Chapter 1025 - 426: Apocalypse Knight 3

Chapter 1025: Chapter 426: Apocalypse Knight 3

"Item Name: Seed of Death (Unripe)"

"Item Type: Special"

"Item Description: A divine seed that contains the powers of death and soul manipulation. The seed contains potent Power of Death. By activating it through suitable methods, one can obtain powerful Death Divinity. If this Divine Seed fully matures, its effects will further enhance."

"Note: Death is the final destination none of the gods can escape. You don’t have to walk towards twilight; twilight will naturally approach you."

Wu Chang took out the Seed of Plague that exploded from the Fly King’s body, and the Seed of Famine that exploded from Xavier’s body, from his portable space.

With the Strife Divinity that comes with his Knight of Strife, he has now gathered the divinities of Plague, War, Famine, and Death. These four abilities together naturally evoke thoughts of the Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse, who herald the end of the world.

When he first obtained the Seed of Plague, he had a semblance of this premonition, but divine seeds are rare to come by, and even in the Realm of Reason, finding a powerful divine seed is remarkably difficult, so he merely thought about it without giving it much consideration.

Who would have thought that by sheer coincidence, he really managed to gather a complete set of divinities.

He clearly did not actively seek them out, yet these divinities appeared one by one, drawing near to him, as if there was a bond between the Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse, attracting them to each other.

Now he had to consider whether the Knight of Strife’s next reincarnation should align with the Apocalypse Knight.

He sensed the four divinities he possessed, among which Hel’s Death Divinity was incompatible with the other three.

Due to Hel falling into a half-dead state before completing the Netherworld Ritual, subsequently, when no one restrained her, as the surface of the Underground Shelter plane fell into desolation, she already had her consciousness damaged and was sealed within a secret research facility, preventing her Hel Divinity from truly maturing.

Yet even so, the semi-mature state of the Seed of Death was far superior to the other divine seeds Wu Chang held.

Moreover, from a mythological setting perspective, the Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse are merely subordinates, not as high-ranking as Hel.

His Strife Divinity, because he stole Leman’s Chaos Authority, was reasonably high-ranking, whereas the Plague and Famine divinities were somewhat lacking.

Forcibly combining them, one couldn’t just wait for Death and Strife to wreak havoc followed by the other two saying "We are truly strong together."

To debut them as a group, after supplementing the Death Divinity, there is still a need to find ways to enhance the Plague and Famine divinities.

Wu Chang returned the three divine seeds to his portable space and commenced his current mission.

He followed Hel’s resentment, leading Erin and others to the core area at the back of the research division, once the Resonance Laboratory where experimental subjects fused the Imaginary Divinity.

Now the resonance platform for merging the Imaginary Divinity had vanished, transformed into a massive suture ritual.

Within the ritual encompassing futuristic high-tech devices, a Mystical Ceremony set with items and talismans, and primitive priestly elements like stone sculptures and offerings could be observed.

This was the center of the Netherworld Ritual.

In the very heart of the ceremony stood a statue of a woman, half beautiful and half grotesque, evidently depicting Hel.

Wu Chang pointed at Hel’s statue and said to Erin:

"This is the source of the abnormality in the entire plane. Once it is severed, everything will be restored."

He Yi was utterly confused upon hearing this, looking towards He Yun, awaiting his sister’s explanation.

However, this time He Yun did not grasp Wu Chang’s meaning either, only giving He Yi a look which requested him to fathom it himself, but she forgot she was now a drone, unable to display any expression.

As the two exchanged confused glances, Erin had already understood Wu Chang’s intent, drawing the Eternal Lake.

As the Sword of Order activated, the lake light burst skyward from the blade, forcibly drawing the attention of He Yun’s siblings.

He Yi said enviously, "Yun, I want this."

Before He Yun could reply, Erin swung the Eternal Light vertically, slashing through Hel’s statue.

The statue split along the seam into two halves, beautiful and grotesque, then vanished into two heaps of ashes.

Crack.

An abrupt but distinct sound of breaking simultaneously echoed in their ears, and the next moment, the powerful restoration force from the Sword of Order reversed the Netherworld Ritual.

Wu Chang entered a temporary administrator view, noticing the surface’s gray color gradually fading with the secret research facility at the center.

The fading speed wasn’t as quick as the evolution rate of the surface purification generator, but this slow recession was very thorough, with all areas restored to normal rejuvenating vitality anew.

To ensure the underground shelter’s operation, He Yun had consistently stayed beside the surface purification generator on the lower third level, monitoring the purification status.

Almost as Wu Chang observed the surface changes, He Yun also sensed changes in Collette City, exclaiming in surprise.

He Yi asked, "Yun, what’s happening?"

He Yun replied, "The surface’s anomaly has begun reversing, the function you want, I probably can’t achieve it now."

Wu Chang took out the All-Knowing Crystal to inquire about the surface’s purification situation.

The All-Knowing Crystal informed him the surface purification speed would surpass the Netherworld plan, yet restoring the planet to normal would be a very lengthy process, requiring at least ten months to a year.

But one thing was certain, this slash by Erin indeed reversed the plane’s desolation, generating vigorous vitality on the surface anew.

As the All-Knowing Crystal provided definite affirmation, Wu Chang’s Fortune Raider title was activated, presenting a line of prompts before him.

"Player rescued the desolate wasteland — Plane 9876, revitalizing the plane completely changing its trajectory, allowing survivors on this plane to return to the surface, player gained significant destiny from the change."

"Player Destiny in Wasteland — Plane 9876 +100."

"Player Permanent Destiny +10."

"Player’s permanent destiny reached 25, increasing chances of obtaining high-value items during exploration on any plane, all non-hostile intelligent beings subconsciously respond to you friendly."
