White Fern glanced sideways, his tone indifferent, "They’re all ordinary people; how can you expect anything from them?"

"True that." Wild Boar mumbled, his mouth full of food, "This suspect comes and goes without a trace; probably a pretty formidable Pet Beast."

White Fern fiddled with his newly polished nails and spoke slowly, "The captain said this suspect is either a Wind-type Pet Beast possessing speed enhancement skills or a Dark-type Pet Beast with concealment skills."

"Neither of these Pet Beasts are easy to find..." Wild Boar placed down his chopsticks with a slight sigh.

"Hard to find or not, they must be found. Captain Luo issued a military order; case must be solved within two days." White Fern slightly parted his lips and lowered his voice.

Wild Boar patted his belly and wiped the grease from the corners of his mouth with a napkin, "Keep searching, let’s hope those poor kids are alright."

Just as he was about to stand up, Wild Boar suddenly saw a familiar figure approaching and his expression rapidly transformed into a bright smile, "Advisor Chen!"

White Fern looked up blankly, then his face quickly shifted to an expression of surprise and joy, "Advisor Chen!"

"Didn’t expect to run into you guys here, quite a coincidence." Chen Yuan smiled faintly.

These two happened to be members of the seventh squad that was involved in apprehending the poaching team.

"Shouldn’t you be in Qinling?" Chen Yuan asked puzzled.

Wild Boar scratched his head, "Received a special task, said to be nearby..."

Before he could finish his words, Wild Boar suddenly recalled the confidentiality agreement and promptly shut his mouth.

White Fern quickly kicked Wild Boar with his foot and gave him a meaningful look.

Wild Boar was confused; didn’t he stop talking in time?

White Fern sighed inwardly, then smiled brightly at Chen Yuan, "Advisor Chen, please take a seat; I’ll contact the captain immediately."

Chen Yuan waved his hand, "No need, you guys carry on, I just came over to say hello."

White Fern, however, grabbed Chen Yuan, "Advisor Chen, please sit down. We actually could use your help in executing this task."

Finishing her words, White Fern turned to Wild Boar, blinking furiously.

Realizing something belatedly, Wild Boar quickly nodded, "Yes, yes, the captain must need... no, we need your help."

While Wild Boar engaged Advisor Chen, White Fern quickly dialed the phone.

The sound of the ringing phone echoed, and White Fern appeared anxious.

Captain, answer the phone!
