Chapter 4073 - It's Your Turn

Tianming didn't make a sound and merely listened to the couple talk.

"Cultivation is the most important. Let's go." As expected, they left on their own accord a few days later, leaving nobody to guard the lake. Even though the whole palace was shrouded in many defensive formations, that didn't stop a galactic thief like Tianming. Plundering was his innate talent!

Once the minor hell king left, Tianming snuck toward the Sacredstar Spirit. The flower was somewhat taller than him while the lake was surrounded by around a thousand layers of formations. Merely the slightest touch would be enough to alert the entire Ninefold Universe City, which was why nobody bothered to even stand guard there.

However, it was no trouble for Tianming. He had Yin Chen take the watch while he used his Sky Plundering Hand and activated the eye of the centuroptic beast to find the threads in the formation, pulling them apart and sneaking in unrestricted. An hour later, Tianming finally grabbed the Sacredstar Spirit and gave it a light pull, plucking it out of the lake despite the many formations.

"Done deal." With the treasure in hand, he snuck out of the palace and left Ninefold Universe City openly at a leisurely pace. When he used his transmission stone to let Ming Yufu know that he had gotten the flower, she was absolutely floored.

"Just like that?! I didn't hear any commotion from Ninefold Universe City at all!" she exclaimed.

"Too easy." Tianming didn't bother to mention his peculiar hand. "It truly is a vast world. It's a shame that it doesn't belong to me!"

Like the Sacredstar Spirit, if it didn't belong to him, he would make it his! He flew across the darkly majestic world with a sense of conquest and joy that most normal people couldn't even imagine. It didn't take long before he was back with Ming Yufu.

"Did you really get the Sacredstar Spirit? Show me!" she said excitedly.

"No way." He gave her head a knock. "Now, it's your turn!"

"Fine!" She took a deep breath nervously. "I beg you, please make sure you succeed after you act! Otherwise, I'll be dead!"

"I don't need you to tell me that." This was incredibly important to Tianming, so he wouldn't mess around. It wasn't just about himself. Instead, it was the most crucial part of his strategy!

"Follow me." Ming Yufu led the way, walking in a sensual manner. They were at the mountainous wilderness, surrounded by mountains tens of millions of meters tall. There were barely any other people in the vicinity.

"It's hard to imagine that the entrance to the Ghoulsource would be around here, right? I thought that it would be in Ninefold Universe City at first. I didn't think it'd be in a backwater! If I hadn't asked my dad where it was, I wouldn't have known." Eventually, Ming Yufu stopped in front of a valley where a really normal-looking altar could be seen.

"Is this it?" Tianming asked.

"That's right." She looked at him nervously once more. "Are you sure you're prepared? If you're not sure, you can still cultivate for a few decades. I'm worried you won't be able to defeat my dad."

"Do you hate him that much?" Tianming asked.

"I don't hate him, I just love myself! Hehe!" She gave him a thumbs-up. "The most important part about being a specter is self-love!"

"Amazing." Tianming breathed in when he was ready. "Alright, let's begin!"

"Alright. Stand here." Ming Yufu jumped onto the altar and took out a gold transmission stone. A projection appeared above it, looking like a mighty cosmic god shrouded in black mist.

"Daddy!" Ming Yufu called out with a coquettish voice that sent chills down Tianming's spine.

"What is it? Let it out. I'm busy," said a voice from the other end.

"Look around me! Do you know where I'm at?" Ming Yufu showed him the altar.

"Why did you come all the way here?" Ming Xingwang said, somewhat angry.

"Dad, I have something I want to say to you."

"What is it?"

"I got some insight lately and I'll be able to break through soon! It's an important time for me, but I lack just one final key! Aren't you the starlord of the Ninefold Hellstar now? Can you let me in here to cultivate too? Let me have a chance—"

"No!" he interrupted before waiting for her to finish. "The Ghoulsource is not somewhere for children to play around in."

"Why can the minor hell king enter then? Is it because his mom's stronger than you, Dad?" She blew a raspberry with a look of speechlessness."

"Don't make things up. I'm still not the real starlord."

"Even so, you're still the acting one! Since you're already in there, let your beloved daughter in too! It's not like anybody else needs to know! Dad, you're becoming more and more of a coward!" She was already starting to fake-cry.

"You little...." Ming Xingwang began to hesitate.

"Please, Daddy! This is really important to me! It's not like I have bad talent, but the reason I'm always one step behind them is because of the Ghoulsource! Are you willing to let me be their stepping stone for the rest of my life? I don't care! If you don't let me in, I'll tell mom you're having an aff—"

"Shut up!" Ming Xingwang roared. After a moment of silence, he said, "Fine. Come in."

The altar began to move as Tianming's expression turned cold.
