Ascension of the Sylvan Cosmos
Chapter 899. New World Tree Families and Preparation for the Third Batch.
Chapter 899: Chapter 899. New World Tree Families and Preparation for the Third Batch.
With the reopening of the <Eternal Trial Domain>, the new opening of the supersized Level 200 Dungeon from Rhazor’s army’s <Feat>, and the new ones Liu Shu took over after conquering the worlds from different Solar Systems, the Leveling speed of the entire Golden Sap Empire skyrocketed.
Apothea was so busy helping people and ants go through <Ascension> that not a single day passed without one of her "lake type" rooms being in use.
Slowly but surely, the number of <Second Ascension> powerhouses shot up and far surpassed what Liu Shu had during the war against Carter. All those soldiers who participated, having gained personal <Titles> and incredible proficiency, broke through the wall of Level 200 with incredible ease.
It wasn’t just the people. Liu Shu’s Star Reaching and Moon Soul Lignified babies were, thanks to her <Divine Architect> skill, Leveling Up and going through <Ascension> at an even higher speed than the soldiers.
Flora, within Liu Shu’s domain, developed at an unnatural pace. It truly felt as if each year for flora within Liu Shu’s domain was the equivalent of a century outside of it.
Warlya, Skyflower, and the other World Trees delayed their Leveling Up a bit to care for their new children. Those children, fathered or mothered by Liu Shu’s Sylvan children, grew happily.
Warlya, a first-time mother, asked the I-CARE network for raising tips, and the Life Trees and World Trees who had children helped her and shared their advice.
Liu Shu participated as well. "...Hehe. That’s true. It is adorable when they manage to speak their first words. Since Big Sister Warlya has given birth to a Sylvan on her first try, she will have a reliable big sister for the rest of her babies!"
Warlya spoke softly, her tall and heroic Avatar holding a young child in her arms. "She is so cute. She takes after Arlyn a lot with her white hair."
Warlya’s Avatar, a tall, curvy, red-haired heroic woman, could only be described as exceptionally beautiful. Truthfully, no World Tree Avatars could be considered ugly. Even among the worst-looking ones, their looks could only be described as exotic.
Someone with eyes a bit too large, but who would look the most adorable to some.
Someone with too-large curves, but never looking unhealthy.
Their appearances varied a lot, but the average was model-class beauty in human society. Then, there were individuals like Liu Shu, Fortuna, and Warlya, who crushed most humanoids in appearance alone thanks to their extraordinary aura.
Pelagia, the oceanic World Tree, asked curiously. "Is it that nice to have a partner?"
As a World Tree with zero romantic experience, she was somewhat confused about all the fuss. As a World Tree, childbirth was something she could observe at any moment in time thanks to her perception. So when she saw Liu Shu and the others speak so cheerfully, it didn’t really resonate with her.
Warlya, being one of the newest mothers, explained her feelings from a World Tree perspective. "I know what you mean. Even now, I can look around and see a woman giving birth to a healthy child. However, this is different. Hm... For example, how do you feel about the fruits of other World Trees?"
Pelagia pondered and answered. "I don’t feel much. Sometimes I just marvel at them."
Warlya nodded. "That’s the feeling. When you have your own child is like when you bear a mutated fruit that has evolved to become a powerful treasure. You know, those very occasional outliers that manage to become S Rank? The feeling when those fruits appear is similar to having a child yourself."
"Really? That happy?"
Pelagia was surprised. For a World Tree, their fruits were a matter of both pride and joy. If they were able to bear a powerful fruit and help someone with that, a deep sense of satisfaction would wash all over the World Tree.
That was also another of the many reasons the World Trees looked up to Liu Shu. She, who had over a dozen fruit varieties, and all of them were of incredible and constant quality, appeared like a true goddess of fertility and nature.
As she was thinking like that, Pelagia asked. "Liu Shu, are any of your Sylvan children searching for a partner?"
Liu Shu burst into laughter. "Why? Are my children attractive?"
Pelagia answered honestly. "Yeah. If they are your children, it is guaranteed that my progeny will be extraordinary."
Liu Shu answered, amused. "The second-generation babies have not found a romantic partner yet. You can try with them."
Speaking of Sylvan children, she guessed that her lovers had already rested enough from their Sylvan pregnancies. As explained before, giving birth to a Sylvan was quite burdensome for Sylvans. So they needed to rest for a few years to a few decades in between to avoid complications.
That was the only reason the six Sylvans avoided entering a cycle of childbirth at Liu Shu’s level. Liu Shu, meanwhile, was giving birth to two babies on average per year. It wasn’t burdensome at all, and she loved it. It was difficult each time. Childbirth was not something you could get accustomed to, especially with how rare the species she gave birth to were.
Nevertheless, Liu Shu put in the effort. It didn’t matter if each time she would scream in pain. As long as she could allow even one more little life to come into the world, Liu Shu would put in the effort as the mother.
While she continued to communicate with a few of her Big Sisters, and she was asked by a few of her Little Sisters about her Alraune children, Liu Shu shifted her gaze toward her lovers.
She had made sure that their offices and control centers were all in the Golden Sap City. That way, they were a few minutes away from the portals within Green, Red, and the others.
"Hm... Cinderielle is visiting the Moon to check on some starship-related matters. Verdantia is in the Golden Garden, where the rarest species grow and are taken care of. Tempestria is in the army barracks, checking on the soldiers together with Seraphina. Obsidianis is in the Dark Aether research area, torturing a few Corruption Church members and trying to understand their corruption tactics. Harmonixia is giving a concert near the government office to boost morale."
All of them had specialized in certain areas while growing up together in the Golden Sap Empire. The six of them were incredible in every regard, so they led their groups without even caring about the individuals trying to catch up and surpass them.
As naturally extraordinary people, they could focus on their own matters and grow without complications or risk of being substituted. Even Zaros, the Golden Sap Empire’s Grand Commander, had felt that his post would’ve been in danger if even one of them focused entirely on military expertise.
’They are really special.’
Liu Shu couldn’t help but admit that. Her lovers were... odd cases. The first time she met them, the girls were D and C Tier. Now, they had explosively evolved to become SS- Tier powerhouses in their main <Stat>. This kind of growth was unseen anywhere else. Flor and Ignatia, the only two who had experienced this extraordinary growth, had done so because of their unique species.
Flower Fairy, the empress of all fairy types and the one fairy species with the potential to gain divinity. The species could develop to the extremes and rule most plant species. It was a species comparable to some World Trees in terms of might and aether manipulation.
Humanoid Ant Queen, the apex of insectoid species, and one who gathered all advantages of insectoid species and mixed them. She mixed them not individually, but as a group. The ants were intelligent enough to have personal thoughts, but the mindset of one colony, one species, one leader, was ingrained into their DNA.
Beyond their species, they were tightly linked to Liu Shu as her mother, so Liu Shu’s own growth also affected them. All combined, this explained their ability to grow as they have.
’While my lovers have those special <Titles>, it is not... enough.’
She didn’t deny it. Her lovers were talented. But it just didn’t explain how they could go from C Tier to SS- Tier.
’Well, it doesn’t matter.’
She truly felt so. As long as her lovers could become stronger and follow her large strides, Liu Shu was satisfied.
’Now, enough of serious matters.’
While the six were working, Liu Shu’s roots appeared from the void by their sides and tightly wrapped around their waists.
Everyone blinked and looked at them, confused. A second later... Mine!
The six of them were pulled into a dimensional distortion and thrown into Liu Shu’s <Core Room>.
All the people talking with them could only smile wryly. ’Even after all these centuries, their relationship remains as fresh as the beginning.’
Meanwhile, Verdantia and the others looked at each other with bewildered eyes, but a second later, their expressions stiffened.
Dozens of smooth, sticky vines stretched from the soil, wriggling as some of them opened their ends to reveal a moist, sticky, and bumpy interior.
Cinderielle gulped. "L-Liu Shu, love... What is this?"
The others also looked at the wriggling, sticky, and seductive vines with wide, trembling eyes.
Liu Shu’s voice reached them with a touch of allure. "Your wombs have rested enough, haven’t they? It is time to put them to use after so long~."
The third batch of Sylvan babies was long overdue!
Obsidianis, not really aware of what she was about to experience, looked around and then at the girls. "Um... What is this?"
Harmonixia answered with a complex expression between arousal and fear. "This is... a Hellish Heaven."
Seraphina tilted her head. "Hellish... Heaven?"
As she asked that, Liu Shu moved. Her roots blurred with precise motions. Before they could even blink, their clothes were all gone. "Wha—Ah!"
Obsidianis let out a somewhat girlish scream as her legs were tightly bound and lifted. The sensation of falling backward caused a rising anxiety that made her heart pound for a moment. She didn’t have to worry, though.
Other roots coiled around her arms, waist, breasts, and even neck. The oily and slippery sensation caused pleasant chills to spread around her body, and when she looked down, her eyes widened.
"W-Wait. Love. T-That’s a bit too big?"
A root with a clear and familiar shape approached between her legs. The root, with thickness comparable to a forearm and bumpy protuberances, caused Obsidianis and the rest to feel their hearts thump rapidly.
Blood rushed down, and six pillars of sturdy muscle and flesh rose up simultaneously. "Don’t worry... It will fit. It always does in the end~."
Obsidianis and Seraphina thought that was the danger, but they noticed the four experienced wives looking up with fear and ignoring the monstrous, bumpy shaft below. Confused, they followed their gaze and then froze.
Falling from above, three vines split in a star shape at the tip, revealing neon-blue, sticky, and bumpy... holes. Two of those grew feelers as they approached their chest.
Seraphina and Obsidianis, knowing perfectly well what those three things were going to swallow, trembled in excitement, anticipation, and also... concern.
’Gulp. W-Will I be able to remain the same after this?’
