Chapter 4160 - Beginning of War
Chapter 4160 - Beginning of War
The pope looked Tianming deeply in the eyes and thought about how the flameyellow voidkin slaughtered tens of millions of wonderians from the Ten Desolate Starforges and recalled the tens of millions of divine wonders that Moran now possessed and found his confidence in Tianming growing. He even believed that Tianming was only able to obtain everything that he had, including the Xi Hwa Ghoul Army, as a direct result of being of benefit to Moran. Everything that was weird about him made sense now!
"So, the ancestor has been pulling strings behind the scenes in the Primordial Sands all along! Maybe the Xiavoid Stareye was due to her influence at all! Tian Jiu's return will no doubt lead to great chaos and panic in the Eightpart Pantheons, so we have to let her swallow up the wonderians first before all that goes down so that we get a huge head start!"
No matter what Tianming said, the rest of them had already made up their minds about the matter. With Moran done saying what she had to, she vanished before their eyes. As the mastermind behind the scenes, she shouldn't appear that often to maintain an air of mystery, after all.
With Moran having said her piece, Tianming relaxed and smiled. "Ahem, everyone, please rise."
"Yes..." The pope and the rest got up, no longer feeling as nervous now that Moran was away.
"Ancestor Li..." Tian Jue observed Tianming closely, envying him for enjoying the ancestor's deep love. What kind of karma could he have accrued over so many lifetimes to be in a position like that? He even had his own nova-source world. Though they were dripping with envy, they didn't dare to be jealous. Even if they had a chance to be the ancestor's lover, they wouldn't dare take it. They just found it a little unbearable that their lofty ancestor fell in love with a spring chicken like him.
If these fellas find out that their precious ancestor is only one of my concubines, they'd no doubt be puking so hard that their organs would fly out... Tianming thought about how he was considered an ancestor to the kunlan primalwingers and the Tian Jiu Cult and didn't feel too good about it. "Well, it can't hurt to be close to mature, powerful women, am I right?"
"Good idea! Next time, I'll go visit some grave sites to see if I can find some 'Mummies I'd Like to Fondle,'" Ying Huo said.
Tianming ignored the snide comment and turned sternly towards Tian Jue. "Have you internalized what my beloved just said?"
"I have! I have!" Hearing Tianming call Moran 'beloved' made their organs bleed and heads ring. It felt like they were in a fever dream where their precious object of worship was being defiled by a pig. The pope took a deep breath and saluted Tianming. "In the future, our ancestor shall be in your care, Ancestor Li."
"Future? Don't you mean from now on?" Tianming asked, smiling.
The pope almost broke down. His eyes shook for a while before he was able to say, "I meant to say that, yes... From now on..."
"Ah, it was just my misunderstanding, then! How awkward... I thought you were talking about our little love affair there... After all, you should know that my beloved didn't start off this powerful. She used to be my size, you see, and only recently did she reach ten thousand meters--"
"Stop!" Tian Jue interrupted Tianming. "Let's... let's talk business."
"Business?" Tianming decided to stop teasing them. "Alright. Let me summarize it for you. From now on, I, you and the primalwingers from Grand Jiang, Grand Chen and Grand Lin are allies! There will be no rift among us!"
"Understood." Tian Jue nodded. At the very least, he wouldn't have any bone to pick with Tianming. What he didn't know was that Tianming had also sorted out the situation at Grand Jiang too. In fact, his daughter was already sort of born on that side.
"Our enemy is the Eightpart Pantheons and their dogs, including Empress Xia and the Feng, Yue and Meng primalwingers. From now on, there will be no third faction in the struggle for the Primordial Sands, only us against them."
"That's right! Of course, we keep them in the dark about our alliance for an opportunity to break through," Tian Jue said.
"That makes sense. They are not aware of the existence of my beloved either. Even if they learn that we're allied up, they might think that it's only done for convenience."
"That's right!" The pope and his paladins seemed much more invigorated now that they were talking about serious business.
"Everyone, I want you to understand that by following Tian Jiu, what you'll get won't just be limited to three maniverse-class worlds, understood?" Tianming added.
"Ancestor Li, rest assured. We have set our sights higher now and are incredibly confident about our prospects," Tian Jue said loyally. This was a huge change in their mindset. They used to be suicidal radicals, but they had become mighty idealists.
"Very well. Then, I'll brief you all about the first phase of the plan."
"Go ahead."
"Currently, the Eightpart Pantheons are on their way here. However, we have formed an airtight alliance and unified our forces. We'll be able to assemble our forces and attack them right as they arrive before they have the time to prepare!"
Tian Jue shot a passionate look at Tianming. "I like this plan! To be honest, I was worried that you would be the scheming type, but that doesn't really suit our style. We are descendants of Tian Jiu, after all!"
"That's right. As Tian Jiu's chosen man, I'd like to think that I embody this attitude as well," Tianming said.
Tian Jue kept the blood vomit from regurgitating outwards and smiled. "Ancestor Li, are we going to attack Grand Xian Voidback right away? I am very familiar with that place. Now that Empress Xia has gathered all the imperials there, they have hundreds of millions of cosmic gods and countless astral gods. Though their world has collapsed, their astralguard formation is still working to a certain extent, making an attack on their lair rather difficult to carry out."
"I know. Not to mention, Lord Yue, Feng Linxue and the rest sent a group of people there to welcome the Eightpart Pantheons, making it pretty heavily guarded. The cost of failure is too high. They'd retaliate right away," Tianming said.
"Are you saying we should attack the Feng, Meng and Yue stars? Grand Yue's force of ten million has already been wiped out by you and they have less than twenty million remaining. Grand Feng just went through a battle as well and their forces aren't at their prime. Logically speaking, we should be able to attack both on our own and take them over. The problem is that they'd definitely take the Windgod Star Staff away. Even if we defeat their forces, we won't be able to take over the world properly."
"Who said we need to attack the stars? Pope, are you forgetting the biggest factor in astral wars?" Tianming asked.
"It's people! Without anyone, their astralguard formations wouldn't last! We'd be able to take it down easily!"
"That's right! These three worlds dared to betray the primalwingers and sell out to the Eightpart Pantheons, even going so far to welcome them personally, huh? Then don't blame me for barging into their homes! We shall each take twenty million cosmic-god essences as hostages!"
