Beastworld: The Baddie Eats Red Flag MLs For Breakfast
Chapter 61 Bee Nest
Chapter 61: 61 - Bee Nest
(Yaya’s POV)
I should open a circus. With all the clowns I had collected, we would be the biggest attraction in the world. I didn’t care about the profits, as long as I got to throw knives at them. Whips too, and fire.
Oh, yes, my mood was improving just thinking about all the ways I could torture them.
They shut up after a while, realizing that I wasn’t laughing with them. I must have looked like a demon to them, plotting their demise in silence.
Even the gasums stopped bouncing and came to cuddle with me instead. The water slid off their fur, leaving them dry to the touch.
They liked violence, these little ones. They nuzzled against me, purring contentedly. I scratched their chins, and they purred louder. At least someone appreciated my behavior.
We didn’t stumble upon any miracle beasts yet, which was a shame. I was hoping to get above Dickhead’s level of power, so he wouldn’t be able to push me around anymore. Not that it would change the fact that he had an upper hand over me because of father.
Nugget as well...He only wanted me to stop insulting him and play nice.
Ugh, wasn’t it frustrating? I hated feeling this helpless. It made me want to crawl out of my skin and rip my hair out.
"Is that a bee nest?" Dickhead asked, his gaze fixed on a tree ahead of us.
We all looked where he was pointing and saw a hive dangling from a branch. It was huge, about the size of a cow. It was also covered in bees, huge bees. And they didn’t look happy.
"We should leave them alone," Nugget said, wisely.
"I want to make some soap for our Kurus," Dickhead said, standing up on Noodle’s back and rolling down his sleeves. "He should be less bothered by our scents with it."
"That doesn’t sound like a good reason to provoke the bees," Nugget argued, watching the bees fly around the hive.
"How do you make soap, Precious?" Dickhead ignored Nugget and asked me instead. "Do you know how to do it? I’ve never done it before."
"Do I look like a soap maker to you?" I kept scratching the gasums’ chins.
"You look like you know everything. So, I assumed you know how to make soap as well."
I wanted to see him get stung by the bees, so I didn’t discourage him from attempting to take the honey.
Instead of smoking the hive out, I told him a very complicated and time-consuming method. "First, you have to kiss the hive and ask the queen bee for permission to take her wax. Then you have to bow and say ’thank you’ and offer her a gift. If she accepts..."
"Alright." Dickhead stopped me from spewing more nonsense. "I get it. You don’t know."
I shrugged, watching Noodle swim closer to the tree.
Once we were under the tree, Dickhead began to smoke the hive with the leaves Nugget gathered for him. The bees were confused enough to not attack him.
Dickhead lunged forward in time for Nugget to shift into his eagle form, and together they flew to the hive. He used my machetes to hack the hive open, caught a chunk that fell, and then flew away.
Noodle swam away from the tree, with Nugget following him from above. I was impressed with their teamwork, even though I wanted the bees to chase them down.
Once we were far enough, Moyu landed back on Noodle’s back.
"Now we only need some milk and fat to make soap," Dickhead said, holding the dripping part of a hive in his hands.
Nugget flew off to find those, while Dickhead began to separate the wax from the honeycomb in his hands. He used fruit gourt to gather the honey that dripped down, and when he was done, he handed me a small piece of the comb. "Try it. It’s sweet."
I was about to take it and put it in my mouth, but he pulled his hand away.
"You were patting the gasum just now." He broke off a small piece of the comb and brought it to my lips.
Ignoring the pressure in my chest, I snatched the comb from him and ate it. He really expected that to stop me? As if I cared about some germs.
The honey was thick and sweetly rich. It melted on my tongue and spread its flavor all over my mouth. It was delicious.
"Good, isn’t it?" Dickhead handed me another.
Noodle turned his massive head to the side. "Mate, share."
Taking the offered piece, I climbed up Noodle’s body and fed him a piece of the comb as well. He flicked his tongue, tasting it, then opened his mouth to let me throw the whole thing in. "Sweet."
"Should I make some candies for Nivi?" I asked, my fingers sticky with honey. "She would like it."
"She got her males to do anything she wants; she doesn’t need your help, mate, remember?" Noodle said while Dickhead kept working on the honeycomb.
True, but I still wanted to.
"Is there a plant that tastes a bit spicy?" I tried to describe ginger to Noodle. "It has a mild burning sensation when you eat it; it’s also very fragrant, and it makes you feel warm inside."
Noodle didn’t understand what I was looking for, and went on a rant about poisonous plants that could burn your insides and kill you (he misunderstood the warm feeling). He said it was why he and his ancestors didn’t eat plants.
A rustle of wings announced Nugget’s return. Clutched in his talons was a primal female with curved horns jutting from her skull and thick hide. He placed her on the branch close to us and shifted back to his human form.
"Got what we need. Her milk should be rich enough," he said and began squeezing the primal’s milk into a hollowed gourd.
Dickhead leaped from Noodle’s back and landed next to Nugget. He produced my machetes again. The blades sang through the air and cut through the tough muscle and sinew, dismembering the beast. He looked more in his element doing this than playing house.
He sliced away thick layers of fat, stacking them neatly on broad leaves. Once he had enough, he left the corpse for the scavengers and washed his hands in a stream (after placing my machetes back inside his space).
"What is soap?" Noodle finally asked when he saw the lengths Dickhead went to make one. "I don’t want to smell like a primal, mate."
