Chapter 848: Chapter 146: Kings’ Assembly: Pan-Northern Territory Destiny Community_4

Knowledge is power, wisdom is power.

But there are places beyond Karon’s wisdom, just as at this moment.

Underneath the Dragon’s Nest Mountain Range, the energy deep within the earth’s core, after more than a decade of extraction, is nearing depletion.

If this Red Dragon continues to extract without restraint as before, it may significantly lower the temperature of the entire vast region surrounding the Dragon Nest Mountain Range.

The deeper energy is shielded by thick layers of crust rock. Although Karon could continue to penetrate the crust, the effort seems somewhat futile compared to the energy extracted.

Therefore, Karon had to apply his meticulous manipulation, extracting every possible form of energy around him.

Like the ubiquitous static field in the cosmic material rules.

As long as a material form exists, there will be energy, including momentum.

And the four types of energy in the static field — electric potential energy, interaction energy, self-energy, static energy — were absorbed under the strong spiritual power and subtle antennas of this Red Dragon.

This resulted in the area around this Ancestral Red Dragon’s lair becoming a dead zone for elements and all energy, like a static force field.

“Hmm,” Karon’s ever-raised head wasn’t in a daze, but rather looking at the fireball— the sun— rising above the Icaria World.

“If I could build a nest in the sun, I wouldn’t need to worry about consuming energy too quickly. This would allow me to wield my abilities at will,”

A glint of longing appeared in the slit of Karon’s dark golden pupil, which was a rare sight.

“Unfortunately, the sun is somewhat distant from Icaria, and who knows if some strange thing occupies it. Otherwise, I could build my old nest upon the sun.”

So thought the Red Dragon.

Other Red Dragons, though almost entirely immune to flames, understand that the sun, both in terms of the laws of matter or some peculiar sun, isn’t just made of pure flames.

So few Red Dragons harbor such notions; only Karon would conceive such an odd thought.

But with Karon’s current capability, at most, he could only reside near the sun’s surface for a long time.

The external uproar and the undercurrents stirred by him couldn’t bother his mind.

The nobles delight in both physical and psychological slaughter, and Karon merely let those nobles feel fear in the same way.

War is not exhilarating only when the weak triumph over the strong; it’s about smashing the opponent with a legitimate and overwhelming force.

Even if the Golden Empire could destroy the Southern Noble Alliance with its power alone, Karon wouldn’t allow the nation built with the Dragon Group to suffer unnecessary losses.

Moreover, since the visit of Princess Isabelle Adjani of the Elf Kingdom, after presenting that gift, Karon vaguely sensed the truth hidden behind the daunting problems troubling many Divine Spirits.

The so-called invasion of the Alien God may merely be the prelude to future turmoils, with fiercer waves accumulating beneath the dark currents.

Just as Karon focused his gaze on the sun, he never restricted his vision within the Icaria World.

That’s why he seized this opportunity to complete his originally planned strategy; when plans can’t keep up with changes, he lets the entire world dance to his will.

“I wonder how the Southern Noble Alliance compares to the Pan-Northern Territory Destiny Community, led by the Golden Empire?” Karon bared his bright fangs as he gazed at the sun.

The evolution of civilization doesn’t require massive, homogenized development and productivity but needs growth that is more personalized and diverse.

Karon’s original plan was never to let the Golden Empire dominate the entire Northern Territory or even the entire Icaria World.

Dull conquest could not arouse his will and desire; conquest was merely his means, not his goal.

And merely relying on the Golden Empire and his strength, accomplishing his goal would be extremely distant.

He seeks to pursue the rules and principles in the Endless World and needs endless tentacles.

But he can lead other civilizations and forces onto his envisaged path with whip and bait.

This way, the Golden Empire can avoid talent loss from conquering other forces in Icaria and create benefits for the ambitious Red Dragon.

“As for those Southern Nobles, they are just the chicken to warn the monkeys!” Karon slowly lowered his head, lying on the dried and solidified magma, pondering another issue.

But the silence was broken by the bustling little elf, Little Elf Riven.

The Pick Elf flew over angrily, flapping her pair of wings, unafraid of the Red Dragon’s terrifying presence.

“Karon, how are you? Are you bored? I’m here to play cards with you!” As she flew in front of the Red Dragon, the Pick Elf’s fair and almost transparent little face showed a smile, her little hands on her hips as she asked.

The blood-colored pupils of Karon revealed a smile, and he asked, “Riven, were you bullied by those elves from the Elf Wilderness again?”

“Not at all,” the Little Elf flew around Karon’s huge head, patting her chest and confidently said, “How could they be my match? I could topple them all with one hand.”

“But I’m very kind, you see, so I didn’t give them a beating.”

“Well, alright,” Karon nodded. The Little Elf wasn’t wrong; the ability of the evolved Little Elf is temporarily unknown, as Karon had never seen Riven’s fighting appearance.

But the Legendary Ivory Chain on Riven’s wrist was enough to give those elves a hard time, not to mention the two verdant ‘Dragon Horns’ on the Little Elf’s head.

They were the lethal weapons everyone in the Golden Empire desired.

“Come on, Karon, you shouldn’t deliberately lose to make me happy anymore,” Riven shouted by Karon’s ear, “You are the greatest, strongest, and smartest Emperor of the Golden Empire, how can you casually lose to others.”

“Alright, alright,” Karon responded.

The breeze blew by, and time was peaceful.

After some time, the lair of the Red Dragon echoed with the Little Elf’s arrogant giggling.

“Yoo-hoo, Karon, you lost to me again! Riven is the smartest elf in the Golden Empire!”

“Indeed, yes.”
