Beast Beauty System: The Exiled Fox is Pampered in the Beast World
Chapter 118: The Angel’s plan
The next two days passed quietly.
Anaria stayed in the shelter. She did not walk, and she did not run, nor did she go into the forest. She kept her word, partly because she understood the healer’s warning and partly because her mates were always around her, making sure she did not overdo anything.
Kenai applied the salve twice a day. The swelling went down slowly, and the pain faded a little more each time. She could move her leg now, although only slightly. It was not much, but it was enough to show that the injury was slowly improving.
Ana was happy throughout those days. She had her mother and her fathers around her. She had the shelter and the villagers who came to see her. She did not know that anything was wrong. She simply knew that she was loved and that there were always people around her.
The villagers continued to come every day.
Some brought typical food and fruits, while others brought small gifts. One brought a woven blanket. Another brought a carved wooden toy for Ana. Some came with nothing at all. They simply came to sit, talk, or spend some time near Anaria.
Anaria accepted it all. She did not have the energy to refuse their kindness.
From the shelter, she watched the settlement.
She saw the people working. She saw the children playing. She saw Tiku running around with the other cubs, laughing as they chased one another.
He was happy and was very alive.
Watching them made Anaria think about the task again.
The settlement still needed help. She could see it clearly. The shelters were old. The water was not clean. The children had nowhere proper to play except the dirt.
She could not do much because she was injured, but she could still plan, observe, and direct.
With that in mind, she started making a list.
Not big things.
Small things. Things that could help.
Better shelter for the elders.
A clean water source.
A small play area for the children.
Since there was no pen or paper during this era, Anaria used the system to help her write the list. She thought about who could handle each task and how long each one would take.
She would not do the work herself.
She would only instruct. She would tell the others what needed to be done and let them handle it.
That was the plan.
And for now, that was enough.
She looked over the list again, thinking through each point carefully. Her injured leg reminded her that she could not simply get up and start working, even if she wanted to.
For once, she would have to depend on others.
Anaria did not particularly like that idea, but she knew it was necessary.
She placed the list beside her and looked toward the settlement again.
There was still plenty that needed to be done.
But she had started.
For now, that was enough.
Her mates eventually noticed.
Kenai saw looking aimlessly at the settlement first while Anaria was feeding Ana. He came close to her and saw the strange material that she was with and picked it up and starred at it before looking at her.
"What is this?"
She looked at him "A list."
"I can see that. What is it for?"
Anaria did not answer immediately. She finished feeding Ana and handed her to Kai before turning back to Kenai.
"Something that would be beneficial to the settlement."
He sat down beside her, he doesn’t even want to understand what she meant by the list stuff, he only cared about her "You are supposed to be resting."
"I am resting."
"You are making your lists."
"That is not the same as working."
He looked at the list again.
"Better shelter. Clean water. Play area. These are not small things."
"They are not big things either."
Before Kenai could continue, Rylan walked into the shelter. His eyes immediately fell on the list in Kenai’s hand.
"What is that?"
Kenai handed it to him "She is making a list"
Rylan stared at it before looking at Anaria.
"What’s this for."
Ananria couldn’t even hold back her laughter and calming told them what’s it for"I am planning something that’s what is it"
"You are planning."
She sighed and smiled "Yeah. I am planning but i am not doing anything hard. I can sit down and do it."
Rylan and Kenai starred at her suspiciously then Kai walked up to them and still asked the same thing and he got the same explanation then kai looked at her.
"You cannot even stand without help."
"I know. That is why I am instructing. I am not doing."
Rylan looked at the list again.
"So, what’s inside this list of yours"
Ananria said "That’s what you guys should have asked me in the first place, Well..." she began listing her ideas to them
"These are good ideas." Rylan added when she was done listing them
She looked at him "They are?"
"Yes. Small and practical. They would help."
A small smile appeared on her face "Good."
He handed the list back to her.
"But you will not do too much."
"I will not."
"You will rest."
"Yes sir"
He looked at her for a long moment before finally nodding "Fine."
Anaria looked down at the list in her hands.
Small things and practical things. Things that could help.
She did not know if she could do everything she had written down, especially while she was still injured. But she could try.
She looked outside.
The sun was setting over the settlement. The people were beginning to go home, while the children were being called inside.
Tiku suddenly ran past the shelter, laughing. His mother followed behind him, carrying a basket.
Anaria watched them.
For a moment, she simply sat there and watched the settlement settle into the evening.
There was still so much to do.
The elders needed better shelters. The settlement needed cleaner water. The children needed somewhere safe to play.
None of it would happen immediately.
But it could happen gradually.
She had already started thinking about it, and now she had a list.
That was a beginning.
Anaria placed the list beside her and leaned back against the bedding.
Her leg still hurt, but it was better than before, all thanks to her mates and the people of the settlement.
