Chapter 4526 - Defending Flameyellow

The flames of war continued to rage outside Deva Imperius. The devas fought against the allied armies of the five pantheons.

Zi Zhen, now seen as the specter queen, destroyed one divine astralship after another as the devas watched worshipfully.

The ashuras, Sin, Virtue, Sundown and Starfall Pantheons no longer had a leader and got pummeled nonstop. They had been incredibly arrogant when they first marched in Deva Imperius, only to end up in such a haggard state. Their imperatores were dead, their people were dying and their army's morale crumbled.

Even with the greater numbers, this allied army could no longer hold up against the devas who were backed by their astralguard formation, making them able to fight with many times their normal strength. Many devas even challenged two or three enemies at once.

The cosmic gods of the five-pantheon alliance panicked and despaired. Everything that happened at Deva Imperius was something they could never have dreamed of. It was the beginning of their utter elimination!

The Shen Wu that they so believed in didn't come to help them one bit, sending them hurtling further into the pits of despair. With no imperator on their side, they suspected that they had been truly abandoned. They weren't even able to escape through the wormhole expressway with Zi Zhen destroying their ships so quickly.

All they could do was to fly across the void of space with their bare bodies away from Deva Imperius as quickly as they could. The cosmic gods scattered in all directions, though more and more of them began to surrender and let themselves be taken prisoner. As far as they were concerned, dying was the end of everything, but surrendering gave them a sliver of hope.

Meanwhile, the Eight-Armed Specter King slapped one of the surrendered ashuras eight smacks on the face and said, "Come on, you fool! Why did you surrender? Are you still dreaming that the wonderians will be able to defeat the rest at the Flameyellow Imperial Star? Forget it! Even if they do win, it has nothing to do with you dogs from the five pantheons! Your imperatores are all dead, so nobody will care about you anymore!"

His words caused the ashuras' expressions to sour even further. At the end of the day, it didn't matter as long as they were allowed to live. They cried tears of humiliation before the mighty Eight-Armed Specter King.

This was all ZI Zhen's fault! It didn't take long before she led the devas to destroy all the ships of the enemy. Less than ten percent of the enemy cosmic gods managed to escape, which was only around two billion out of twenty billion. More than eight billion of them surrendered. The remaining ten billion were slaughtered by the devas that chased them down during their desperate escape.

"Am I dreaming? We devas are winning! We're fighting against five times our number but we're winning!"

"All hail Imperator Yin! All hail Li Tianming! All hail Empress Zi Zhen!"

"These ashuras kept on throwing their weight around back then. Let's see if they still dare to boss us around!"

"We're backed by Li Tianming!"

The devas continued to cheer as they cleaned up the battlefield. They felt pride about belonging in the alliance with Tianming and Zi Zhen. The devas were about to fall before the army of five pantheons, yet Zi Zhen's arrival had changed everything!

By now, she had returned to Deva Imperius as the battlefield cleanup no longer required her to be there. Her ninehall eyes also began to close temporarily, taking her out of the powered-up state. She transformed back to her eighty-thousand-meter petite form and went to Yingsang Daiqiong.

"The battle at the Flameyellow Imperial Star has begun," Zi Zhen said calmly.

Yingsang Daiqiong immediately understood what she was getting at and nodded. "Shall we send you back with our ship, Imperial Specter? We don't have access to the Flameyellow Divine Path, though, so it'd be slower."

Three of the specter kings were enough to take care of the rest of the battlefield cleanup, so Yingsang Daiqiong didn't need to remain. She was filled with respect and worship for Zi Zhen despite being the wife of Imperator Yin.

"Let's go," Zi Zhen said, not wasting words. According to Yin Chen, the wonderians had launched a full-on attack on the Sun. Imperator Shen of the wonderians could no longer afford to wait from the moment Zi Zhen killed Imperator Yinne, the first one.

Back at the Sun, cheers erupted all across the world the moment they heard of Zi Zhen's first kill. The flameyellow divinities' morale shot to the apex! Imperator Ming and Imperator Yinne's deaths took out two of the eight factions and caused them a massive blow. Before they heard about the rest, however, Tianming and Wudi received word of the impending attack.

"Wonderian ships have been detected at the exit of the pathway! They're heading straight to us!"

"Report! The wonderians have sent a force of fifteen billion pairs, making thirty billion men and women in total! They're crossing the pathway!"

"Imperator Shen has been detected at the vanguard of the forces!"

The Flameyellow Imperial Star was right at the opening of the pathway.

"Here they come." Tianming and Wudi's expressions turned grim when they heard the news.

"Son, do whatever you need to do. I'll go up and fight them. I can't afford to let my daughter-in-law outperform me after she killed their imperator!" Wudi laughed and shot into the air with the Flameyellow Coffin.

"Alright. The wonderians only have one imperator, so I'll leave them to you," Tianming said.

"Hey! Their imperator comes in a pair!" Wudi snapped.

The forces of the Sun were prepared for the arrival of the wonderian troops. The Flameyellow Guard Formation revved into action.

Within the pathway that connected to the Primordial Sands, the couple that made up Imperator Shen was filled with cold, killing intent. They led the way for their army fo fifteen billion wonderian pairs towards the Flameyellow Imperial Star on the other side of the pathway.

"We have to act fast and end this quickly. Otherwise, we'd be in trouble once Zi Zhen makes it back from Deva Imperius," said the male Imperator Shen.

"Don't worry, that person is here with us. Taking care of Li Tianming will be a breeze," said the female Imperator Shen.

Behind the forces, one could barely make out an otherworldly silver figure zipping through the pathway at breakneck speed!
