Beast Taming Clan: I Have a Jade Book
Chapter 1453 - 1045: Thoughts on Primordial Magnet, Celestial Dream Butterfly Valley
As for the Malachite Stone Spirit having slightly weaker Spiritual Wisdom, Ye Jingcheng didn’t consider it a major issue. After all, his main focus right now was the Mountain Spirit’s Spirit Awakening. He had no intention of cultivating the Mountain Spirit into a creature of supreme intellect.
Finally, Ye Jingcheng infused a significant amount of Treasure Light into the Mountain Spirit. As the Treasure Light flowed in, he could clearly sense the Divine Soul Fluctuation growing richer through the Soul Contract. It seemed the Treasure Book also had a remarkable effect on the Spirit Awakening of the Spirit Beast Wood Demon. He proceeded to infuse Treasure Light into the primary Spirit Beasts, Wood Demons, and Spirit Medicines.
Only when the Treasure Light was completely depleted did Ye Jingcheng exit the Grotto Heaven and return to the Primordial Magnetic Forbidden Land.
By now, dusk was approaching. The crimson setting sun blazed brightly, casting long shadows behind him.
Ye Jingcheng felt the sunlight was exceptionally warm. With a wave of his hand, he summoned a Flying Sword, collecting all the Tier Four Profound Magnetic Crystals within his line of sight into his Storage Bag.
Then, he flew toward the outer perimeter.
Of course, along the way, he tirelessly confiscated these Spirit Materials with great enthusiasm. The Ye Family was in no rush right now, and there was still some time before his Nascent Soul ceremony. Furthermore, he planned to construct a Teleportation Array here in the future. Since the Primordial Magnetic Divine Light had significantly diminished, the Primordial Magnetic Forbidden Land was considered a treasure trove. Although there was nothing in the Desert Sea that could threaten the Ye Family, securing and controlling it with a Teleportation Array would offer greater peace of mind.
By the time Ye Jingcheng returned to the Celestial Phoenix Oasis, it was already the dawn of the second day, with the first light of daybreak creeping across the sky.
The sky over the Desert Sea was naturally elegant, but now, bathed in the faint morning light, it appeared even more poetic. The Spiritual Energy in the oasis was quite robust at the moment. With a brief sweep of his Divine Sense, Ye Jingcheng discovered that several Cultivators were breaking through to the Purple Mansion on Earth Shadow Peak.
Over the years, the number of Foundation Establishment Cultivators in the Ye Family had grown significantly, and more and more of them were entering seclusion to break through to the Purple Mansion. Although the Ye Family possessed a fair amount of Purple Jade Vines, it wasn’t enough to refine large quantities of Purple Mansion Jade Liquid. Thus, for the past few years, they had to purchase one or two portions almost annually. This had become one of the family’s major expenses. Aside from buying it from Medicine King Valley, their only other option was to purchase it in the Central Domain.
However, the quantities available in the Central Domain were limited, and the prices were substantially higher. After all, Purple Mansion Jade Liquid was different from Foundation Establishment Pills, which could be refined using Demon Beast Inner Cores. Sometimes, Ye Family Members even had to rely on Celestial Spirit Qi to achieve their breakthroughs to the Purple Mansion.
Fortunately, the Ye Family still had the Five Elements Celestial Secret Technique and the Jade Beds crafted from Primordial Demon Jade. Over the years, the number of failures hadn’t been exceedingly high, but it wasn’t low either. The sheer volume of Ye Family Members attempting the breakthrough masked the actual failure rate. According to the Ye Family’s statistics, most failures were due to insufficient vitality or a lack of mental fortitude. The former issue plagued the older generation whose bodies were aging, while the latter affected the younger generation who lacked life experience and had grown up too smoothly.
Many clan members were currently waiting in the sky. Ye Jingcheng took a brief look and realized he wasn’t very familiar with any of the individuals attempting the breakthrough. They were all from the Ye Family’s Qing and Yun Generations. He decided to wait, wanting to observe the conditions of their breakthroughs firsthand. Unlike the others who dared not disturb the process, Ye Jingcheng could use either his Divine Sense or his Star Illusion Eye without affecting the breaking-through members in the slightest.
"Eleventh Ancestor!"
"Eleventh Uncle!"
Nearby clan members continuously greeted him. Ye Jingcheng nodded to each of them in acknowledgment.
After waiting for most of the day, the three clan members finally reached the critical juncture of their Purple Mansion breakthroughs. It seemed their Heart Demons were quite formidable. One wore an expression of extreme agony, another was beaming with manic joy, and the third looked profoundly depressed. A Cultivator’s Heart Demon was directly tied to their Dao Heart. Because these younger members advanced quickly and experienced little hardship, their Dao Hearts were not steadfast, making their Heart Demons correspondingly stronger.
Even with the aid of the Purple Mansion Jade Liquid and the Primordial Demon Jade Bed, Ye Jingcheng could see the three were struggling immensely. Two of them teetered on the brink of failure before finally succeeding in their breakthroughs. The last person, however, failed.
Ye Jingcheng recalled Ye Haicheng’s genealogy records. In his memory, the clan member who had just failed possessed Dual Spirit Roots. For someone with Dual Spirit Roots to fail a Purple Mansion breakthrough while being assisted by Purple Mansion Jade Liquid and Primordial Demon Jade would have been considered nearly impossible in the Ye Family of the past. But he knew this was the current reality for many of the family’s younger members.
Seeing this, Ye Jingcheng made a decision.
He headed straight for the Spirit Mountain where Ye Xuefan resided.
After all, if they didn’t implement improvements, these clan members would find it even harder to form their Golden Cores in the future, given how much they struggled with the Purple Mansion. The Ye Family could afford the losses from failed Purple Mansion attempts, but they could not bear the cost of failed breakthroughs after consuming Gold Condensing Pills. It wasn’t that their True Essence was insufficient; it was purely a lack of mental fortitude. Worse yet, members with weak mental states could bring unmitigated disasters upon the family once they left the Desert Sea and entered the Central or Eastern Domains in the future. This was something the Ye Family could not allow.
At this moment, Ye Xuefan was still consolidating his Cultivation and hadn’t yet entered seclusion to refine the Little Golden Returning Pill. With the Nascent Soul ceremony approaching and Ye Xuecang in seclusion for his own breakthrough, this elder of the Xue Generation naturally wanted to witness the day the Ye Family finally held a true Nascent Soul ceremony.
"Fourth Uncle," Ye Jingcheng said as he took out a Spirit Beast Bag.
Inside the bag was none other than the Celestial Dream Butterfly. This Celestial Dream Butterfly possessed extremely high talent. To Ye Jingcheng, it was definitely a Spirit Beast worth cultivating. Not long after birth, it had already broken through to Tier Four, and like the Vermilion Bird, it had not undergone any advancement yet. After all, it was brought down from the Spirit Realm by the family. However, for Ye Jingcheng, this Celestial Dream Butterfly was far more useful to the family as a whole. By utilizing its Illusion Array, they could cultivate the mental fortitude of their clan members. If the Heart Demons were strong, then facing them multiple times would eventually build immunity, thus strengthening their mental states.
"This..." Ye Xuefan naturally felt that it would be better for Ye Jingcheng to keep the Spirit Beast. However, after Ye Jingcheng explained the pros and cons, he nodded in delighted agreement.
If they used the Celestial Dream Butterfly to create an Illusionary Array Butterfly Valley, Ye Family members could enter it several times before attempting their Purple Mansion and Golden Core breakthroughs. This would naturally increase their chances of success. One shouldn’t underestimate this increased probability; it could save the Ye Family a massive sum of Spirit Stones and provide permanent, long-term benefits.
Of course, Ye Jingcheng didn’t immediately cancel the Soul Contract. The Celestial Dream Butterfly didn’t provide a significant boost to a Cultivator’s Cultivation; only its Illusion Array talent was formidable. Furthermore, it was exceedingly proud. With its Spiritual Wisdom, if Ye Jingcheng wasn’t controlling it, it would definitely go on strike or even flee. Only later, when it developed a deeper connection to the Ye Family, could it be transferred to another clan member, just like the Mammoth Demon King and the Three-eyed Demon King before it.
For now, the most important task was for Ye Xuefan to set up Supporting Arrays and design a suitable Celestial Dream Butterfly Valley. Naturally, designing these Supporting Arrays wouldn’t be easy. Since the Celestial Dream Butterfly was at Tier Four, an ordinary Foundation Establishment Cultivator could easily remain trapped in its illusions for hundreds of years. The array needed to be adjusted with gradient effects.
"Alright, I’ll start researching this right away. I’ll aim to have it set up before the Nascent Soul ceremony," Ye Xuefan nodded.
Ye Jingcheng left the Celestial Dream Butterfly behind to assist him.
Shortly after, Ye Jingcheng returned to his cave dwelling.
To his surprise, the cave dwelling was quite lively at the moment. Ye Qingfeng and Ye Qingnian were both present, and Ye Yunxi was staying there as well. Beside them was a slightly nervous young woman who was currently helping Chu Yanqing prepare Spiritual Cuisine. Ye Qingnian was also bustling about, helping out. Only Ye Qingfeng and Yunxi were standing by, watching the spectacle with beaming smiles.
Upon seeing Ye Jingcheng return, the young woman hastily bowed. "Elder Qianchen."
She had bright eyes, pearly white teeth, and delicate features—she was indeed exceptionally beautiful.
"Father!"
"Eleventh Uncle," Ye Qingnian, Ye Qingfeng, Ye Yunxi, and the others hurriedly bowed as well.
"There’s no need to be so polite and formal. Here, I am just a father!" Ye Jingcheng nodded to each of them before turning to the young woman.
This young woman was none other than Wan Yulian from the Wan Family.
Standing nearby, Ye Qingnian let out a relaxed smile upon seeing Ye Jingcheng’s demeanor. He wasn’t afraid of his mother, but he held a deep sense of awe and reverence for his father. Now that his father didn’t treat her differently just because she was from the Wan Family, he was naturally delighted.
