Chapter 416 - The Four Brother’s Past (1)
Jiang Wan originally wanted to use Father Jiang's will to threaten him, because after Father Jiang's shares were given to her, she would be the largest shareholder of the Jiang Corporation, and even Jiang Chenglang would have to listen to her.
Unexpectedly, Jiang Chenglang didn't care about these things at all!
Jiang Wan silently gritted her teeth, but before she could say anything, Jiang Chenglang continued:
"Also, since you want to stay in the Jiang family so badly, you can stay there alone. Xiao Yu and I will move out. Will you be satisfied then?"
Jiang Yu's eyes widened.
When did they decide on this?
Why didn't she know about it?
Jiang Chenglang turned around and comforted Jiang Yu, "I've already chosen a few houses with different styles. You can see which one you like better. They've all been renovated and you can move in at any time."
Jiang Yu: ???
Jiang Chenglang: "I've even reserved the biggest bedroom for you. There's also a big kitchen and a large freezer. You can have a BBQ on the lawn and all the ingredients are have been frozen."
Jiang Yu: "Sure."
Jiang Yu: "Send me some pictures later. I'll take a look."
Jiang Chenglang: "Alright, everything is ready."
Seeing the two of them conversing, Jiang Wan was furious. "Big Brother..."
Jiang Chenglang stood up. "Alright, it's almost time. We've said everything we need to say. We need to go back and attend to something else. Don't worry, I'll give you all the identities you want."
Jiang Chenglang said the last sentence meaningfully. Then, he nodded at Rong Qi and left with Jiang Yu.
Rong Qi said, "Miss Jiang Wan, please give me that strand of hair."
...
After leaving the ward, Jiang Yu yawned again.
In her previous world, every day, she used to feel like she couldn't wake up. She would always feel very sleepy and her stomach would always feel hungry.
So, when she was young, she trained with an empty stomach and endured her sleepiness.
When she grew up, no one could control her. If there weren't some special circumstances, Jiang Yu would stay home and sleep, eat, and drink.
Now that she had landed in a book, she felt a little better than before. However, she was still sleepy and hungry.
Jiang Chenglang understood. "I'll get the kitchen to prepare supper."
Jiang Yu covered her mouth and nodded.
Jiang Chenglang continued, "I'm sorry for what happened today. I didn't expect things to turn out this way."
Jiang Yu's expression changed slightly. She opened her mouth to ask a question, but when she saw Jiang Chenglang's expression, she held it back.
"This has nothing to do with you. Since you don't want to live in the old house anymore, you can move out."
Seeing how the other three brothers hated the old house, it was obvious that the place probably held many of their not-so-good memories.
On the way back, Jiang Chenglang and Jiang Yu didn't say a word to each other.
When they got back to the Jiang family home, Jiang Chenglang went into the study to settle some matters. Jiang Yu was eating supper when she saw the butler, Uncle Mo, walking past her. Suddenly, she called out to him.
"Uncle Mo, I have a few questions I want to ask you."
Uncle Mo was surprised that Jiang Yu would call out to him.
Ever since Jiang Yu had arrived at the Jiang family home, she hasn't acknowledged his presence much. He was a little surprised for a moment. After a moment, he was overwhelmed by the request and quickly walked over.
"Young miss, what do you want to ask me?"
Jiang Yu put down her chopsticks.
"In your opinion, what kind of person was Father Jiang?"
Uncle Mo hesitated and said, "Did young miss just want to understand sir, or did she hear something from outside?"
"Actually, I'm not really curious about what kind of person he is," Jiang Yu corrected her words and said, "I'm just curious.... Why are the four sons of the Jiang family not willing to talk about him?"
