Chapter 77: Chapter 77: Don’t Disrespect My Husband

When he reached the front door, he opened it, and his face lit up with a welcoming smile at the sight of his university friends standing outside.

"Look who finally decided to show up," Elisha said with a laugh, stepping aside to let them in.

One of his friends grinned as he walked inside. "Well, look at the soon-to-be groom."

"Congratulations, man," another friend added, giving Elisha a firm handshake before patting him on the shoulder. "You actually made it out of the bachelor life."

Elisha laughed and greeted each of them before closing the door behind them. "Come on in. It’s good to see you guys."

He led them into the spacious living room, where Henry was still sitting on the couch. Henry smiled politely as they approached.

"Hey, guys. Welcome."

"Hey, Henry. Good to see you," one of them replied with a friendly smile.

"Good to see you too," Henry said.

The friends exchanged a few more greetings with Henry before taking their seats. Elisha settled beside Henry, keeping a hand comfortably around his waist.

He then called for the housekeeper, who soon appeared and asked what they would like to have.

"Just some champagne for us," one of his friends replied. "We don’t need anything to eat."

The housekeeper nodded and left. A few minutes later, she returned with a bottle of chilled champagne and several crystal glasses. She placed them neatly on the coffee table before stepping away.

One of the friends reached for the bottle and poured champagne into the glasses, passing them around before settling back into the conversation.

They settled into an easy conversation, reminiscing about their university days and catching up on everything that had happened since then. Naturally, the discussion eventually turned to the wedding. After a while, one of them leaned forward with a grin.

"So, since your wedding is only a week away, we were thinking you need a proper bachelor night."

Elisha raised an eyebrow. "A bachelor night?"

"Of course," his friend replied with a laugh. "A proper night out. Drinks, a club, and a little fun before you officially become a married man. We’re organizing everything."

Elisha turned to Henry. "What do you think, baby?"

Henry gave them a polite smile. "It’s a thoughtful idea, really, but I think it might be too much, especially since nothing has been planned in advance on our side."

"Don’t worry about that," one of his friends said with a grin. "You don’t have to plan anything. We’ll take care of everything."

Elisha shook his head, already making up his mind. "You heard him. We haven’t planned anything, and with everything we already have going on, we’re not doing it."

Henry smiled and leaned over to give Elisha a light kiss on the cheek. "Babe, I’ll let you catch up with your friends. I’ll be upstairs if you need me."

"Alright, pretty," Elisha murmured, his thumb brushing gently over Henry’s hip.

Henry gave the group a polite smile. "It was nice seeing you all. Enjoy yourselves."

"You too, Henry," one of them replied.

Henry then left the living room and headed upstairs.

The moment he was out of earshot, the mood in the room changed. Elisha’s friends exchanged surprised looks, clearly unable to believe how quickly he had turned down the idea.

"Seriously, Elisha?" one of them finally asked, setting his glass down. "You just agreed to cancel your bachelor party because Henry said no?"

Elisha’s gaze narrowed slightly, his voice calm but firm. "If he says no, then it’s a no."

Another friend took a sip of his drink and let out a dry laugh. "Man, your marriage is going to be as boring as your partner."

"I knew he’d say no," a third friend added, rolling his eyes. "Henry has always been like that since our university days, a complete antisocial introvert. He’s so boring. Who in their right mind turns down a bachelor party right before their wedding?"

Elisha remained silent, his jaw tightening as he stared at them.

The fourth friend shook his head. "Seriously, getting married to Henry is going to change you for the worse, Elisha. You’re going to end up just as dull. You could have chosen someone more exciting and outgoing instead of him."

The four friends broke into laughter.

That was the breaking point.

Slowly, Elisha raised his head and looked at each of them, his expression turning cold.

"Are you done?" he asked quietly.

The laughter died instantly. They froze, staring at him as the sharpness in his voice finally registered.

Elisha leaned forward, resting his forearms on his knees. The calm expression he had worn moments earlier was gone, replaced by a cold, unmistakable anger.

"You know what you all need to learn? How to mind your own fucking business," he said, his voice rising. "You call him boring just because he’s focused and reserved? The truth is, none of you could ever match his intelligence, his character, or his worth. If all you’re looking for is a marriage filled with parties and cheap thrills, then go find someone who wants the same thing. Don’t sit here and judge the man I love because he doesn’t live the way you do."

His jaw tightened as he stared at them.

"I’m marrying Henry because I love him more than anything. He means everything to me. A late-night party or some temporary fun means nothing compared to him. I chose him long before I ever stood anywhere near an altar, and I will keep choosing him for the rest of my life. So if you have a problem with that, you’re free to walk out through the same door you came through."

One of them swallowed hard and raised a hand defensively. "Elisha, man, we were just joking—"

"Don’t you ever speak about my husband like that again," Elisha cut in, his voice firm. "You think he’s too quiet? That’s your opinion, and you can keep it to yourself. His personality has nothing to do with any of you. You don’t get to insult him simply because he turned down your idea of a good time."

He stood, his full height making his anger even more intimidating.

"My husband is not boring. He’s intelligent, thoughtful, and full of life, and I love every part of who he is. You don’t have to understand why I love him. You just need to respect him."

He pointed firmly toward the foyer.

"So either shut your mouths right now, or get the fuck out of my house."

None of them spoke.

Elisha’s expression hardened.

"In fact, all of you. Get out of my house. Now."

The room fell completely silent.

None of them dared to argue. The anger in Elisha’s voice made it clear that he was no longer willing to tolerate another word.

One of his friends slowly set his glass down on the coffee table. "Elisha, come on. We didn’t mean to—"

"I said get out." Elisha cut him off, his voice cold and firm.

The man stopped speaking.

The others exchanged uncomfortable looks before getting to their feet. The relaxed mood from earlier was completely gone.

"We’re sorry," one of them finally muttered.
