Chapter 4086 - Star Devouring

The Sun was completely dwarfed by the Ninefold Hellstar, having become much dimmer after falling back down to the infinitum class, which made it even more comical when it came charging out of the Flameyellow Divine Path toward the massive world.

"Is it trying to kill itself?"

"Who's controlling that nova source world?"

"They're insane!"

In a clash of stars, there would be no survivors aside from cosmic gods. The Ninefold Hellstar was populated entirely by cosmic gods, so nobody worried about its denizens. But in the Upper Star Ruin, smaller worlds like those were filled with lots of lifeforms weaker than cosmic gods! All the onlookers blanked out, eyes widening at the unbelievable sight.

Right as they thought the Sun would be smashed into pieces, the Ninefold Hellstar's astralguard formation suddenly shut off! The black clouds above began to part, revealing the radiant universe and mound cities on the surface. Once the cloaking formation was removed, the dark Ninefold Hellstar appeared like a glowing treasure.

The Sun's changes, on the other hand, terrified those who saw them. The orbiters witnessed as the tiny Sun turned into a sea urchin as spears emerged from all over the place. The crimson-gold pillars stretched up into the sky like world-scale swords. Those that were pointed toward the Ninefold Hellstar seemed to emanate killing intent. Though the Sun looked like a newborn infant, it was wielding a sharp blade!

The astralguard formation of Ninefold Hellstar deactivated itself with a great rumble, allowing the devas within to finally see the outside world. Finally, they were able to use their transmission stones once more. However, most of them didn't even bother when they saw the gigantic ball of flame that bared its fangs toward their home.

"What's going on?!" The countless devas felt as if lightning struck them. This was something beyond the wildest of their imagination. Not even the brightest of minds could resist freezing up at the sight of the flaming Sun so close.

Though the Sun had yet to descend, a massive earthquake like never before transpired on the surface of the Ninefold Hellstar. The entire maniverse-class world trembled as countless mountains and crevices collapsed into one another. Some whole continents even sank straight into the ground. Amidst these massive geological changes, a massive black vortex appeared above the Ninefold Hellstar and began to expel nova source outward nonstop!

"Oh no! The Ninefold Hellstar popped!" The devas immediately rose into the sky to get a better view, only for their faces to begin to contort. This was the world they had inherited for countless generations! What could possibly be happening to it?

"It didn't pop on its own! Li Tianming opened a hole in the fusion formation!"

"What's he doing? Does he want to destroy the Ninefold Hellstar?"

"How dare he?!"

A nightmare was unfolding within the boundaries of reality. As people cursed away, the Sun didn't stop for a moment and continued its course toward the Ninefold Hellstar. It was only then that the devas realized that the Sun wasn't 'falling' out of control; it was actively going in for the kill!

"Run!" The cosmic gods near the gigantic vortex flew away for their lives, but it was too late for many. As the Sun had its astralguard formation active and everyone had taken refuge within the Sky Palace Formation, they were safe from the clash of two stars that even cosmic gods wouldn't be able to survive head-on. The lances that sprouted from the Sun were aimed toward the leaky opening of the black world.

"Go!" The Sun's lances went in for the thrust that shattered continents and created storms, plunging deeply into the Ninefold Hellstar. The two worlds of drastically different sizes stuck to each other closely, though it was a gentle touch that didn't disturb those who were in the Sun. Even so, it made for quite the majestic and unthinkable sight.

"Heavens...."

"What is that tiny world trying to do?"

The folks in the orbiter worlds had no idea that the Ninefold Hellstar had already endured one round of massacres. Only the cosmic gods within knew that Tianming was behind this!

"This star might be the world of the flameyellow remnants!"

"Let's charge in there and take a look!"

It looked to the devas as if the Ninefold Hellstar had a cancerous tumor growing out of it. Many daring astral giants had already gone to the Sun to check, but even more of them had been disoriented by the massive clash. Right as they got near the Sun, their home beneath them began to rumble even more wildly this time, as if it was spasming in pain!

"What is going on...." The devas stared at the ground beneath their feet as the solar lances sucked away the black nova source from their world. It was truly a mind-blowing sight to behold. It progressed at a blinding rate far beyond the expectations of the spectators, scaring them into paralysis!

"It's devouring the Ninefold Hellstar and growing larger!"

"How can this be...."

Yet another thing that shattered their worldview was taking place. The power of the Flameyellow of old was something that had been lost to history, as a result of the constant campaign run by the Eightpart Pantheons to erase their former might to make the people forget. It was such that those that witnessed the Sun's appearance didn't even know who or what it represented!

Tianming didn't hold back against them at all. He watched the Sun devour the Ninefold Hellstar at the intersection of the two worlds, widening the Sun's fusion formation for even more absorption! It took merely three seconds for it to return to the fortuna class, and it only continued to expand.

"Keep going!" The Ninefold Hellstar shrank at a rate that was visible to the naked eye. It didn't take long before the two stars were the same size; the Ninefold Hellstar had fallen to the fortuna class! Losing so much nova source caused its fusion formation to shrink, causing many continental plates to collapse. Cities crumbled in tow, turning the world into a hellscape instantly.

"The Sun should be able to reach the maniverse class with this.... Huh?" He suddenly looked into the distance, where an entrance to the wormhole expressway opened. "Someone's coming?"
