Beneath the Red Dragon
Chapter 830 - 141: An Jing
Elf Princess Agani and her guards strolled down the street, beginning to search for those in need of help, as the distant sound of roars from dragons could be heard.
The elves knew it was the Golden Empire’s legion beginning to suppress the chaos, curbing the sudden destruction.
She actually liked the atmosphere of the Golden Empire, as elves also have an aesthetic appreciation for all things beautiful.
The blood spread across the street; the kind-hearted elves did not look at those who had long since perished, she noticed in the distant pool of blood, there were still two dragons with breath remaining, weak but not terrifying.
One was a giant dragon with gem-like purple scales all over its body, and the other a rare, lean dragon of black iron color.
Massive amounts of dragon blood soaked their originally clean scales, with dreadful and fierce wounds all over these two dragons.
And the weak dragon heard footsteps, arduously turning its head, using the last gleam in its eyes to look at the elf.
The dragon with purple gemstone scales still emitted heavy, deep breaths.
Isabelle Adjani knew this lean dragon was one of the core members of the Golden Empire, renowned even among the empire’s lower ranks, Steel Dragon Midir.
Agani hurriedly ran forward and tried to save the life of the weak Steel Dragon with her elf’s natural magic.
"You are one of the Dragon Lords of the Golden Empire, how come you didn’t wait for the imperial legion and other dragons to support you, letting yourself end up like this,"
Agani sprinkled healing magic light while asking, puzzled because it seemed incomprehensible to her.
"Cough, cough,"
Steel Dragon Midir grumbled from his blood-soaked throat, "I am a Lord of the Empire, I naturally have the duty to protect the empire, I can’t bear to see it destroyed by such a catastrophe."
"Even at the cost of your life?" Agani asked.
"It seems like everyone is fixated on a good ending, but I think the ending doesn’t equate to everything, I chose to follow Gogomola’s path because I made a choice,"
Steel Dragon Midir said, "What you don’t change is what you choose, I changed, so I am willing to bear the consequences, the quality of the ending doesn’t matter to me."
The elf sighed: "Such an awe-inspiring thought."
"What’s there to be in awe of? Every choice is but a thought away," Steel Dragon Midir, rejuvenated after the healing, seemed much more spirited.
"This Purple Crystal Dragon, called Loya the fool, resisted the chaos for merely the temptation of a few thousand gold coins, he chose to fight alongside me, and now he’s gained a strength that even surprises him,"
But Steel Dragon Midir’s thoughts seemed too lively, she suddenly screamed.
"No, these five thousand gold coins can’t come from just one dragon, I need to apply for additional funding from Gogomola."
Agani was amused by the incredible leaps in logic of this Steel Dragon.
But at this moment,
The mottled black night suddenly ignited with boundless flames responding to her.
Steel Dragon Midir quickly flipped over and climbed up, raising her head, looking with the dragons and elves at that direction of disturbance.
The city’s millions of lights dimmed, the moonlight obscured by dark clouds, only the Emperor descended with a storm from the sky.
The wings of two Dragon Kings stretched beneath the Emperor in the sky, like eagles under the wings of the Red Dragon, heralds leading the way for the king.
Dragon Emperor and the scaled kings descended.
The highest dragon eyes flickered with fire and the burning ancient dragon script, carrying the dignity that looks down upon all beings, perched atop the tallest tower of the Imperial Royal Capital.
The massive Golden Bell that shakes to awaken the entire city, measuring the time of morning and evening drums, seemed to hang from the dragon’s claws, swaying without making any sound.
The Empire’s Dragon Kings lay beneath the Emperor.
King Gomot of the White Scale climbed with four claws, the massive body hooked onto the left side of the tower, under sprawling wings, looking back with an eagle’s view.
Green-scaled King Antajena curled her long tail upwards, the large body stretched and connected to the tower on the right side, her head adorned with the Jade Crown held high, observing all beings like a proud king.
Every giant dragon had to halt their movements and roaring for they were fearful of what lay ahead.
The Royal Capital of the Empire, this city was not just a city but a territory.
The Golden Empire Dragon Emperor’s territory filled with his majesty.
The Royal Capital was vast, but not larger than Karon Gogomola’s authority and power.
Here, he seemed to be able to grip the entire world in his paw, ascend to the peak, overseeing seas and mountains, devouring heaven and earth, any who resist shall perish!
All roaring dragons closed their mouths and retracted their claws and teeth, to avoid inciting the king’s wrath.
All warriors stopped their steps and raised their blood-stained blades high.
Even the ’War’ mainframe of the Golem Legion began producing sounds akin to spiritual energy currents, "Sss... Emperor...!"
And from behind the towering dragon perched high, in the massive magic teleportation array rising from the dome passage, a battalion of legion warriors seemed to shuttle from far-off space and time, descending alongside the Empire’s ruler into the current world.
With these legions simultaneously descended the timeless ally of the Golden Empire, the King of Dark Elves Anudale and Dark Nest Lord Shalos, starting today.
