Beastmaster of the Ages

Chapter 4267 – The Number Monster

Chapter 4267 – The Number Monster

Tianming remained thoughtful for a long while after Lingfeng left.

“One, two, three, four, five, six, seven, eight, nine? There are nine of them in total—could they all still be alive?” If he added this new “Three” and “Eight,” then that already made five.

That left “Two,” “Four,” “Six,” and “Seven.” If they existed, then where were they now?

The Ordered World, the Realm of Chaos, and the Sea of Aeternity were what Tianming knew of the universe so far.

“So Little Feng meant that somewhere within the Realm of Chaos, there’s a hidden hand manipulating the balance of all worlds.” Such news was hardly good for Tianming.

However, given his current level of strength and cultivation, there was no need for him to think too deeply about it yet.

“If real danger does appear, my parents in the Realm of Chaos will surely help shield me.”

Tianming thought of his skypole stars. Could his grandparents’ decisive actions have perhaps been related to these so-called hidden hands? “It seems the depths of the Realm of Chaos are far greater than I imagined.”

For now, his “grandparents,” “parents,” and “elder brother” had all spread their wings to protect him, allowing Tianming to set aside those higher concerns and focus on the present.

And the Dongshen Arena, the beginning of chaos omnisentient threads, was his current focus. “Omnisentient threads are formed from heavenly will, divine will, or order. But the Realm of Chaos has no order... if these people truly connect with me, what form will it take?”

Of course Tianming was curious. No omnisentient threads had been formed yet, only its budding signs. “Or who knows, maybe nothing will happen,” Tianming chuckled, shaking his head.

Even so, when he saw those gods of the Nullity trying to find joy amidst hardship and gazing at him with eyes full of longing, Tianming decided to see this to the end.

Before long, almost every Nullity god within the Dongshen Arena was summoned to the guild. No transmission stones meant word had to be primitively spread by mouth.

The guild was quickly packed shoulder to shoulder. People whispered excitedly to one another about what Tianming had just done, their voices full of passion. Hope was like a seed being watered by Tianming.

“The imperial son has arrived!” Dao Feng’s shout ended all conversation. Everyone turned their reverent gazes toward Tianming’s direction. Some even dropped to their knees.

“Let everyone rise first,” Tianming said awkwardly to Dao Feng. They were a little too enthusiastic.

“Yes.” Dao Feng paused, then said, “Imperial Son, almost everyone’s gathered!”

When the crowd finally settled down from their excitement, Tianming looked at them earnestly. “I’ve already learned about everyone’s situation, and I’ve spoken with some of you. Now, there’s an even more important matter I must announce to everyone at once.”

Seeing how serious his tone was, the people quieted completely, waiting for his next words.

At that moment, countless silver metal insects appeared within the guild hall, alarming everyone.

“What’s this?”

“No idea...”

People were a little nervous until they saw that the sea of silver was centered around the imperial son, washing away their fear.

Soon, the silver insects crawled onto everyone’s hands.

Each insect looked slightly different, but they all carried the same proud, haughty expression, making people half amused.

Once every person had one on their palm, Tianming addressed the crowd. “From now on, these insects will stay with each of you. If danger arises, they’ll alert you immediately. And if there’s an opportunity, they’ll also let you know. In short, through these insects, we’ll all be linked together until we become a single, unbreakable whole that no one can bully again!”

Hearing this, most of the Nullity cosmic gods were still bewildered. But Tianming spoke with such confidence it was hard to doubt his words.

“Thank you, imperial son!” Their excitement swelled once again.

“You’ll soon see for yourselves how incredible they are,” Tianming said with a knowing smile.

Yin Chen was absolutely invincible in a world without formations. It was omniscient in the Dongshen Arena, aware of all alliances, plots, what treasures people held, and what trump cards they possessed!

Through this system, it would be easy to transform a scattered, broken group into a truly powerful army.

“The Realm of Chaos really is primitive,” Tianming thought, still finding it unbelievable.

For instance, there wasn’t even a universal currency but still a system of barter. That was because their main commodity was nova source, not gems or ore.

Nova source could be competed for, but they couldn’t function as regular currency.

“Of course, that’s also because there’s no central organization in the Realm of Chaos. Without such a governing body, there’s no foundation of trust.” If anyone tried to force a certain object to become currency, yet that object held little intrinsic value and was common, trade would simply collapse.

Ironically, quintessence herbs were the true hard currency, but they had so many types they weren’t fit to serve as a currency unit.

It was actually a nigh miracle such a primitive and bizarre world had produced imperatores.

At the very least, Tianming’s arrival had filled the long-standing gap in communication within the Dongshen Arena.

“All right, coordination will be handled by Yin Chen. I’ll spend some time cultivating my order,” Tianming said.

From that day onward, every Nullity god within the Dongshen Arena changed. They became smarter and more perceptive, often able to see through others’ intentions at a glance. Those who tried to bully them soon realized that the group had already united tightly together.

Under these circumstances, their chances of winning quintessence herb through wagers steadily increased.

That was the effect of Yin Chen the “data monster.” No schemer could never outthink that single insect!

Tianming had always believed Yin Chen’s greatest strength wasn’t its replication or forms, but its computational prowess. It might stutter when it spoke, but in the span of an instant, it could process more data than any cosmic god alive.

Its talents shone to their fullest within the Dongshen Arena.

And in the blink of an eye, more than ten years had passed.
