Chapter 4116 - This Is My Daughter!
Chapter 4116 - This Is My Daughter!
Jiang Tianzhou remained silent for a long time after hearing Tianming’s words. Trusting Tianming was risky as they had only met today. His knowledge of Tianming was limited to Jiang Feifei's words and news from the Ten Desolate Starforges. The geniuses of the Primordial Sands knew all too well the extent of Tianming’s true strength, so they dismissed the reports of him defeating Ming Xingwang and other elites. They were convinced the Eightpart Pantheons had deliberately fabricated the story to mislead them.
Some time later, Jiang Tianzhou finally directed his searing gaze toward Tianming. "Many are skeptical of your accomplishment in the Ten Desolate Starforges. Would you be willing to demonstrate that power?"
Jiang Tianzhou added, "Don't take this the wrong way, but it’s hard to believe that a genius under five hundred years old could transform into a super cosmic god of the Upper Star Ruin in such a short time, let alone defeat those who have cultivated for many millennia."
Tianming smiled. "Of course, I understand completely."
Tianming wasted no time. Jiang Tianzhou could distinguish a genius from an elite with just a simple demonstration. As a starlord, Jiang Tianzhou possessed a level of perception that Jiang Feifei lacked, so how could he fail to recognize the truth?
With the cosmic god embryo in hand, Tianming soared into the air. The faith of countless people across the entire Upper Star Ruin transformed into an endless golden-black galactic net which converged on his body. An intense light erupted from him, instantly engulfing Jiang Tianzhou. The golden-black glow continued to spread out, enveloping the vast city in splendor.
"Senior Jiang..."
Tianming's gold and black eyes shone upon Jiang Tianzhou. With just a wave of his hand, the surging omnisentient power formed a stream of air that swept up the starlord. Even with strength that rivaled experts like the Cobalt Overfiend and Ninefold Wargod, Jiang Tianzhou was still shaken by the golden-black current and stumbled two steps back.
"That's enough!" Eyes trembling, he looked deeply at Tianming. "I understand now. While your cultivation matches that of Feifei and your peers, you're able to harness a terrifying power that doesn't belong to you. Where does this power come from?"
"Senior Jiang, all you need to know is that it's always there and it won't disappear or fail." Tianming said with a smile, withdrawing the divine light.
"How extraordinary!" Jiang Tianzhou was still overwhelmed with shock. "If you’re willing to protect our ancient ancestor, the Primordial Sands will stand a better chance."
"Of course. I'm here because of her." Tianming glanced at the little golden star in his hand with a doting smile.
"Alright." Staring at Tianming intently, Jiang Tianzhou said, "Successor of the imperial star... So you carry the hope of reviving the flameyellow divinities? They must have left important legacies to you."
"This is why I’m confident in reviving Flameyellow, regardless of the Eightpart Pantheons’ immense power and influence. Perhaps the Primordial Sands is the best starting point," Tianming said seriously.
"I’m in awe." Jiang Tianzhou took a deep breath. "Honestly, you’ve almost convinced me. Your ideas are exciting, but in reality... I’m not confident I can unite the Primordial Sands and get them to fight for your grand revival. I can't control what the other maniverse-class worlds think. In fact, I’m not even sure I can convince Grand Jiang. We’ve enjoyed peace for too long. Most people wouldn’t even know what war is if it weren’t for Grand Xia’s predicament.”
"Peace is wonderful. Who wouldn’t want peace? The enemy gathers at your doorstep while you revel in your pleasures. Grand Xia is being greedy, wanting both survival and territory. But they aren't the only ones after that tempting piece of meat—the Eightpart Pantheons want it even more. It's plain to see what the Ten Desolate Starforges are planning, based on their reaction. The universe is ever-changing and you can’t protect them forever. Growing complacent in peacetime is no different from castrating yourselves," Tianming said calmly.
"This I understand, but most people only care about their own interests. Perhaps they think that the collapse of their nation is of no consequence. Why fight when the Eightpart Pantheons will grant them a new life in exchange for their surrender?"Jiang Tianzhou let out an awkward chuckle. "But I digress. Right now, the Tian Jiu Cult represents an immediate and pressing threat, whereas the Eightpart Pantheons are a remote concern.”
The Primordial Sands had prepared for a decisive battle with the Eightpart Pantheons. Who could’ve predicted the flameyellow voidkin’s move? Although the Primordial Sands avoided war, Jiang Tianzhou had experienced a great deal—civil strife, betrayal, entrapment, and panic. The people were afflicted by widespread chaos and unrest
Though their armies rushed to the front lines, individuals across the various maniverse-class stars were the first to defect. They were prepared to capture cities and universal cities, disrupt the astralguard formations, and surrender to the Eightpart Pantheons. Their fear of death outweighed any concern for their nation's fate or the potential enslavement of their descendants. They prioritized their own survival above all else.
This was the reason Jiang Tianzhou was so deeply moved.
"Senior Jiang.” Tianming said, cupping his fist. "I understand your point. Your trust is all I need. If you agree, the Flameyellow Imperial Star will be moved near Grand Jiang and concealed for the time being. I’ll only lay my cards on the table once I've convinced everyone."
Should Jiang Tianzhou refuse, Tianming would face a significant predicament. He might be seen as the antagonist responsible for instigating war and incur the resentment of the local populace before an alliance could be forged.
"All I have to do is trust you?" Jiang Tianzhou glanced at him.
"Yes."
However, Jiang Tianzhou didn’t agree. Instead, his eyes were once again drawn to the little golden star in Tianming's hand. "Pardon the intrusion, but what is your connection to our ancient ancestor?"
Tianming froze for a moment before glancing at Jiang Tianzhou with a strange look in his eyes. "Senior Jiang, are you sure you want to know the truth?" He asked.
"Tell me." Jiang Tianzhou nodded.
"Are you sure? You might find it hard to accept," Tianming replied.
"Speak!" A sense of foreboding welled up in his heart.
In response, Tianming hugged the cosmic god embryo tightly and said, "This is my daughter."
