Barbarian Queen Conquest: Reborn as a Female Barbarian [OP MC LitRPG Isekai]
Chapter 98: All Available Options
The main difference between Berserker and Champion lay in personal power versus shared strength. Berserker focused entirely on selfishly gaining and amassing as much raw power as possible. It was often favored by Solo players who did not even like having party members around them. Many of them simply relied on healer NPCs instead.
Champion, on the other hand, served as both a warrior and a support unit. It helped increase everyone’s stats while still dealing solid damage, and those buffs worked on the Champion as well. Usually a party would bring two Champions so they could buff one another for massive combined effects.
Of course, their evolutions were even stronger. Calamity became an insatiable monster capable of draining the life force of defeated foes to sustain itself on the battlefield almost endlessly. Hero turned into a powerful Jack of All Trades who was a Master of All, skilled in Offensive Magic, Healing Magic, and Support Magic, while also possessing excellent speed and refined swordsmanship techniques.
But which one would I choose?
“Berserk is calling for me… but maybe Champion is the wiser choice if I want my family to remain alive and grow stronger alongside me. I don’t want to leave them behind and risk them dying.”
I was no longer a player inside a simple game. This was real life. Selfishly choosing the class best suited for solo play while walking around with my entire family might prove detrimental in the end.
“Ugh, I’m racking my brains here thinking about this… I already have plenty of support options for my family already, right? Uh… decisions, decisions…”
I let out a heavy sigh and decided to move on to the next choices in order to clear my mind. I would make the final decision only after reading everything so I could form a better overall judgment.
[Werebeast – Tier 3]: Those who walk the line between human and monster. Werebeasts can partially or fully transform into powerful beast forms, gaining immense physical stats, enhanced senses, regeneration, and natural weapons. Different forms grant different advantages (wolf for speed and pack tactics, bear for raw power, and others). The curse of the beast brings increased aggression and occasional loss of control under the full moon unless it is properly mastered. Strength +5000, Agility +5000, Vitality +4000.
[Stalker – Tier 3]: Masters of the hunt who never let their prey escape. Stalkers gain near-perfect camouflage in any environment, enhanced tracking abilities that can follow traces across almost any terrain, and lethal Ambush skills that deal massive critical damage from stealth. Their arrows and blades ignore many forms of magical protection. Perfect for silent elimination and long-range assassination. Agility +5500, Spirit +3500, Luck +3000.
I smiled faintly at the Stalker option. It fit my shadow bow playstyle perfectly. However, Werebeast seemed equally enticing. It could strengthen my Beast Rune even further and allow me to combine more deeply with the Beast Spirits of my Familiars. Although my Bloodline and Tattoo already provided strengthened stats and transformation abilities, having more options that overlapped with each other was never a bad thing.
Stalker remained very appealing as well. It offered greater enhancement to my stealth abilities along with reinforced arrow and blade proficiency, plus the power to ignore a foe’s defenses to a meaningful degree. What was there not to love about this class?
Well, if anything, the name itself felt a little strange, but that was the only real drawback.
“Hmm… Both are really good, damn it,” I sighed internally. “But maaaaybe I will go for Stalker… I’m still not completely decided yet. Creepy name, I know, but it is still excellent.”
Then I moved on to the Saintess Evolution options, which were Seraph and Miracle. Both were Classes I had not even known existed before.
[Seraph – Tier 3]: A holy warrior representing a god. Seraphs manifest radiant wings for flight and combat, wield purifying flames and divine light, and gain powerful healing and protective spells. They excel at cleansing corruption, banishing undead or demons, and supporting allies with heavenly blessings based on their guardian gods. Their very presence weakens evil entities. Strength +5000, Spirit +4500, Mana +4000, Charm +3000.
[Miracle – Tier 3]: A pure beacon of faith and restoration. Miracles can invoke genuine divine interventions from the gods they serve, such as area-wide healing waves, blessing entire groups with powerful buffs, destroying curses, or creating sanctuaries that nullify hostile magic. Their healing and support capabilities far surpass standard Saintess abilities, though direct combat power remains minimal. Mana +6000, Spirit +6000, Resistance +4000.
“Oh, I see… Seraph feels more combat-oriented while Miracle is pure support… I already lean pretty heavily into fighting, so both could be useful depending on what is coming next,” I thought while reading both options carefully and in detail.
It seemed that Seraph transformed the Saintess Class into a true combat class, a hybrid of physical and magical attacks capable of area-wide magic while still retaining healing and support abilities.
Both options were enticing, yet Seraph was currently winning me over because of how well it appeared to combine with my existing fighting style. The idea of embodying an aspect of the gods I served through this Class also felt very appealing.
Finally came the Ninja options. I looked at the evolution paths for this Class: Kage no Oni and Samurai. Both carried unique names and likely offered very distinct playstyles.
[Kage no Oni – Tier 3]: “Shadow Demon.” A terrifying assassin who merges with darkness itself. Kage no Oni can become living shadows, manipulate darkness to create clones, bind enemies, or form deadly weapons. They gain demonic resilience and can drain life force through their shadow techniques. Extremely lethal at night or during indoor battles, but slightly weaker under direct bright light. Agility +6000, Spirit +4000, Strength +3000.
[Samurai – Tier 3]: The way of the warrior refined through the blade. Samurai gain unmatched mastery with swords and polearms, along with the legendary “Iaijutsu” and “Bushido” skills that allow them to enter states of perfect focus. They can unleash devastating cutting techniques that ignore armor and emit cutting waves. Their honor and resolve grant powerful defensive buffs when protecting others or fighting fairly. Strength +4500, Agility +4500, Endurance +2500, Charm +2500.
Kage no Oni seemed perfect for my fighting style, quite honestly. It looked like it had the potential to reinforce or even evolve my Shadow Clone Jutsu, something I relied on heavily to multiply my damage, surprise opponents, and create distractions. I had also learned that the Spirit stat directly affected the Ninjutsu of the Ninja Path.
Samurai, however, seemed amazing as well. It was a Class centered exclusively on wielding the sword. For someone like me who had barely used blades and had mostly concentrated on the Axe as my innate talent, this felt a little outside my comfort zone. Still, it could help me grow accustomed to wielding swords as well, which might open the door to all kinds of unique powers and techniques.
