Frost had never expected much from life.

Although he constantly strived to be brilliant, that was more a result of his unwillingness to allow the great potential he had been born with to go to waste.

One could even say he possessed a brilliant mind, having managed to earn a place at a respectable college through nothing but his own effort.

His most recent problem was his inability to control his growing sexual urges, and while he blamed his eternal virgin status, as well as the sudden explosive increase in his testosterone levels, he would soon discover that nothing was ever as simple as it seemed.

Life continued as usual until the illusion known as the Matrix came crashing down, bringing with it a new world order where the strong ruled and the weak perished.

Beyond the illusion lay a far greater universe, one where the laws of nature were governed by runes, mysterious structures woven into the foundation of existence itself. Fire, life, space, gravity, and even the soul were all bound by these ancient edicts.

For those who awakened to them, runes were also a source of unimaginable power, allowing ordinary people to surpass the limits of humanity and gradually take control of the laws that once governed them.

However, Earth had not been cut off from the rest of existence for no reason.

As humanity struggles to survive its rude awakening, hidden powers begin pulling strings from the shadows, and Earth's natives soon realize that the collapse of the Matrix was not an accident.
