Chapter 4398 - State of the Realm of Chaos
Storms of sand blew nonstop from the nonstop clashing. Those within the Ninedragon Imperial Tomb who didn't know better thought that two massive beasts were fighting savagely. Occasional groans and grunts punctuated the sound of sand blowing. The commotion eventually ground to a stop after who knows how long.
Within the storm of sand, Tianming planted a kiss on Zi Zhen's forehead. "Things don't appear to be heating up here anymore, so I'll leave you to watch the place. I have to go back to check on the Realm of Chaos."
"You're already missing those four new concubines of yours after we finished doing what we did?" Zi Zhen rolled her eyes and pouted.
"What in the world are you talking about? Haven't I been sucked dry by you already?" He noticed that her ears were still flushed red. "Those four women are no doubt concocting some kind of scheme as we speak. Even if things have started to stabilize around here, I can't afford to leave things on the other side unattended."
"Go if you want. You don't need my permission," she said, pulling her arms apart.
"It never hurts to ask." Tianming gave her waist a pat. "Don't worry. If anything happens here, Feng will inform me about it. It doesn't take him much time to go to and fro."
"Alright." Zi Zhen knew that he was serious so she didn't want to worry him. "Stay safe and make sure to remain cautious even if things are getting better."
"I'll leave the undying aeternals here with you. Huang Qi is also here. I've tested it already and Sixth's control over her still works even when I'm in the other realm, but you still have to be wary of her."
"Alright. Are you leaving now?"
"Yes. Time is tight, after all. The gap between these two realms is growing a bit too much."
"What a busy man you have become."
"With great power comes great responsibility," Tianming said.
"It's great that you're the responsible sort. I'm just worried that you'll carry too many burdens and collapse from it," Zi Zhen said, eyes filled with worry.
"Don't underestimate me! I can shoulder everything."
"The skypole stars are no more, so you really have to be careful, not just of the four women but also the busybodies behind them."
"Got it!" Tianming definitely didn't want to disappoint Zi Zhen, especially after her thoughtful advice. He would do everything she said dutifully.
"Go now." She wasn't the type to waste time bidding farewell, so she showed herself out and headed towards the Ninedragon Imperial Tomb.
"She's just amazing," Tianming mused at the sight of her leaving. He felt really that the women he'd have encounters with were all decent despite their unique personalities. He didn't even blame Moran for disappearing, believing that there must've been something that changed that even she didn't have control over.
"Alright, on to the next step." He went to the pathway between realms.
Mu Qingqing had been waiting for him at the vortex the whole time, as if she had returned to the time when she quietly waited before his mural for the past hundred thousand years. She rose with a smile when she saw him. "You broke through again? That's great."
The fact that she had made it known to him that she was always ready to warm his bed was a fact that he didn't quite know what to make of. He looked at her ten-thousand-meter-tall form and said, "It seems like you'll have to siphon even more of your main body into this clone body of yours."
She shook her head and smiled. "This is the limit of my clone. From now on, I will no longer be able to respond to your needs and serve my wifely duties."
"How about we have your main body come? I will measure up," Tianming said.
She lowered her head and smiled without saying anything. Tianming wondered if she was hiding something. "Is it inconvenient for your main body?"
"There's no rush. You're still growing anyway," she said in a plain tone. "I also know that you're far from accepting me fully, so there's no need for you to tease me."
Tianming had really just been joking around, but he just realized that this had hurt her. "I'm sorry..."
"Don't be. I understand how you feel. Everything on the other side is foreign to you. Just act however you feel is best." She smiled as if her mood had improved quite a bit. "Let's not waste time. You should start converting your energy right away. There's been a commotion at Nullity and we might need you there to resolve it."
"Commotion?" Tianming immediately began the process. Though the nature of the energy he was using had changed, the progress he had made remained. Mu Qingqing watched him silently from the sidelines. Her worries grew when she saw that Tianming had removed the skypole stars and kept them as mementos.
"Let's go," Tianming said as he began heading to Nullity with her. "The commotion has something to do with those four imperatores, right?"
"Yes."
"What kind of trouble did they get themselves into?"
"Umm..." Mu Qingqing seemed rather hesitant to say it. "I'll tell you, but promise to stay calm."
"As long as they don't harm anyone I hold dear, what's there to be angry about?" Tianming chuckled.
"That's good," she said with a relieved sighed.
"What in the world happened?"
"Well... They seem to have cheated on you."
