Chapter 3774 - Spinwheel Ghoul, Manifest
Chapter 3774 - Spinwheel Ghoul, Manifest
The Zhan Mausoleum was clearly located somewhere in Wargod Haven. Zhantian Feng seemed really cold, but from the way he looked at Zi Zhen, he was clearly interested in her talents.
"You should return to the ship," Tianming told Zi Zhen.
"What about you?" she asked, concerned.
"I'll cover us!" Tianming calmly looked at Zhantian Feng. "Don't worry. Nobody but cosmic gods can kill me as I am now." That came from his confidence as the Galactic Emperor and his five-million-plus omnisentient threads.
"Alright!" Zi Zhen was the decisive sort. She had never cared about Zhantian Feng in the first place and immediately retreated to the tomb, which then closed its doors.
Tianming had Ji Ji activate its divine astralship formation. The nine dragon heads roared and cruised away, leaving Tianming and Zhantian Feng behind. He had his lifebound beasts with him, too!
Zhantian Feng's face turned even grimmer. How could those two actually dare to ignore the threats of someone like him?! "Do you think I'll just let you leave?" The eighty-meter-tall giant suddenly moved and turned into a gray astral storm, charging toward the Ninedragon Imperial Tomb.
"Where do you think you're going?" Lightning flashed as a bolt shot toward Zhantian Feng, forming a grand lightning formation that blocked his way.
Zhantian Feng merely smirked and intended to slam his way past Tianming. There were two ring-discs at his chest, one that spun left and the other, right. They looked incredibly eerie. The cosmoforce of an eighth-level overflower specter seemed boundless, clearly surpassing that of seventh-level overflowers. The gray bats with human heads that grew on his body were actually formed of pure cosmoforce.
"Arrogant, are we?" Tianming felt completely ignored! He smirked and let his omnisentient power surge. Faced with the giant, he rose high up and sent a kick flying toward it, containing the power of Triflair Primordial World and Primordial Shockblast. When Zhantian Feng took the hit with his abdomen, he was shocked to find that he had been sent flying back tens of thousands of meters! Many astrons near his abdomen had been blasted apart, revealing a bloody hole. Though it would be a significant injury for most people, it wasn't even worth bringing up to Zhantian Feng.
"You truly are an oddly monstrous insect," Zhantian Feng said, eyes locking on Tianming.
"And you can't even block an insect. So what does that make you? A bubble? A cotton bud? A weak egg?" Tianming smirked. He didn't even turn back as the Ninedragon Imperial Tomb began accelerating. All he needed to do was buy some time and Zhantian Feng wouldn't be able to stop them from leaving.
"How noisy." Zhantian Feng's eyes were like gray pools. His voice turned even more chill and he tried charging toward the ship a few more times after noticing it leave, but Tianming rebuffed him at every attempt!
"Not even a maniverse-class eighth-level overflower can break through, I see," Tianming said, smugly smiling. Even though his strikes only lightly wounded Zhantian Feng, Zhantian Feng couldn't even hurt him. It was clear who was more embarrassed. The five million cultivators from the Three Great Cults watched all this, dumbfounded.
"That monstrous stinkbug was even able to hold back one of the five most talented people in Wargod Haven!"
"I wonder how old he is. He doesn't seem that old to me! Probably not even two thousand!"
"What the hell is going on?!"
Countless people felt aggrieved beyond belief. It was one thing for Tianming to completely overwhelm the entire Middlekin Star Ruin, but he couldn't even be stopped by one of the top five geniuses of Wargod Haven! All those complaints sounded humiliating to Zhantian Feng's ears and he finally grew angry.
"It seems like you want me to open the gates of hell no matter what...." Zhantian Feng had learned that physical battle arts could barely hit Tianming. Even if the strikes connected, he wouldn't be able to kill him. The same was the case with abilities. However, he suddenly stopped in front of Tianming.
"Watch out!" Yin Chen warned on behalf of Long Qian. What Zhantian Feng was about to do would no doubt be powerful!
Zhantian Feng's two hell-rings began rapidly spinning, sending a gray storm toward Tianming. Then they audibly creaked, as if huge doors were being opened.
"What the fuck?!" Tianming wasn’t shocked by what the specter was doing, but by the rumbling of the gray coffin in his lifebound space! It was Eighth! Its gray, dead-fish eyes seemed to slightly move. Then a feeling of numbness flooded Tianming's body, seemingly tearing him apart. A terrifying bloodline energy flowed from the coffin in the lifebound space straight into his body.
"Holy shit!" Tianming looked down at his chest and saw one dead-fish eye about twenty centimeters across. It seemed to connect to a completely different dimension; one look gave his soul the chills. Fortunately, he didn't have to keep looking at it. However, anyone else would see the eye on his chest, which was barely obscured by the other beasts in his body.
"Eighth! What's going on...?" During Tianming's moment of shock, Zhantian Feng's hell-rings reached the maximum speed of rotation. Then a gray world door manifested from his body, out of which came a terrifying aura.
"Spinwheel ghoul, manifest!" Zhantian Feng howled, though it didn't sound like his voice. It was sharper and harsher. An incredibly sinister aura suddenly descended as a face appeared on the hell-rings on his chest. It was the face of a ghoul, densely covered in eyes that looked like tiny black beans. It had a bloody mouth with a long, creepy tongue that was similarly covered in little black eyes that looked around seemingly at random.
"A spinwheel ghoul from hell-rings.... What is it, even?" Tianming had a feeling that it was an ultimate technique that only elite devas could perform. Xing Baizhan hadn't used anything like that!
The spinwheel ghoul felt like an otherworldly lifeform that had some kind of contracted relationship with the devas. It appeared to live near the specter’s hell-rings and increased his combat ability somewhat. The three-headed, six-armed, and hundred-meter-tall Zhantian Feng who was covered in white larvae was made even more terrifying with that ghastly face on his chest.
"Die!" Zhantian Feng and the spinwheel ghoul focused their hatred on Tianming, whose dead-fish eye glared back in return.
Before the spinwheel ghoul even made a move, it loudly hissed and retreated into Zhantian Feng's chest, automatically closing up the hell-rings. The secret technique that he’d planned to use against Tianming had vanished just like that!
"Spinwheel ghoul! You...!" It was the first time Zhantian Feng had encountered a situation like that, leaving him completely dumbfounded. Tianming looked down at his chest and noticed that the dead-fish eye seemed rather unhappy about it, but it soon vanished. He really didn't know what to make of it all. "What the fuck?!"
"Let's leave first! The ship is about to reach full speed and we won't be able to catch up soon!" Meow Meow urged.
Tianming looked up and saw two other fortuna-class ships flying their way, so the Ninedragon Imperial Tomb had to leave right away.
"Zhantian Feng! I'll wipe you out next time!" Tianming turned and used Fiveway Blitzrun to catch up to the ship. Does Eighth's hatching condition have something to do with the ghouls inside the devas' hell-rings?
