Beast Beauty System: The Exiled Fox is Pampered in the Beast World
Chapter 116: The Angel of the settlement
Anaria looked at the entrance and told her to come in
The mother stepped inside. Tiku was beside her, He looked clean now, his mother has washed him, given him new clothes. He looked like a different beast child, he is more cuter now.
The mother stopped in front of Anaria.
She did not speak at first. She just looked at her. At the splint on her leg and the torn clothes and her the tired face.
Then she knelt down.
Anaria blinked "What are you doing?"
The mother looked up at her "Thank you."
"You do not have to"
"I do."
She reached for Anaria’s hand, anaria let her take it.
"You saved my son. You went into the forest. In the dark. You risked your life and your baby, how could I repay this huge favour"
Anaria looked at Ana. The baby was watching the mother with wide eyes.
"He was alone," Anaria said. "I could not leave him."
The mother’s eyes filled with tears "I know. That is why I am thanking you."
She squeezed Anaria’s hand "You don’t know the depth of the favour, you did for me and my family. We will be forever grateful to you, lady Anaria" after saying this, she stood up
Tiku stepped forward and looked up at Anaria.
"Thank you, Fine lady," he said quietly.
Anaria smiled at him. It was a small smile. It was warm and real "You are welcome, little one"
He reached out and touched her hand. Then he stepped back to his mother.
The mother looked at the mates. They were watching. They did not speak.
She nodded at them and at ananria then she bowed and excused herself.
The inside shelter was quiet again but more voices came from outside.
People were gathering, the whole settlement. They had heard what happened. They had heard about the healer who went into the forest alone. They had heard about the cub.
One of the older beastmen stepped forward and spoke from outside "We want to thank her."
Rylan looked at Anaria and she did the same.
She did not want to go outside because she did not want to be seen like this. Her leg wrapped and scars.
But the people were waiting.
Kenai stood and helped and cleaned her up after that she leaned on him and they walked to the entrance.
The people saw her and went quiet.
Then the older beastman spoke again.
"Lady Ananria, we are truly grateful at all the favours that you have been giving us. May the beast Lord bless you "
Anaria did not answer, she just smiled.
Another person spoke up "You risked yourself and your child, I’m not sure a random stranger could do that for any one but you did and it showed how beautiful your heart is."
She looked at the crowd. smiling. Her gaze went from the mother, little Tiku, the beast women and their men.
"We do not have a name for someone who does that," the old man said. "But we will find one."
The people nodded. Some of them smiled. Some of them bowed their heads.
The old beast man turned to her " You are truly the Angel sent to us by our beast Lord to help the poor people of this settlement and for that, you are our settlement Angel"
After he said this, the people were shouting with joy and Anaria at that moment couldn’t even feel the pain on her leg, she just started at the joyous people infornt of her.
Then the system chimed in her mind.
[Reputation increased]
[ettlement: Southern Settlement]
[Title gained: Settlement Angel.]
[Host is truly an angel sent from above]
Anaria stared at the message, she did not know what to say
Kenai looked at her "What is it?"
She shook her head "Nothing."
The system chimed again.
[Task: Incomplete]
[ Well-being improvement: Pending.]
[Host has to finish the task in order to unlock a newer task but rest is required.]
[Time-Limit: None but the faster the better]
[ Host, can request the help of others to complete the task]
She looked at it and nodded then the system chimmed off.
The people were still watching her.
Anaria did not speak. She just stood there. Leaning on Kenai. Kai was holding Ana. Rylan stood beside them.
The crowd was quiet, waiting for her to say something.
She finally spoke "You do not have to thank me. I did what needed to be done. Nothing more."
The people started again. Their voices rose. Praises. Thanks. Relief. They could not help it. Their child was alive. Their cub was home.
Then the old tiger beastman stepped forward.
He was large. Grey around the muzzle. His voice was deep. The people went quiet when he spoke.
"We have already sent for a healer. To come and examine your leg. So you can heal faster and better."
Anaria looked at him. She smiled. It was small but still warm.
She nodded. She could not say anything more.
Rylan stepped forward "We are grateful for how highly your people place our mate. But she needs to rest now."
He did not finish.
The people agreed immediately. They nodded. They stepped back. They made room.
Anaria smiled at them. Then Kenai gently took her arm "Come. Let us get you inside."
She let him lead her. She did not argue. She did not resist.
They walked to the shelter. Kai followed with Ana. Rylan came last. He stopped at the entrance and looked back at the people.
They were still watching. Still grateful.
He nodded at them once. Then he went inside.
The shelter was warm and quiet.
Kenai helped Anaria sit down on the bedding. She let out a breath. Her leg was throbbing. The splint was holding. But it hurt.
Kai placed Ana beside her. The baby reached for her. Anaria took her hand.
"We will wait for the healer," Kenai said.
Anaria nodded.
Rylan sat near the entrance. He did not speak. He just watched her.
Anaria looked at all three of them. Her mates. Her family.
"Thank you," she said quietly.
Kenai looked at her "For what?"
" I don’t know"
Kai smiled "Then find out before thanking us"
She laughed.
They sat together. Waiting. The sun was rising outside. The settlement was waking up.
The healer would come soon.
