[BL] After SSS-rank mage reborn as the Legendary Craftsman

Chapter 129: The New Office of Angel’s Kiss Guild

Kang Ian left, leaving behind a tract of land that had been practically ground into a flat plain.

However, the one who caused the majority of the devastation was gone, leaving those who remained to clean up the mess.

Moon So-Yeon stood amid the rubble, her silver hair whipping in the wind. Beside her, Irumi was desperately trying to persuade Kang Mi-So to return to the Angel’s Kiss Guild.

"Guild Leader Kang, we’ve been out here long enough. There are still plenty of things back at the Guild that need your attention, so hurry up and head back with me!"

Kang Mi-So sat atop a massive boulder, her legs swinging back and forth with an expression that bore zero resemblance to someone who had just spent three consecutive days locked in combat. The injuries on her body had nearly all closed up, leaving only a few streaks of dried blood lingering across her lovely face.

In the end, Kang Mi-So had lost that battle. The [Angel] race possessed numerous mystical skills, but their combat prowess was sacrificed quite a bit compared to Kang Ian, whose abilities were purely optimized for slaughter.

Kang Mi-So acted as though she hadn’t heard a word.

"Irumi is talking to you," Moon So-Yeon chimed in.

"Mm."

Kang Mi-So replied calmly, though her gaze remained fixed in the direction of Dong-San City in the distance, her heart once again drifting toward a certain handsome face she hadn’t seen in days.

Moon So-Yeon let out a sigh.

She had a premonition that this matter wasn’t going to end here.

Sure enough, a few minutes later, Kang Mi-So abruptly spoke up.

"Irumi."

"Yes?"

Irumi lit up with excitement, assuming Kang Mi-So had finally regained a shred of conscience and agreed to follow her back to the Angel’s Kiss Guild. Alas, she was destined to be disappointed.

"Build an Angel’s Kiss Guild office in Dong-San City, and set up a two-way teleportation gate as well."

Alarm bells immediately started ringing inside Moon So-Yeon’s head.

Irumi froze as well. She slowly turned her head to look at Moon So-Yeon, wearing an expression of such helpless desperation that words weren’t even necessary to convey her thoughts.

Moments later, Irumi crept over to Moon So-Yeon’s side and whispered, "Can we negotiate this a little?"

Moon So-Yeon cast her a chilling glare. "No."

"You haven’t even heard what I have to say yet!" Irumi muttered in misery.

"An Angel’s Kiss branch office is not going to be established in Dong-San City."

"But why?"

"The Black Dragon Guild has already set up an office there." Moon So-Yeon reached up to massage her throbbing temples. "A small city like Dong-San doesn’t need two competing SS-rank Guilds setting up support offices at the same time."

"That’s just the Black Dragon Guild’s office, though. Angel’s Kiss doesn’t have one there yet?!"

"That’s precisely why it’s unnecessary! Since when has Dong-San City ever had enough high-tier Dungeons to warrant stationing three SS-rank Guilds there?!"

Moon So-Yeon felt a migraine coming on.

Dong-San City was originally nothing more than an ordinary municipality where sub-S-rank Dungeons occasionally popped up. Yet in a short span of time, it had successively drawn the attention of the Black Dragon Guild, the Crying Ghost Guild, the Angel’s Kiss Guild, and even the Zootopia Guild.

If this kept up, before long, all five of South Korea’s largest Guilds would have a presence there.

Just what on earth made this city so special?

Sitting not far away, Kang Mi-So chuckled as she listened to the two women negotiate. Her transparent golden eyes cast a sidelong glance toward Moon So-Yeon.

"That might not be the case in the future, Moon So-Yeon."

Moon So-Yeon turned her head to look at her. "What do you mean?"

Kang Mi-So didn’t answer right away. She simply brushed a tiny speck of stone off her shoulder, looked out toward the horizon, and spoke with deep implication:

"Just wait and see what the future holds."

Moon So-Yeon frowned.

That remark instantly reminded her of a clandestine meeting she had with Kim Woo-Jin the previous month, right after he traveled to the Crying Ghost Guild’s headquarters to seek her out.

At that time, Kim Woo-Jin had told her only one thing.

"The future of Dong-San City is bizarre."

Moon So-Yeon still remembered his expression then. His naturally gloomy features had grown even heavier, like someone who had just laid eyes on something that had no right existing within the flow of time.

"Everything I foresaw there was distorted," Kim Woo-Jin had said. "Not just me—the prophetic visions of everyone else have been compromised."

"Then what on earth did you see?"

"Nothing at all."

And that was precisely what terrified Kim Woo-Jin the most.

His prophetic abilities weren’t infallible, but never had the entire future of an entire city become so hazy and warped that telling truth from falsehood was impossible.

"The Crying Ghost Guild won’t be able to handle this alone," Kim Woo-Jin had continued. "When that time comes, you’ll either have to find a solution on your own, or you’ll need the combined strength of all five major Guilds."

Thinking back to that, Moon So-Yeon slowly shifted her gaze back to Kang Mi-So.

Perhaps she truly had seen something.

The powers of the [Angel] race were inherently mystical. Kang Mi-So possessed countless clones scattered across the globe, gathering a massive web of intelligence no one else could access. If she had decided to establish an Angel’s Kiss office in Dong-San City, it was certainly not on a whim.

"Guild Leader Kang Mi-So," Moon So-Yeon called out.

"Hmm?"

"What is it that you saw?"

Kang Mi-So tilted her head to look at her, the smile on her lips deepening, yet she refused to utter a single word of what Moon So-Yeon wanted to hear.

Moon So-Yeon fell silent.

Standing beside her, Irumi abandoned her attempts to negotiate as her gaze turned serious. She knew full well that Kang Mi-So would never make vague or meaningless decisions on a whim.
