insisted on acting lovesick, desperately trying to convince him of his sincerity. When that failed, he even offered up his own body as a last resort.

...He had to admit, he was tempted.

There was something about this little fool—something about his body—that he found strangely alluring. An inexplicable attraction lingered around him, awakening a hunger he had never felt before. The closer he stood, the stronger that hunger became, quietly eroding the last remnants of his restraint.

"You might not know this, but my body is actually very special, especially my blood. It can help improve your cultivation. If you don’t believe me, you can try it," Sui Sui hurriedly said, looking at Yizhou.

Yizhou merely curved his lips into a faint smile, neither agreeing nor disagreeing. His gaze remained fixed on Sui Sui, dark and unreadable, as though weighing the sincerity of those words—or perhaps struggling against the growing urge within himself.

Mistaking his silence for disbelief, Sui Sui opened his mouth, intending to persuade him further.

Before he could utter another word, the figure standing before him suddenly vanished.

Sui Sui froze in place.

Before he could react, a pair of strong hands suddenly wrapped around his waist from behind, firmly holding him in place. Almost at the same time, a warm breath brushed against the side of his neck.

The next second, a sharp pain shot through his neck.

It was Yizhou.

Without a word of warning, he sank his teeth into Sui Sui’s neck and began drinking his blood.

Sui Sui’s body gradually weakened. He could only stand there helplessly as the other man drank from him, not daring to struggle in the slightest, afraid that even the smallest movement would provoke Yizhou further.

After a while, perhaps sensing that the person in his arms was beginning to weaken, Yizhou finally stopped. He slowly licked away the remaining blood from the wound on the slender youth’s neck, seemingly unwilling to waste even a single drop.

Yizhou licked his lips before looking at Sui Sui again, a trace of satisfaction flashing across his eyes.

"I really didn’t expect your blood to be exactly as you said," he remarked with a smile. "It’s quite delicious. The taste isn’t bad at all."

He paused for a moment before continuing,

"Congratulations."

"I’ve decided not to kill you... for the time being."

Hearing those words, Sui Sui’s heart immediately tightened.

"’F-For the time being?’ Uh... n-no, I mean..." He looked at Yizhou nervously, hardly daring to believe what he had just heard. "Really?"

"I can spare your life," Yizhou said calmly. "However, from today onward, you must offer me three mouthfuls of your blood every day."

"Three mouthfuls... every day?" Sui Sui stammered weakly.

He was completely dumbfounded by the amount.

He was just a mortal, on top of that, he was born with congenital heart disease. Losing three mouthfuls of blood every single day was no different from a slow and painful death.

"What’s the matter?" Yizhou raised an eyebrow. "You want to refuse?"

As soon as those words fell, an invisible pressure descended upon Sui Sui. It felt as though a sharp blade had been placed between his brows, making it difficult for him to even breathe.

Sui Sui hurriedly shook his head.

After struggling so hard just to survive, how could he possibly refuse now?

"Senior Brother..." Sui Sui said cautiously. "Could you maybe lower the amount of blood you take every day? As you know, I’m not in very good health. If I lose that much blood every day, I don’t think my body will be able to handle it."

Yizhou silently stared at him.

The little bunny was clearly frightened, yet he still dared to bargain with him.

However, according to Yizhou’s memories, what Bai Sui Sui said was indeed true. His body had always been frail since childhood, so Yizhou knew that he wasn’t trying to deceive him.

"One and half a mouthful," Yizhou finally replied. "No less."

He paused briefly before adding in an indifferent tone "Of course, if you’re unwilling, I don’t mind turning you into a corpse this very moment."

Sui Sui didn’t dare protest. No matter how unfair the conditions were, they still couldn’t compare to his measly life. In the end, he could only nod in agreement.

Just as he quietly let out a sigh of relief, Yizhou’s indifferent voice sounded above his head once more.

"But to ensure that you won’t betray me..." Yizhou said as he took out a small blue jade bottle, "...I’ll have to trouble you to willingly put this into your body."

Inside the jade bottle, a plump Gu worm slowly wriggled.

The moment Sui Sui saw it, he instinctively wanted to shrink back.

Unfortunately, the two of them were still standing extremely close to each other, leaving him nowhere to retreat.

"Perfect timing." Yizhou lightly shook the jade bottle in his hand. "I was just looking for someone to test a few techniques on."

His gaze landed on Sui Sui.

"You’ll do it for me right my junior brother?"

What the hell?
