Gong Ruini came home exhausted. Even though someone helped take care of Pingping on the way, the two kids kept their eyes on her, which tired her out greatly.

Zhao Guangran leisurely wandered out of her room, "Welcome home."

"I did a pretty good job with the cleaning, didn’t I? I really put in a lot of effort." He couldn’t miss this chance to showcase himself.

A lot of effort? Only this guy could shamelessly say that. Gong Ruini would bet that Zhao Guangran didn’t clean any of those things.

"A single phone call could get it done, but it did cost quite a bit, right?" Gong Ruini wouldn’t directly mock him, but Zhao Xuran didn’t hold back.

"And the kitchen is also empty." Before leaving, they had emptied the fridge, not expecting to return to an empty one.

"How did you get by these days?" A living person who didn’t know to stock the home fridge, Zhao Xuran was also impressed by how lazy her own brother could be.

How did he manage? "It’s simple, just go out to eat. There are several restaurants nearby, and they taste quite good."

"Tonight we’re going out for dinner; I haven’t treated Pingping and them to a meal yet." Zhao Guangran remembered something important.

Treat Pingping and them to a meal? Gong Ruini couldn’t help but ask, "Do you have any sincerity? Do you think Pingping and they would eat?"

Wouldn’t eat? Wasn’t it said that they could already eat solids? Zhao Guangran thought he wasn’t wrong.

Solids mean going out to eat? Gong Ruini was quite impressed by Zhao Guangran’s way of thinking.

"Most solids are actually vegetable purees and such. Do you think the restaurants we go to have them?" Zhao Xuran sarcastically asked.

Alright, he didn’t know. The issue is, "I haven’t been a dad before, how would I know?"

"You’re the one who’s a dad. If you don’t know, that’s the problem." Zhao Guangran retorted without holding back.

"Can’t you bring some with you, and then we can have a good meal? This time in the United Kingdom, I made a good amount of money. How can I not have a big meal?" Zhao Guangran was in such a good mood that if he didn’t go out for a meal, he felt he couldn’t forgive himself.

It’s so like Zhao Guangran to think about splurging as soon as he made money, "Fine, but we need to go grocery shopping first."

"By the way, notify the aunties to come to work tomorrow." Because they returned home, the aunties were given a break, just to come daily for a little check-ins in between.

Zhao Xuran responded with an acknowledgment, habitually going to the kitchen to check on the stock of oil, salt, and rice. Watching his big brother’s skilled actions, Zhao Guangran was really incredulous.

This is his brother, his very own brother, who hasn’t done so much even back home. Although he could do it, he never needed to handle it. Who would’ve thought, after a trip to the United States, his big brother learned so many things, impressive indeed.

"If you don’t learn, you’ll always rely on others. You’re really living like a rich kid." Zhao Xuran quickly listed the needed materials, "Looking after kids, cooking, cleaning, hiring two people is already a significant expense."

"If you don’t do something yourself, how many people do you plan to hire?"

"Don’t say you’re rich; your so-called wealth isn’t worth mentioning." Zhao Xuran got ahead of Zhao Guangran, as this guy always talked about being rich after his visit to the United Kingdom.

I really don’t understand what there is to boast about with such little money, "Buy a couple of pieces of woodland, and the money is almost gone, right?"

Over the top, Zhao Guangran is so frustrated. Why, whenever he wants to show off a little, does his big brother pop up? Really, sigh.

"Of course, we must treat, it’s a big event after all, but don’t you think you should be a little more sincere?" With a rich guy willing to treat, how could Zhao Xuran miss out?

Humph, wasn’t it criticized properly before? Now he says treating is a must, does he take me for a fool?

"You should check if that restaurant offers baby food." Zhao Xuran happily pointed him in a direction.

Baby food, no way, his big brother isn’t planning on taking Pingping and them to dinner, is he? With kids this young, how would they eat?

"That..." Just thinking of having dinner at a restaurant with two kids with food all over their faces made Zhao Guangran want to break down.

"When Pingping and they get a bit older, I’ll take them out for meals, but for now, let’s have a BBQ."

"Let’s eat on the terrace." Zhao Guangran thought for a moment and simply remembered they had set up a grill on the terrace before but hadn’t used it much. Might as well take this opportunity to fire it up again.

Eating on the terrace in this weather, Gong Ruini could only chuckle. Really, how did he come up with that, doesn’t he know there’s snow outside?

"We can be under the eaves, and we can make a fire; I feel it’s a good idea."

"If Ni Zi and them feel cold, we can be in the sunroom." Although Zhao Guangran came up with the idea on the spur of the moment, he really thought it through quite well.

Go to the sunroom? Isn’t that just giving Pingping a chance to mess with the plants? Gong Ruini remembered previous times when she took Pingping inside; he especially enjoyed wreaking havoc on the plants.

But it frustrated Gong Ruini so much; she wanted to teach him a lesson badly but couldn’t bring herself to do it when faced with his toothless smile, leaving it to Zhao Xuran to handle.

One could say his attitude in admitting the wrong is good. Every time he bows his head to apologize, but the outcome isn’t great. It’s a continuous cycle of lessons, apologies, and repeated mistakes.

Helplessly, Gong Ruini could only prevent Pingping from entering the sunroom to stop them from messing with her plants.

"I think it’s good."

"Grilled meat sounds great, sis, I miss the way you marinated the meat last time." Gong Ruzhi looked at Gong Ruini with a pitiful face, full of "I want to eat, I want to eat" expressions.

With her own brother saying so, what could Gong Ruini do? Especially since the aunties hadn’t come today, meaning she would have to cook herself. After a long flight, she really didn’t feel like doing anything.

Grilled meat is indeed a good choice. If there were no kids, going out to eat would be a nice option, but with Pingping and them now, Gong Ruini really didn’t dare to venture out.

In the United States, it’s not common to feed kids, resulting in Pingping and the rest getting into the habit of clumsily using their shaky little hands to feed themselves.

Although according to the aunty, Pingping and the rest’s eating motions are really fast, Gong Ruini still felt anxious watching her son and daughter eat.

Not only when eating, but a moment’s inattention and the food would spill out, leaving Gong Ruini constantly tidying up after them. While she had thought about feeding them instead, the two babies didn’t want it, or rather, once Pingping didn’t want it, then little princess An An wouldn’t agree either.
