Chapter 180: 180: HIDE, NOW.

June lay in Nyx’s arms in bed, the two of them warmly wrapped in each other’s embrace as they enjoyed the peaceful sleep beneath the sheets.

They slept so soundly that it was difficult for them to hear the knocking at the door that morning.

Someone was knocking continuously at June’s door. It took a while before June slowly opened his eyes and faintly heard the sound. He groaned as he shifted around in bed, instinctively crawling deeper into Nyx’s arms.

"Who the hell is that now...?" he muttered, turning as he slowly opened his eyes.

The knock came again, followed by a voice. Someone was standing outside and knocking persistently.

"Hey! Junie! Open up! Junie!"

He heard an unfamiliar female voice calling from outside while she continued knocking.

"Who is that...? Why can’t they just leave...?" he muttered between groans. He didn’t recognize the voice, so he wondered what the person could possibly want.

It was a female voice, but it sounded far too young to belong to his mother. They didn’t necessarily have any other women around, so who could it be?

But after a while, June suddenly froze.

His eyes snapped wide open in pure panic.

"What?!"

He instantly sat up in bed, his eyes darting around as realization struck him.

"Lune?!" he whispered beneath his breath.

Nyx slowly sat up beside him, rubbing his eyes.

"What’s it...?" Nyx stared at him sleepily.

"Hey! June! I heard your voice, and I know that you’re in there! Come out now and meet big sister! Big sister has missed you so much!"

"Come out! I have a lot to say to my little baby!"

June instantly panicked at the voice again. It wasn’t because it was a sister he didn’t know, but because he was in a situation that he certainly didn’t want her to see him in.

"Who’s that...?" Nyx asked, trying to understand what was happening.

But June turned to him and immediately said, "You need to hide. Now."

Nyx was confused. "Huh?"

"It’s my sister. We need to hide right now. She can’t see us like this," June insisted.

"Who will open the door then?" Nyx asked.

"I mean, you need to hide."

"Oh, okay. I will..." Before Nyx could finish his sentence, June jumped out of bed and grabbed him by the hand, pulling him off the bed.

"Ah... Let me cover up at least..."

June paused.

"Oh, yeah."

He suddenly realized that he needed to cover up too. He quickly grabbed his boxers and put them on. Nyx did the same as June pulled him around by the hand, both of them panicking as they desperately searched for somewhere to hide.

Lune was still knocking and speaking excitedly without giving up while June and Nyx rushed around the room.

"Under here..." June said, pointing beneath the bed.

He quickly pushed Nyx under it. Nyx jumped in to hide, but June immediately paused as he stared down at him.

"She might see you there easily..." June tilted his head. "And it doesn’t look too comfortable for you."

He instantly pulled Nyx back out from under the bed.

Nyx followed without a word, and they continued their frantic search around the room.

They eventually reached the window, and Nyx reached out toward it.

"Maybe I should..."

"No!" June snapped immediately in panic, pulling Nyx back. "We stay upstairs. Do you have a death wish?"

"..."

Nyx was speechless.

"Oh, yeah. Forgot that for a second."

June continued to panic as he looked around the room. His eyes landed on the closest wardrobe, and he instantly rushed toward the massive wardrobe filled with his limited-edition jewelry.

He pulled it open.

June paused.

"These are too precious..." he muttered to himself, momentarily considering whether this was really a good idea.

But Lune knocked again.

"If you won’t open it for me, then maybe I’ll have to break in!"

June bit his lower lip.

"Was she a serial killer in her past life or something?" he panicked.

He grabbed Nyx and quickly pushed him into the wardrobe.

"Stay in there quietly, and just don’t do or touch anything, okay?"

Nyx nodded.

June closed the wardrobe door and turned toward the bedroom door. He wanted to go and open it immediately, but then he remembered that he was only wearing his boxers.

"That won’t work."

He turned around and spotted a robe nearby. He quickly wrapped himself in it before making his way toward the door.

June paused, inhaled, and exhaled, forcing himself to calm down before unlocking and pulling open the door.

Standing before him was a young lady.

Lune, his elder sister, had been abroad. She loved her younger brother dearly, even though his two brothers found his character insufferable and devilish.

She was the elder sister who adored him nevertheless.

And June figured she had returned specifically to pay him a visit after everything that had happened.

The moment she saw June, Lune instantly flashed a bright smile.

"Oh, my dear little one!" she exclaimed happily as she wrapped her arms around June and pulled him into a firm hug.

The hug was so tight that June found it difficult to breathe. Trapped in her embrace, he struggled for air until he finally tapped her for freedom.

"Killing is illegal... Let me go..."

Lune smiled happily as she pulled back and stared at him. She ran her hands over his cheeks, admiring his face.

"I haven’t seen this angelic face in ages! I missed it so much! My little baby!"

She smiled and kissed him on the cheeks and then on the nose.

June squeezed his face while pulling backward. "Ah, I’m not a kid anymore..."

"You’re still my baby," Lune insisted.

June stared at her. "Can’t you see I’m busy? Why were you persistently knocking and calling as if I was going to disappear in a few minutes or something?"

Lune raised an eyebrow with a teasing smile.

"Busy with what? It’s not like you brought some man back home to warm the bed, huh?"

But almost immediately, a sound came from inside.

A loud sound.

Lune and June both froze.

They stared at each other and blinked before slowly turning their attention toward the inside of the room.
