Eventually the sea of liquid flames finally disappeared, Ved had lost most of his scales by then.

His lungs were gone and so was one of his horns, his right arm and both of his wings, they had all melted away.

He could barely remain conscious and this was after his law avatar manifested and enhanced his body with the dragon enhancement.

His regeneration went to work mending the wounds rapidly but the laws of the gorilla were strong and persistent.

He turned himself invisible and flew down to the massive hole left on the ground where hundreds of mountains had been.

The gorilla had created a massive hole in the mountain range that occupied hundreds of thousands of kilometres.

However in comparison to the entire mountain range, this was nothing but a little puddle.

Above, dark clouds continued churning and sending countless bolts of lightning to the ground like spears.

He looked up at the gorilla and it was completely fine but the clone he had created was gone.

The gorilla had shrunk down and its entire body was glowing with snakes of lightning dancing through it like veins.

’ So that’s its innate ability? No wonder it can shrug off that calamitous explosion, it turned its entire body into energy.’

It appeared to be made of pure lightning and its heigh had dropped to merely 50 metres but its strength had certainly skyrocketed.

Ved didn’t fly up, he rested inside the hole using the lingering aura of the explosion to hide his presence.

The energy in the air was too thick and the gorilla clearly couldn’t sense him or it would’ve attacked by now.

Minutes passed yet it didn’t leave and continued floating in the sky obviously still waiting for him to come out.

’ The lingering aura is weakening, it won’t be long before it senses my aura, my regeneration isn’t fast enough damnit.’

His law avatar had shrunk down as to not expose him with its massive size but its power hasn’t dropped.

The issue were the lingering laws inside him, they were hard to remove and constantly ravaged his body.

But his supreme laws were slowly removing them, fortunately he had comprehended both these laws.

His comprehension was lower than that of the gorilla but it made removing the laws easier than it was with Vermilion’s laws.

Eventually the surrounding aura could no longer hide him, the gorilla turned its head and looked at him.

" ROOOOAAAR!" It roared like thunder shaking the sky itself, lightning exploded out of its body turning the world into a realm of thunder.

" A domain? This thing might be harder to deal with than I expected." He came out from hiding.

His law avatar expanded to its full size which covered the sky, this didn’t effect its effectiveness on him.

However its offensive and defensive abilities increased. " I don’t think my law avatar can match that of a rank 8 demonic beasts."

As soon as he said that the gorilla lunged, " Igniti.." he couldn’t even finish activating ignition before a fist of lightning landed on his face.

His scales burnt and his teeth shattered into fragments, his head snapped to the side so fast his neck snapped.

’ Such a powerful punch.’ he retreated hundreds of metres. ’ The force behind it isn’t much but the lightning is too powerful.’

His body had gone numb, his arm twitched but he couldn’t move it freely. He tried removing the lightning with his laws but it was too slow.

Ignition activated increasing his power sixteen times. All four hearts pumped energy through his body like a broken dam.

" ROOOOAAAR!" He roared and they both lunged at each other, their speed once again relative.

BOOOOOM, two fists clashed, one small one large. The force caused the sky to quake.

Ved retreated two steps but the gorilla flew back a hundred metres. Ved grinned and lunged again.

His ignition plus the enhancement of his dragon magic made him physically stronger than the gorilla.

His soul also grew multiple folds stronger making his will and consequently his law avatar much stronger.

Law avatars clashed, the lightning gorilla punched the tree but merely shaved off the outer layer which healed soon after.

The dragon image swiped its claw sending the lightning gorilla flying, the gorilla’s will and soul were not very powerful to begin with.

Its innate ability only turned its body into lightning but the strength of its soul had not increased.

Their souls and will were almost equal from the start but now after using ignition, his soul was much stronger.

The gorilla’s law avatar could not match Ved’s own law avatars in terms of will but it made with a higher law comprehension.

Still, his law avatars were infused with supreme laws and with ignition, his comprehension temporarily increased to the peak of comprehension realm.

Under these conditions, the overall strength of his law avatar surpassed that of the gorilla’s.

This meant his attacks would be more effective on the gorilla while its own attacks would be less effective on him.

And that showed as the battle raged on, the gorilla kept retreating, its lightning body was getting smaller with each clash.

Ved was growing more and more excited as the battle continued. " Come, come beast show me what you got!"

He roared and fired a beam of dragon breath, the gorilla dodged and shot towards him like a spear of lightning.

As soon as it got close, he opened his mouth and black fog came out. The gorilla sensed the threat and tried to retreat.

" Too late." His law avatar lunged with its roots and bound the gorilla, it broke the roots but the fog was already upon it.

" Black Death." Enhanced by his law of death its might was incomparable to when he first made it.

Back then it was simply a very potent poison but now, it was death itself, if he was being honest.

It might be the closest thing he had to a real law art second only to regeneration which was just the manifestation of the law of life at this point.

Death on one side, life on the other, his two most powerful cards, alongside dragon magic which depended on other factors.

The black death engulfed the gorilla, as soon as it touched it the gorilla saw the underworld.

Black death as he had stated was akin to death itself. It sucked away the life out of the gorilla.

It gripped its soul and tried to pull it out while continuously draining the life out of its body. Ved knew, this fight was over.

This was the dread of black death.
