Atticus’s Odyssey: Reincarnated Into A Playground

Chapter 1648 Supreme

Chapter 1648  Supreme

Azeron silently observed the Fragment Bearer regrow her arm in front of him.

His eyes narrowed slightly at the tattoos emblazoned across her arm.

The Willguard was their most fated enemy. Their kind had been raised and conditioned to destroy anything connected to them.

Even so, Azeron lifted a hand, subtly motioning for the other Evoli to hold themselves back.

Atticus had already warned him about it.

And regardless… Azeron didn’t like the idea of harming anything that could even remotely be connected to that boy.

Thora approached the massive barrier encasing the headquarters and pressed the tattooed arm against its surface.

For a brief moment, nothing happened.

Then the barrier rippled. A circular section silently parted open, leaving a clean hole large enough for them to pass through.

“Hurry.”

As Thora waved, the group hastily made their way through the hole. Azeron’s eyes instantly landed on the full might of the Willguard base.

Exactly what one would expect from the central seat of the great Willguard.

‘Great my ass.’

Azeron’s lips twitched faintly. A faint thrill stirred within him at the thought of bringing destruction to a place like this. But the feeling faded almost as quickly as it appeared as his mind drifted to a certain white haired boy.

 ‘Where did he go?’

His gaze shifted toward the distant horizon. Even from here, he could see it.

Flashes of light. Thunderous booms rolling through the sky. The air itself trembled lightly with the distant shockwaves. A clash was underway.

And Azeron had absolutely no doubt who was responsible.

‘Truly a shame.’

A small sigh escaped him.

Though this mission was meant to deal a devastating blow to the Willguard, the real reason Azeron had volunteered for it had been something else entirely.

He had wanted to witness Atticus fight at full power. To see that monster in action. And somehow… he had ended up missing the entire thing.

What a waste.

Feeling several pairs of eyes settle on him, Azeron turned his head toward Thomas.

“Lead the way.”

Thomas straightened immediately.

“Yes.”

The inscriber moved ahead, guiding them across the courtyard and into the main structure of the base.

Azeron was currently using his Aspect of Supremacy to mask their presence.

‘Though I doubt there’ll be anyone powerful enough to detect us.’

With the scale of the battle raging outside, Atticus was almost certainly fighting the High Judicator by now.

If that was the case, the majority of the Willguard forces would have already been mobilized toward that battlefield. The empty lobby they entered only reinforced that conclusion.

Azeron’s gaze sharpened. This was the perfect time to strike.

Thomas led them to a lift, which they took down to a basement.

As they stepped out, Thomas raised his hand, pointing toward a massive reinforced structure at the far end of the underground chamber.

“That’s the lab.”

Azeron fixed his gaze on the building. ‘Hmm… no guards.’

That alone was suspicious. Azeron tried to scan the interior but frowned a moment later.

‘…I can’t pierce through its defenses.’

He gazed at the building for a moment.

“Wan. Don. Tan. Yan. Kos.”

The five Evoli straightened instantly.

“Remain outside. Handle anyone that approaches. The rest of you come with me.”

“Yes, Elder.”

Azeron began walking towards the building a moment later, with Thomas and Thora walking silently behind him. Moving through the door, they entered into a dark hallway.

Thomas subtly stepped closer to Azeron and lowered his voice.

“The lab is at the end of the hall.”

He gestured toward the double doors far ahead.

Azeron nodded.

The entire building was dark, quiet, and seemingly devoid of people. Still, Azeron’s eyes remained cautious as he approached the door. Even inside, he still couldn’t pierce the building’s defenses to scan the whole structure. He was blind.

A faint sound echoed, and Azeron narrowed his eyes and motioned for the group to stop.

“Did you see something?” Thora asked.

But Azeron’s gaze remained on the door. A moment of silence passed.

Then the door was pushed open and a figure stepped out. He was clad in the golden armor of the Willguard, with a white mask on his face.

‘A Judicator.’

Azeron felt the group behind him tense, their expressions instantly turning grim. Judicators stood at the very top of the power ladder in the Summit, and any one of them was bound to be strong. However, a far grimmer thought settled in Azeron’s mind.

‘We can’t afford to fight.’

Starting a battle before they had located their target would immediately alert the Domain God. In that case, the best case scenario would be the other Willguard forces converging on their position.

The worst case… the High Judicator himself might drag that cataclysmic battle straight here and involve all of them.

Azeron subtly lifted a hand, gesturing for the others not to move or make a sound. His Aspect of Supremacy spread across them like an invisible veil, suppressing every trace of their presence. It worked best when he remained completely still, so Azeron held his position and fixed his gaze ahead.

The Judicator slowly stepped further into the hallway, his glowing eyes sweeping across the corridor as though searching for something.

‘He can’t see us.’

Even so, Azeron didn’t relax. For the Judicator to come outside meant he had clearly sensed something. The situation was already on the edge of turning bad.

‘I have to kill him.’

A cold glint flashed across Azeron’s eyes. If he could close the distance, he could end the fight quickly and silently before the man had the chance to react.

He slowly shifted forward and took a step… but the Judicator’s eyes suddenly flared with golden light.

“Eyes of Truth.”

The next moment, the Judicator’s eyes widened.

‘He’s seen us.’

Azeron didn’t waste time trying to figure out how. He immediately snapped his head toward Thomas, Thora, and the other Evoli.

“Go. Secure the weapon. I’ll handle this.”

Before any of them could react, Azeron had already turned back toward the Judicator. His will erupted outward in a violent surge as his eyes flushed abyss-black.

“Domain of Supremacy.”
