Chapter 89: Chapter 89: The First Man Who Made Me Feel
~Frederick’s POV~
"Mr. Corvin, will I ever see you again? I really enjoyed what we shared..." Alice’s voice was soft, a hint of hope lingering in her words.
I didn’t look at her as I buttoned up my shirt. "Please, use the door, Alice. I told you from the beginning that I don’t sleep with the same person twice. This was a one-time thing, and I won’t be staying in this country. I hope we’re clear on that."
She pulled her coat around her shoulders, managing a faint smile despite the disappointment in her eyes. "Alright. If I ever got another chance to spend time with you, even if it were only for a few seconds, I’d gladly take it."
I glanced at her and gestured toward the door.
"Alright. Goodbye, Mr. Corvin," she whispered.
A moment later, the door clicked shut behind her.
Silence settled over the suite. I sat on the edge of the bed, running a hand over my face before reaching for my phone to call one of my men. I needed him to arrange for another woman to accompany me on the private jet.
I ended the call and dropped my phone onto the mattress, staring blankly ahead.
Even before you knocked on my hotel room door that night, my life had felt like an endless, monotonous cycle. Ever since I promised myself I would never sleep with Eva again, I’d been searching for someone who could genuinely hold my interest.
It wasn’t as though I’d stopped sleeping with women, far from it. Another woman had left my suite shortly before you arrived that night, and I’d already instructed my men to arrange for someone else to accompany me on the flight home.
For years, I’d never slept with the same woman twice. Even when I tried to give someone another chance, I couldn’t bring myself to do it. My heart had been broken too deeply, leaving me guarded and afraid of being used again.
I had been on countless dates, but none of those women ever stayed in my life for long. Whenever I tried to open myself up to someone, the few women who managed to catch my interest eventually showed me that they were more interested in what I could give them than in who I was. I didn’t mind giving. What I couldn’t stand was feeling as though someone was only keeping me around for what they could get out of me.
Reynold lifted his head from my chest and looked up at me, breaking the quiet between us.
"So, even after Eva left, you two still met up and slept together?"
I let out a dry, humorless laugh. "Yes, Reynold. I loved her deeply, and for a long time, I still considered her my partner, even though she never truly cared about me."
"When did you stop sleeping with her?" he asked, holding my gaze.
"I stopped sleeping with her a couple of years ago," I answered quietly. "I found out she was sleeping with someone else, and whatever I felt for her died that day. But she’s still the mother of my child, so I’ve never completely cut her out of my life."
Reynold lifted his head slightly, studying my face. "So, you really never slept with a man before me?"
A faint smile touched my lips. "I’ve tried, but I could never bring myself to go that far. I’ve had a few men around for oral, though, I won’t lie. They were exceptionally good at it. But I’ve never penetrated a man."
Reynold raised an eyebrow. "Okay, but how do I know you’ve never been with a man? Maybe you’ve never been the one penetrating, but another man could have done it to you. It’s hard to believe I’m the first man you’ve ever been with."
I smiled and gently tapped his forehead. "No one has ever penetrated me. And as for penetrating someone else, I’ve never done that with anyone except you. Now, listen."
Reynold sat upright on the bed and turned to face me. He crossed his arms, fixing his gaze on mine.
"Alright. I’m listening."
I let out a slow breath, my mind drifting back to that night.
"When you knocked on the door and I opened it, I thought it was one of my men. But when I saw you standing there, desperate and asking for help... I’ll be honest, Reynold. I really didn’t want to let you in."
I paused, watching his expression change. "I wanted to slam the door in your face. But then I saw your tears. Something about you got to me in a way I couldn’t explain, so I gave in and let you inside."
"You couldn’t see clearly," I continued, a faint smirk touching my lips. "You reached out, trying to grab my hand... but instead, your fingers wrapped around my cock. My body reacted immediately. At the time, I told myself it was natural; that place is sensitive, after all."
I shook my head at the memory. "I quickly pulled your hand away, helped you settle down, and tried to give you some water. But you refused to drink it. You kept muttering, ’No, I don’t want water.’"
"Your voice sounded so innocent back then. It completely threw me off."
Reynold raised an eyebrow, a hint of defiance in his voice. "I’m still innocent."
I chuckled. "Not anymore."
I shifted closer to him. "You wanted to kiss me that night, too, but I stopped you. I had to draw the line."
"Then the doctor came to check on you. By the time he left, you were sweating and burning up. I stood there looking at you, knowing I was getting close to crossing a line I couldn’t take back. But I was already struggling to control myself."
"Things only got worse once we boarded the plane. I watched you sleeping, and the thoughts running through my head were completely unhinged."
I shook my head with a quiet laugh. "You were so distracting that I ended up paying off the woman my men had arranged for the flight before we even left the hotel. I sent her away because I no longer wanted her."
"When you finally woke up on that jet, you stared at me for several minutes, looking completely blank as you slowly came to your senses. But the way you looked at me... it was as if you were staring straight into my soul."
I let out a breath. "Damn, I couldn’t take it anymore. You were—and still are—fucking damn attractive."
I let out a breath, the memory still hitting me with full force.
"After we finished eating on the plane, I got up and went straight to my private cabin. I thought I could sleep it off and get those thoughts out of my head. I tried to forget about it, but I couldn’t. In the end, I gave in and had my men bring you to my room."
I looked straight into your eyes. "When you walked in and I told you what I wanted, I honestly expected you to reject me. I thought you’d look at me like I was crazy and walk right out."
"But you agreed. Even then, I told myself I wouldn’t go through with it. I thought I’d stop halfway, once my curiosity was satisfied. Especially after you told me you were nineteen, I was sure I wouldn’t be able to do it. I knew you were legally an adult, but I still had my doubts. I kept telling myself I would stop, but in the end, everything happened anyway."
"Before I slept with you, I didn’t care about what had happened between you and your family. I didn’t care about your past or what you’d been through."
I reached out and gently brushed my fingers along his jaw.
"But after I slept with you and still found myself wanting more, everything changed. That was when I realized I was genuinely interested in you. And before I knew it, I wanted more than just what we’d shared that night."
My fingers lingered on his jaw for a moment before I let my hand fall away. I kept my eyes on his.
"After we landed and you tried to leave, I stopped you and told you I was interested in you. But, Reynold, you can be so damn dense sometimes. You never seem to understand the simplest things unless someone spells them out for you."
I chuckled, remembering how clueless he had been.
"Later, when we arrived at the restaurant and you finished eating, the way you bowed your head gave you away. I knew you were planning to run. And sure enough, my men followed you and confirmed that you’d bolted."
I leaned back slightly, watching his expression soften.
"That was when I realized you were different, Reynold. Anyone else in your position, with nowhere to turn and desperately needing help, would have seen me as an opportunity. They would have tried to get whatever they could from me, knowing how much I had to offer."
"But you didn’t. You walked away without asking me for a single thing. You didn’t try to use my money or my influence to make your life easier. You simply wanted to keep me out of your affairs, even when you could have benefited from having me in your life."
"When my men returned and told me you’d left, they asked if I wanted them to go after you. I told them to leave you alone. At the time, I thought I’d get over you if I just let you go. I told myself it was nothing more than a passing attraction, something that would fade with time."
Reynold listened attentively as I explained the truth he had never known before.
"When I got home and lay in bed, I tried everything to stop thinking about you. But I couldn’t get the memories of what we’d shared out of my head, especially the sounds you made that night. I couldn’t stop thinking about the fact that I had been your first, the one who took your virginity."
I drew a slow breath before continuing.
"Or maybe it was simply because you were the first man I’d ever been with. I tried to convince myself that was why I couldn’t stop thinking about you, and that you were just too young to have such an effect on me. But no matter how much I tried to dismiss my feelings, I couldn’t find peace of mind. I needed to know more about you, so I called my men and asked them to find out everything they could about your life."
"And then Lily called me that day."
A faint smile tugged at my lips as I remembered it. "She could tell something was wrong just from the sound of my voice. At first, I tried to brush it off because I honestly had no idea how any of this would turn out. But eventually, I told her, ’I think I’ve found someone. Someone interesting."
"She asked who she was...
