Chapter 186: 186: A VISIT

The two of them stared at him in disbelief.

"How... What are you talking about?" June asked, surprised, while Ryan casually smiled it off.

"You don’t have to hide it. I’m not that dumb... I can tell the two of you are already official." He smiled as the two of them stared at each other and then back at Ryan in surprise.

"Huh? How did you know...?" June asked curiously. "Did you read through our energies again?!"

Ryan laughed and shook his head. "What? It doesn’t work like that. I mean, the two of you were low-key lovey-dovey and so touchy here that it was a bit too obvious."

June and Nyx stared at each other, surprised. They had thought they were doing a good job hiding it, but apparently, it had already been obvious.

Nyx couldn’t stop himself from subconsciously patting June on the hair and gently brushing his hand through it. Apparently, even that had been enough to give them away.

Nyx bit his lower lip. "Sorry..."

June smiled and shook his head. "The fujoshi Ryan was bound to know, even if we weren’t obvious." He shook his head at Ryan.

Ryan smiled. "I’m glad you know." He laughed with the two of them before asking, "So, tell me in detail... how did it happen?"

But June brushed it off. "I’m too lazy to talk."

"Hey, you have to tell me everything. I’m curious!" Ryan snapped.

June only smiled. "Maybe you should get together with Kael to answer your questions." He teased him.

"Shut up," Ryan snapped, making June laugh even more.

And so, the three of them stayed in the room, having random discussions about how June and Nyx got together, as well as Ryan’s dynamic with Kael.

It was a fun chat between them, and Ryan enjoyed it even more knowing that he no longer had any secrets to hide from his friend.

June was his first close friend, and the two of them had gotten this close. It was the first time Ryan had brought a friend home to his room for such a personal and relaxed chat, and he enjoyed the feeling of having someone he could genuinely call a friend.

---

Days later, June returned to the academy.

Back at the academy, things had begun to change following the Mr Kevin incident. Some authorities and positions had been significantly changed, while several promotions were also being made.

And part of those promotions involved June and his friends.

As part of their reward from the government, they were given the opportunity to pick a Guild to join while they were still in their first year.

With their first year slowly coming to an end, they were being given the second-year right to join a Guild for their practical training.

Normally, second- and third-year students joined different Guilds and institutions as a form of practice for what they had been taught. It allowed them to experience real-life situations and gain actual experience.

It was reserved for those two levels.

But given June and his friends’ significant contribution and showcase of power, the government made an exception for them. It was clear that the government now held them in high regard.

The five of them were given the chance to join a Guild this early, before the other students who would be joining a few months later.

June and the rest were summoned to the principal’s office, where they were presented with the news. They were given a couple of days to make a choice about where they would be joining and submit their decision.

And so, they returned to their thoughts about it.

But June and Nyx had pretty much already decided where they wanted to go. They had promised to join the place, no matter what.

---

On Saturday, June was headed somewhere with Nyx following him. Ryan and Simon had decided to join them as well. They didn’t know where June was heading, but they figured they wanted to be a part of it since they had nothing else to do that weekend.

And so, they all got into June’s car as Raymond drove them off to their destination.

---

The car pulled over right in front of a shop—a flower shop where coffee was also sold.

As they got down, the four of them stood there, staring up at the flower and coffee shop before them. It was beautifully decorated, and they could tell it had only recently opened.

"What are we doing here, though...?" Ryan asked, folding his arms. "Were you craving coffee that much that we had to drive all the way down here?"

June smiled with his arms folded. "You can’t complain because you were the one who insisted on coming with me. I never forced you."

Ryan sighed and nodded. "Sure, sure. I agree."

June smiled as he led the way, and they followed behind.

They made their way into the flowery shop, where different fragrant flowers sat in various positions around the tables. People were already seated alone or in pairs, enjoying coffee while the gentle fragrance of flowers soothed the atmosphere.

The place was calm and quiet, and the gentle sound of piano music playing throughout the shop added an extra touch of serenity to the space.

"So beautiful..." Ryan smiled. "It must be new."

June nodded. "It sure is."

He moved his head around the place as though he was looking for someone.

After a while, he found the person he was looking for.

A smile brushed across June’s expression as he stood watching Mr Yen serve coffee to a couple sitting in the corner.

Ryan stared in surprise. "Is that... Mr Yen?" He tilted his head.

"Mmm." June nodded. "That’s him."

"But what’s he doing here...?" Simon was rather confused. "And are we here for him?"

June smiled as he folded his arms. "Well, sorta?" He shrugged.

Just then, Ken also walked out with some coffee orders, which he delivered to someone already seated and waiting.

Ryan and Simon stood there, staring in surprise.

"Him too..." Ryan blinked.

After delivering the orders, Ken looked up and met their gaze.
