Beastmaster of the Ages

Chapter 4143 - The Battle of Four Armies!

Chapter 4143 - The Battle of Four Armies!

A majestic voice thundered in the ears of the Tian Jiu Cult as their pope, a black and white figure, appeared. With the Ten Paladins, he took his place at the head of the wonder army, ready to lead them in battle.

The Tian Jiu Cult unleashed its final, most powerful strike. This attack delivered a terrifying challenge to Grand Feng's brittle defenses, their unstoppable force reminiscent of steel-clad cavalrymen charging into unarmed infantry.

"The pope!" Cries of fear loomed over the kunlan primalwingers.

"Lord Yue!" Faced with the oppressive presence of the ten-thousand-meter-tall astral giant, their only hope was Lord Yue.

"He’s finally here!" Feng Linxue's eyes turned red as she clenched the Windgod Star Staff in her hand, her voice trembling.

"Yes, he’s finally appeared." Lord Yue fiddled with the gold transmission stone on his finger, which bore the mark of a blazing phoenix. He stood in front of Feng Linxue, a smile slowly spreading across his lips.

This was undoubtedly the most tumultuous moment since the beginning of the war. The entire battlefront was disintegrating. The final line of defense trembled, threatening to give way under the Tian Jiu Cult's bombardment.

"Shouldn’t you act now?" Feng Linxue gazed tearfully at the towering figure before her.

"Yes, it's time to act!" Lord Yue’s towering body spun, and the white, eight-thousand-meter-long curved blade in his hand carved a deadly arc towards Feng Linxue. His attack was swift, fierce, and ruthless.

"Lord Yue..." A tremor ran through her, her gaze fixed in disbelief on the man with whom she had shared millenia of unspoken affection.

For him, she had remained unmarried, waiting until he finally spoke the words that would bring them together. Instead of the love she sought, he inflicted the most profound and brutal wound during her most difficult moment, when she needed his support. Paralyzed by shock, she simply stared, her widened eyes never leaving the imposing man. Her heart had already broken long before the weapon could even touch her.

Her eyes dimmed, their luster fading into gray. The blade struck her, severing her right arm completely. Lord Yue tore the Windgod Star Staff away from her lifeless limb, sealing it with starlight!

"Got it!" he said excitedly to the gold transmission stone.

"Got it..." Feng Linxue stared blankly at the unfamiliar excitement in his eyes. She had only ever known him as cold and detached.

Her gaze swept across the transmission stone bearing the familiar phoenix pattern. At that moment, Feng Linxue's icy gaze faltered, revealing the depth of her shock.

Her heart withered and her eyes turned hollow. Suddenly, all the pieces of the puzzle fell into place–the past clues, confusions, and his erratic attitudes. She had assumed their union was forbidden because they belonged to different clans, which prevented any further progress between them. And yet, he was involved with the Grand Xia Voidback Hole. In this moment, millennia of dedication was shattered and ridiculed.

"Lord Yue, you're so cruel!" Feng Linxue's voice swept like a chilling gust of despair.

Glancing calmly at her, Lord Yue said, "Scram."

That single, careless word exemplified his ruthlessness.

"Haha..." Feng Lingxue let out a scornful laugh as she stared at Lord Yue with grief and indignation. "For an outsider’s affections, you offered the lives of Grand Feng and our home. Your behavior is truly disgusting! Anyone who has ever respected you would be ashamed of themselves!”

"It doesn't matter." Lord Yue smiled, waving the Windgod Star Staff in his hand. The astralguard formation was now under his control.

His every word and gesture stirred a violent rage. However, Feng Linxue suddenly retreated. In response to her call, Grand Feng’s cosmic gods converged from every direction, assembling behind her.

"Starlord Feng, what happened?" Pu Fengyun asked. Beside him were Feng Buhuo, Meng Xinlan, and others. Just as the Tian Jiu Cult was about to deliver its final blow, Feng Linxue urgently summoned them here?

"He attacked me, severed and seized my arm, and told Empress Xia to strike!" Overcome with grief and rage, she was covered in ice and snow, like a vengeful winter goddess.

"What..."

Pu Fengyun, Feng Buhuo, Meng Xinlan, and the other leaders of the primalwingers stared at Lord Yue in disbelief, their hearts shattering.

Of course, they wouldn’t believe it at first, especially not Pu Fengyun! But then they saw the Windgod Star Staff in Lord Yue’s hand and his cold, heartless expression. In spite of Feng Linxue’s damning accusation, he showed complete disregard for their judgment. When he took this step, his only consideration was the promise he had made ten thousand years ago.

At this moment, tragic news arrived.

"A force of a thousand cosmic gods, each at least seventh level, has appeared outside the formation! Empress Xia of the Grand Xia imperials is leading them."

This was a battle report, not a rumor. The oriole appeared at the most strategic moment!

"Lord Yue!!" Pu Fengyun, Feng Buhuo, and Meng Xinlan's faces turned pale as they stared at him in disbelief.

"Why would you do this..."

Consumed by despair, the primalwingers felt as if a thousand blades were twisting inside them. They had rejected Tianming, the outsider, treating him with suspicion and mistrust. Yet it was their own kind, their respected leader, who delivered the most brutal betrayal when they were at their most vulnerable.

Despair fell over them like a shroud. Certain that the end was near, their hearts trembled with fear. With the Windgod Star Staff taken, who now controlled the astralguard formation?

It was clearly Empress Xia!

"Grand Feng is doomed!" Pu Fengyun's heart trembled.

Faced with the crowd's questioning, Lord Yue simply looked at them with a cold expression, unwilling to speak. He turned to leave, trying to control the staff. Only a few steps away, the staff exploded with a deafening bang.

Lord Yue's eyes widened. All that remained in his hand were shattered ice crystals.

"Feng Linxue!" He turned abruptly, staring intently at the icy woman. "Is this Windgod Star Staff a fake?"

"Yes." Feng Linxue sneered. "With everyone's attention fixed on the Windgod Star Staff during the war, I'd be a fool to carry the real one."

"You!" Lord Yue glared at her, white-hot flames erupting in his eyes.

Feng Linxue scoffed. "You’ve turned against your own for a foreign woman. Your evil deeds will bring about your end!"
