Chapter 113: Chapter 113: Wherever You Go, I’ll Follow
~Third- POV~
When he opened his dark eyes, the hesitation that had troubled him was gone, replaced by cold determination.
"I understand," Frederick said quietly, his voice steady and resolute. "I’ve heard you both. I’m going to address this publicly. I need a little time to prepare everything properly, but I will speak out about Eva."
Damian and Elias exchanged a relieved look before nodding. At last, their friend was ready to face the situation head-on and stop protecting Eva at the expense of his own happiness.
The three men continued their conversation, sipping their drinks as they discussed other matters. However, part of Frederick’s mind remained occupied with everything he needed to do. He had agreed to speak publicly about Eva, but he still needed time to decide how best to handle the situation. For now, he wanted to think things through carefully before making any arrangements.
I’ve really tried, Frederick thought, staring into the whiskey in his glass. Most men in my position wouldn’t have tolerated even a fraction of what I’ve put up with from Eva over the years. I just hope that when the truth comes out, people will understand why I’ve finally decided to speak up instead of blaming me for everything.
After a moment, Frederick let out a quiet breath and pushed those thoughts aside for the night. He turned his attention back to his friends, enjoying the rare opportunity to spend time with them.
As the evening wore on, Damian and Elias glanced at their wristwatches and realized how late it had become. They finally decided it was time to head home.
Both men rose from the leather sofa and adjusted their suit jackets. The atmosphere in the grand living room felt lighter now that they had finally said what needed to be said.
Damian walked over and rested a hand on Frederick’s broad shoulder. "We’re heading out now, Frederick. It’s getting late."
"Thank you both," Frederick said, rising from his seat to clasp hands firmly with each of his friends. "I appreciate you coming over
"That’s what friends are for," Elias replied with a warm nod. "We’ll talk again soon."
Frederick walked Damian and Elias to the main entrance, where the guards opened the heavy double doors. After exchanging their final goodbyes, Damian and Elias stepped outside and headed toward their waiting vehicles. Their engines started with a soft rumble, and soon the taillights disappeared down the tree-lined driveway into the quiet night.
Once they had left, Frederick returned inside and climbed the grand marble staircase, heading straight for the master suite.
When Frederick reached the bedroom door, he opened it and stepped inside. He walked farther into the spacious loft, where the bedroom was softly illuminated by the warm glow of the bedside lamps. Reynold was curled up comfortably beneath the plush duvet, wearing one of Frederick’s crisp dress shirts, which hung loosely on his slender frame.
Hearing the bedroom door close behind him, Reynold looked up from his phone. The moment he spotted Frederick approaching the bed, his eyes lit up with joy.
"Daddy..." he murmured, setting his phone on the nightstand. "You’re back."
Frederick smiled, warmth spreading through his chest. "Yes, baby. I’m back."
He climbed onto the bed beside Reynold and slipped beneath the covers, gathering him into his arms. Reynold let out a contented sigh and immediately rested his head against Frederick’s chest.
"Is everything okay with your friends?" Reynold asked softly, looking up at him.
"Yes, sweetheart. Everything is fine," Frederick replied, running a hand through Reynold’s soft hair. His gaze then shifted to the phone on the nightstand. "What were you doing before I came in?"
Reynold smiled shyly, his cheeks turning faintly pink. "I was just going through my social media, and I realized I have so many more followers now. I barely had any before, but my account is growing so fast. How did that even happen?"
Frederick chuckled, the sound rumbling softly in his chest. "I’m sure it has something to do with everything going on in the media lately. It looks like my baby is becoming a celebrity."
Reynold giggled and shook his head. "What celebrity? They’re just followers."
Frederick looked down at him, a thoughtful gleam in his eyes. "Why not take advantage of this opportunity and make something good out of it?"
Reynold blinked in confusion. "How, Daddy?"
"There are several ways," Frederick explained, gently stroking Reynold’s waist. "You could become an influencer. Not just any influencer, though. I’m talking about working with high-end luxury brands. Since you’re still a student, you could arrange the work around your studies."
"How does that work?" Reynold asked, leaning closer with genuine curiosity. "What would I have to do?"
Frederick brushed his thumb over Reynold’s cheek, his expression growing more serious.
"Before I explain, I need to know something. Are you ready to become a public figure and have people paying attention to you?"
Reynold thought about it for a moment before answering. "Yes, Daddy... but will it affect my studies or take time away from you?"
"Not really," Frederick reassured him. "I’ll hire a dedicated manager and a personal assistant to handle everything for you. You’ll only need to create content and attend to any work during your free time. Nothing will interfere with your studies or the time we spend together."
Reynold’s eyes brightened. "That sounds interesting... but who am I going to influence? How does it even work?"
"Once you’re ready, just tell me, and I’ll arrange professional guidance to help you get started," Frederick replied softly.
"I’m ready," Reynold said immediately, looking up at him eagerly. "So, how do I start?"
"For now, you can start by posting more often and creating content consistently."
"What kind of content?" Reynold asked, tilting his head.
"You could focus on a particular niche, such as luxury lifestyle content," Frederick suggested with a faint smirk.
Reynold frowned slightly and looked down at his hands. "But... I’m not rich yet."
Frederick reached out and gently tapped Reynold’s forehead with his index finger. "Don’t ever say that again when you have me, okay? You don’t have to worry about being rich when you’re with me."
Reynold nodded, still looking uncertain. "I’m just... confused about what I’m supposed to post."
Frederick smiled and brushed his thumb over Reynold’s cheek. "You can start by sharing little things from your daily life. Maybe a picture of something I bought for you, an outfit you like, or a place we visit together. You can add a simple caption about it. You don’t have to force anything, sweetheart. Just share what you’re comfortable with, and let your page grow naturally."
Reynold’s cheeks turned red. He hid his face against Frederick’s neck, letting out a small, embarrassed whine.
"But won’t people think I’m showing off? What if they start hating me for it?"
Frederick chuckled softly and kissed the top of his head. "Some people might, sweetheart, but you can’t please everyone. Just be yourself and share what you’re comfortable with. You don’t have to pay attention to every negative comment."
Reynold sighed and tightened his arms around Frederick, looking completely overwhelmed.
"Daddy, I still don’t understand how any of this works..."
Frederick tightened his arms around Reynold’s waist. "It’s okay, sweetheart. I know you’re still new to all this. I’ll hire a professional media coach to guide you through everything, step by step. We can arrange it after we return from our trip."
Reynold immediately lifted his head, his eyes widening in surprise. "Trip? What trip? You never told me we were going anywhere!"
Frederick raised an eyebrow. "Oh, really? I thought I’d mentioned that we’re going on a trip tomorrow morning."
"No, you didn’t," Reynold replied.
Frederick chuckled softly. "I’m sorry, sweetheart."
Reynold’s expression softened. He wrapped his arms around Frederick’s neck and rested his face against his shoulder.
"It’s okay," he whispered happily, pressing a gentle kiss to Frederick’s skin. "I’ll go anywhere in the world with you, as long as you’re right beside me."
Frederick’s expression softened with affection. "That’s my sweet boy."
