Chapter 3710 - Pick One
Chapter 3710 - Pick One
The dragonians appearance and aura seemed similar to Long Chen's; it was clear that they were of the same race. All of them seemed domineering, steady, and had deep gazes. Opposite them were two divine astralships.
"Fortuna class!" Tianming's eyes widened at the surprising sight of two fortuna-class ships. One was shaped like a silver scorpion, complete with pincers and a stinger. The other was shaped like a circular gear, almost like the ships of the Star Hunters, glowing brightly and radiantly.
"These are the ships of the Scorchmoon and Blazestar Cults!" Long Chen said. The Scorchmoon Cult was a faction that belonged to one of the three fortuna-class worlds of the Sundown Pantheon, put in charge of harvesting middlekin stars. The Blazestar Cult, on the other hand, was affiliated with the Starfall Pantheon. Both cults were backed by incredible factions from the Eightpart Pantheons.
"They'll destroy the Dragonsburrow!" Tianming cried before one of the ships, the Blazestar, emitted a thick beam of starlight.
"Nooo!" Long Chen cried. No dragonoid of Dragonsburrow could bear to see their home destroyed.
Tianming saw Long Chen's elder sister amidst the crowd, a fifth-level overflower. She was clad in black armor and appeared dashingly beautiful. She wore her hair in a long ponytail and sported a powerful, heroic figure. From her unyielding gaze, it was no wonder that she was able to stand as a powerful leader! However, there was nothing she could do about the fortuna-class astralships' bombardment. Even though the dragonoids could simply avoid the blasts, the Dragonsburrow was completely in the line of fire. Would the home they had spent so long building be blown to smithereens at the end of the day?
"There’s a few hundred middlekin stars inside! They're going to take them away!" That was the result of their efforts over recent years. If it weren’t for those middlekin stars, there was no way they would have stayed there like a sitting duck.
"Middlekin stars?" Tianming immediately accelerated the Ninedragon Imperial Tomb.
As the tens of thousands of overflower dragnoids tragically avoided the destructive beams, a loud explosion rang out. All of a sudden, they saw a nine-headed mechanical dragon charging through space, slamming its huge draconic tail against the gear-shaped ship! The collision was so heavy that many shards were sent flying from the gear-shaped ship. The Blazestar's divine astralship formation was greatly compromised, causing the beam it had fired to be diverted upward. Such was the power of the fortuna-class Ninedragon Imperial Tomb.
"What happened?!"
"A dragon!"
The dragnoids were immediately taken aback, the black-armored woman included. They all stared at the magnificent dragon-shaped astralship, one with nine heads! She was rather familiar with nine-headed dragons, but not a ship shaped like one.
"Who's come to help us?"
"No idea...."
The dragonoids remained where they were, unmoving.
"What shameless fool out there is asking for a beating?! Who dares resist the Blazestar Cult?!" came the roars of countless elites from the ship as it was sent flying.
"You're the one who's asking for it!" While Tianming wasn't powerful enough to fight them in person, he didn't fear a ship-to-ship battle. However, he didn't chase after the Blazestar as the Scorchmoon's scorpion stinger was already on a crash course with the tomb! It was an incredibly agile ship, charging toward the Ninedragon Imperial Tomb as its stinger emitted a blinding white beam of light. It was a clash between a dragon and scorpion, but the dragon was much larger!
"How dare a mere scorpion challenge us?!" Tianming gloated. He hadn't fought in the Ninedragon Imperial Tomb for quite some time. The nine-headed dragon roared as each of its heads launched a stream of dragon breath against the scorpion before biting into the scorpion itself! The surface of the giant scorpion began crumbling, causing its divine astralship formation to shake and grow unstable. The silver scorpion was completely unable to fight back as its armor collapsed more and more, causing explosions and sparks to fly.
"Holy shit!" Long Chen couldn't take his eyes off the sight of the Scorchmoon—a terrifying and awe-inspiring ship in his eyes—being beaten up so thoroughly without being able to fight back at all.
"What faction do you belong to?! How dare you trespass on the Eightpart Pantheons' Middlekin Star Ruin?! This belongs to the Midsky Tristars! Antagonizing us means antagonizing the Midsky Tristars!" a woman on the Scorchmoon exclaimed.
Tianming couldn't be bothered answering her and kept the beating going. But then the Blazestar came flying in once more as its gear rapidly spun in a slicing motion.
"Watch out!" The dragonoids anxiously watched the entire thing, though their cries of warning couldn't be heard by those in the ships. The voices that had come from the Scorchmoon and Blazestar had been amplified by their divine astralship formations.
"You still dare to come?" Tianming swung the sword-shaped tail of his ship, slashing against the Blazestar once more and causing even more explosions and catastrophic damage!
"What?!" Those in the Blazestar were flabbergasted.
"What faction are you from?! Seriously!" the woman from the Scorchmoon cried out once more.
"I'm your dad!" The Ninedragon Imperial Tomb's assault pressed on, combining a flurry of nova-source blasts and close-combat attacks that the ship excelled in so much. The Scorchmoon suffered explosion after explosion; it even lost one of its pincers to the Ninedragon Imperial Tomb's bite!
"They're too powerful!" The girl in black armor, Long Qian, had a manic look in her eyes just like her younger brother. One look at the Ninedragon Imperial Tomb was enough for her to know that it definitely had something to do with their kind.
"Halt! Wait!" came the voice from the Scorchmoon. The ship had finally managed to gain some distance from the Ninedragon Imperial Tomb, thanks to the blowback of a blast, so it immediately fled. As it did, it pitifully rammed into a few pieces of debris in a most haggard fashion.
The Blazestar had lost quite a few parts and didn't seem to dare to engage any longer. While the people in the ship were powerful and didn't have to worry about being killed, their ship simply couldn't rival the Ninedragon Imperial Tomb! They couldn't afford to let their precious transport ship be destroyed, as they still had to use it to navigate through the astralscape. The two ships began their escape without hesitation.
"You’ll surely die for this!" they cried as the dragonoids watched, wide eyed and silent.
"It fought one against two... and won?"
"Who could that ship belong to?"
As countless questions flowed through the dragonoids’ minds, the Ninedragon Imperial Tomb descended before them. One of the dragon heads stretched out and opened its mouth, revealing an opening door.
