It was like as soon as Cass finalised the last letter, all restraints he’d put in place dissolved. It wasn’t a snap on his control like before, but they simply began to disintegrate.

Cass’ mind slowly clouded, but his ability to think remained. The desire he’d repressed slowly began to grow, his body warming, his cheeks flushing, and he rubbed his face against Lucian’s side. He wasn’t careful with his horns, but Lucian didn’t seem to mind. Cass wasn’t goring him or anything that dangerous, just nicking his clothes and tearing them with the solid points of his horns.

"These horns are rather cute." Lucian murmured, his hand slipping into Cass’ hair and Cass melted. His big hand ruffled his hair, his fingers bringing pleasure just with a simple touch. When his hand slid down until it grabbed Cass’ throat from either side, Cass let out a breathy moan that had Lucian purring.

"They’re small." Cass countered. Lucian let out a hum.

"Well, very few creatures can have horns as big as mine, Cass. Dragons are not remotely similar to demons." Lucian pointed out. Cass let out a sigh. "Besides, not all demons are the same. You wouldn’t say that Edgar’s fangs are smaller than mine, would you?" Lucian asked.

Cass, his body craving Lucian’s touch, let out a soft moan. He had to bring up Edgar’s fangs, didn’t he? Cass’ brain filled with the thought of them. God, they always felt so fucking good sinking into his body, and when he sucked?

Cass squeezed his thighs together, so damn wet he was worried he’d leave a mark on the chair.

"I haven’t seen both of them at the same time." Cass said. "So, I can’t compare. Speaking of..." Cass trailed off, raising his head slowly and blinking big, heart-shaped eyes at Lucian. Lucian gulped. "We haven’t been able to compare our horns either." Cass raised a shaking hand, gripping onto Lucian’s clothes as he licked his lips. "Can we do that?" He asked.

Lucian’s face flushed as he narrowed his gaze. A low, dangerous growl left his lips but Cass didn’t hear a no.

"Sweetness. Having your heat mix with my half shift isn’t a smart idea. Especially if you are wanting to not get pregnant or complete our bond." Lucian warned. Cass pouted slowly, watching as Lucian’s chest rose quickly in a fast huff, before he seemed to hold his breath.

"Why not? You said we’d go for some horn fun or whatever before my heat and then we weren’t able to do it. Did you order all of those bedframes for show?" Cass asked.

He knew he was poking the, er, dragon. He watched it, felt it as the air grew thick with magic and Lucian’s body rippled.

"Lucy." It was Gideon. He called his name softly and Lucian’s nostrils flared, he closed his eyes, and took a deep, calming breath.

"Thank you, Gideon." Lucian growled. "I almost gave in." Cass pouted.

"Why not? I’m not asking for much." Cass whined. Lucian, his hand still on the back of Cass’ neck, growled.

"No, you are being a bad boy. You are asking for a lot, and you know that, don’t you, Cass Baby?" Cass blinked as Lucian’s grip tightened on the back of Cass’ neck. It was a warning grip, but instead of being scared, Cass shivered in delight. Lucian chuckled. "What a bad fairy we have here. You are asking to be punished. This is the most aware heat you’ve had thus far, and you think I wouldn’t be aware?" Lucian bent, forcing Cass to look into his face as he got on his knees before him. "You forget, my love, that I was there for the first one. I know your tells, Cass, so I know you’re here with us."

Cass paled. His lips moved, ready to make an excuse until Lucian leaned in and kissed him. It was a hard kiss, a mashing of lips and teeth and when Lucian pulled back, Cass’ chest was heaving. Lucian licked his lips.

"Be good, sweetness. We’re trying to get you through this safely, and I want you to make it out of here in one piece. Do you want to have to take the tonic or not?" It was a valid warning, one that had some sense coming to Cass’ heat-addled mind.

Cass gulped air into his lungs, trying to gather himself again and Lucian watched, smiling softly.

"I-I apologise." Cass whispered. "I should save those thoughts for when I’m not in heat." Cass didn’t apologise for the thoughts themselves. He did want to compare, did want to find out the truth. However, Lucian was right. He remembered them saying he gave off a scent now, and his eyes were hypnotic, his body was to die for, and they were having a hard time as it was resisting him.

He was ashamed about how he’d almost forced them into doing something they didn’t want to.

"It’s alright, Cass. No harm done. We have Gideon and Edgar here to help." Lucian reminded him and Cass sighed. That was the good thing of having so many people involved in this. In his heat. They could help manage him when he was at his worst.

He wasn’t, clearly, not yet at least, but Lucian was right to warn him and remind him.

Cass, still feeling emotional, raised his eyes to Lucian. Lucian stared at him, his eyes focused on Cass.

"Can we compare them later?" Cass asked and watched as Lucian shivered, a bright red flush crossing his cheeks. He raised a hand and covered the bottom half of his face, chuckling in sheer delight.

"By the gods, Cass, give me a small break. Comparing our horns is...it means something dangerous in dragon culture." Lucian told him softly. "I’m sure you can understand what that means, given the situation." Lucian said.

Comparing horns? What could-Cass’ face warmed. It was definitely something sexual. Given how much Lucian had implied that he liked the idea, Cass could only assume it was along the lines of penetration or something similar.

Cass flushed.

"I, um, I don’t know if I can respond to that reasonably right now." Cass admitted. Lucian let out a soft laugh. His fingers pressed against Cass’ neck stroked the skin there, sweet and tempting and Cass shivered.

"That’s fine, sweetness. Just warning you about the things you say that can rile me up. Of course, you are free to use them when you aren’t in heat." Lucian purred, then raised his eyes to the others. "You as well can use them, though I am uncertain what we could compare that would be close to horns, Gideon." Lucian said.

Cass slowly turned his head to look towards the others. He wasn’t even aware that the room had been cleared completely, too lost in Lucian’s words and touch to notice. He was aware and awake, but his spatial awareness was still quite low.

Edgar was standing near his desk, closer to the door, while Gideon was by the door, confirming that it was locked. Gideon gave a soft chuckle, a smile touching his lips.

"We could compare our muscles? I already know compared to you that I am lacking, but there are other things we could consider." Gideon suggested.

"Technique?" Edgar added, his brows furrowed in thought. Lucian let out a soft laugh.

"That’s an even less fair comparison, Eddie. He’s only just recently started making love, and it wouldn’t be a fair fight. Maybe in a few months? A year? You’ll just have to wait, Giddy. My apologies." He did sound quite apologetic, while Gideon just seemed pleased to be included.

"I can wait. The only thing I am certain very few others could hold a candle to when compared to me is my patience." Gideon said proudly. Edgar snorted, rolling his eyes before he turned his bright blue gaze towards Cass.

"I heard you talking about fangs, Cass. Are you that eager to have them around?" He was clearly trying to tease Cass, but there was very little need to do so. Cass was already primed and ready.

"Yes." Cass admitted easily, with no shame. He did want to see them, touch them, feel them in his skin. "I want to feel them while I’m fucking you. I want to fill you while you take your fill from me." Cass told him seriously, even as his face warmed. Lucian let out a delighted laugh, while Edgar’s jaw dropped before he covered his face. He was going bright red, and Gideon’s face wasn’t much better.

"Yup. He’s gone." Lucian said, his hand stroking Cass’ nape. "Come, sweetness. Let’s get you rinsed and ready. Are you excited for tonight? We might be able to get you fully transformed by tomorrow if we try hard enough." Lucian teased, while Cass gave him a bright, ecstatic smile.

"Really?" Cass asked sincerely. Lucian paused. Gideon let out a sigh, then Lucian, and then Edgar.

"Oh dear." Gideon muttered, causing Cass to look over at him. "You’ve made a dangerous promise, Lucy." Gideon said. Lucian let out a dark growl.

"I realised it as soon as I saw his face. Damn it all. Alright, let’s get this heat started. You’re not walking anywhere, my lovely bondmate. Your feet will not be touching the ground unless for something naughty." Lucian warned. Cass blinked slowly.

"What kind of naughty?" Cass asked, licking his lips. "Blow job stuff?" Cass asked. "Because I can do that lying down." Cass offered, as if that would make things easier. Edgar laughed, and as Cass looked over at him to ask him why he was laughing, Lucian scooped him up into his arms.

"I’m grateful that you are aware and voicing your own opinions, but I’m going to need to do something about that pretty mouth of yours soon." Lucian growled. "Eddie, it’s your turn to distract him while I’m getting the tub ready." Lucian ordered and Eddie gave Cass a warm, dangerous grin of his own as they passed him. He fell into step with them, smiling at Cass and brushing his hair out of his face as Lucian walked.

"No problem there, Lucy. Isn’t that right, Cass? You like it when I occupy your mouth, don’t you?" Cass stared at the handsome man while cradled against Lucian’s chest and his mouth wouldn’t work. He just nodded, making the man even prettier as he smiled.

"I’ll get the bed ready." Gideon said. "Then I’ll join you."

"Perfect. We all have our roles. Cass, yours is to be seductive." Cass turned to look up at Lucian, his eyes wide, his lips parted slightly. Lucian growled. "You’re too good at your job."
