Arrival in an isekai
Chapter 154: Recruiting +18 Orihime.
You cup Albedo's face with both hands and draw her into a deep, slow kiss. Her lips part immediately, yielding to yours with the kind of devoted hunger that only she can muster. Your tongue traces the seam of her mouth and she moans into you, her hips still grinding lazily against your lap. You feel her wings shiver behind her back, feathers rustling like silk.
"You have me every night," you murmur against her lips. "That's not changing."
Albedo's golden eyes flutter open, pupils dilated with pleasure and something deeper. Possessiveness. Satisfaction. "Every night," she repeats, like she's sealing a contract.
"But right now," you continue, your thumb brushing her cheekbone, "I'm going to retrieve an adult variant of Orihime Inoue. One who doesn't have her powers yet. Would you like to come with me?"
The question hangs between you for exactly one heartbeat. Then Albedo clenches around you with deliberate, rhythmic intensity, her inner walls milking you as her back arches. Her wings snap wide. The orgasm rips through her in visible waves, her thighs trembling against yours, her mouth falling open in a silent cry that becomes a breathless laugh. She rides the aftershocks with her forehead pressed to your shoulder, fingers digging into your chest.
"Yes," she gasps. "Absolutely yes."
You lift her off you gently, setting her on the throne's armrest while she catches her breath. She smooths her disheveled hair with practiced fingers, already composing herself, though the flush across her pale skin and the satisfied curve of her lips betray her thoroughly.
You dress with a thought, your equipment materializing as it always does, and offer her your hand. She takes it, rising on slightly unsteady legs before her composure snaps back into place like armor.
The walk to the library takes you through Nazarick's upper floors, Albedo's hand in yours, her wings folded neatly behind her. The library floor 1002, vast and impossible, shelves stretching into infinity, Jibril's domain.
You find her at her usual desk, surrounded by floating tomes and crystalline data tablets. Her blue hair catches the ambient glow as she looks up, her expression shifting from scholarly focus to warm recognition.
"My Lord. You've returned." Jibril sets aside her resurrection coordination notes and rises, smoothing her dress. "The eastern graveyard schedule is finalized for tomorrow. Four hundred and twelve souls await."
"Good work. I'm jumping to a variant of the Bleach universe. I'm retrieving an adult Orihime Inoue, no powers developed. We'll be back in a few minutes."
Jibril's eyes light with intellectual curiosity. "A variant timeline extraction. The dimensional resonance should be straightforward. May I observe?"
"Come if you like."
She materializes her wings immediately, eager as a child offered sweets. Albedo's grip on your hand tightens fractionally but she says nothing, her expression carefully neutral.
You close your eyes and reach through the dimensional substrate. The Bleach variant resolves easily, a world where Soul Society never noticed Karakura Town, No Ichigo Kurosaki in this one. Where hollows exist but no substitute shinigami ever emerged. You locate Orihime Inoue, age eighteen, living alone in a modest apartment in Karakura. Her brother Sora died years ago. The hollow that was once him still lingers at the edges of her existence, drawn by her latent spiritual pressure, though she cannot perceive it consciously. She feels his presence as grief, as cold spots, as the sense of being watched.
You open a Gate outside her apartment building. The evening air of Karakura Town hits you, carrying the smell of rain and convenience store bento. It's approximately seven in the evening local time. She would have gotten home from her part-time job an hour ago.
Albedo and Jibril stand behind you, both having adapted their appearances to something less conspicuous for a modern Japanese city. Albedo's wings are hidden, her horns veiled. Jibril looks like an unusually beautiful cosplayer.
You approach the door to apartment 204. Second floor. The building is old but clean, the kind of place a young woman working part-time jobs could afford after her brother's life insurance paid out.
You knock. Three polite raps.
Footsteps inside. Soft. Hesitant. Then the click of a chain lock being slid aside, and the door opens to a crack.
Orihime Inoue peers out at you. She's eighteen years old, with auburn hair that falls past her shoulders in loose waves halfway down her back, and large grey eyes that hold a permanent shadow of sadness. Her face is heart-shaped, pretty in an unconventional way, with a small beauty mark beneath her lip. She wears a faded pink sweater over a white camisole, her figure fuller than her slight frame suggests. Her apartment smells of reheated curry and the faint mustiness of someone who spends too much time alone.
"Yes?" she asks, her voice soft and uncertain. "Can I help you?"
"Orihime Inoue?" you ask, keeping your tone warm and unhurried. "I'm sorry to arrive unannounced. My name is Blank. These are my associates, Albedo and Jibril."
Orihime blinks at the three of you, her grey eyes wide with confusion. Her gaze lingers on Albedo's striking beauty, then Jibril's ethereal presence, before settling on you with cautious uncertainty. "Yes, that's me. How do you know my name?"
"We represent an organization that's been aware of you for some time," you say, which is technically true from the moment you identified her dimensional variant. "I'd like to discuss a lifetime career opportunity with you, if you'd be willing to give us a few minutes."
Her fingers tighten on the door chain. "A career opportunity? I don't have any special skills. I just work at a bakery and a convenience store."
"You have more potential than you realize," you reply gently. "But this conversation would be better had inside, if you're comfortable with that."
She studies your face for a long moment. Something in her expression shifts, a loneliness so profound it borders on desperation winning out over caution. She unlatches the chain and opens the door wider. "Okay. Please come in."
The apartment is small but clean. A single futon in the corner, a tiny kitchenette, a table with two chairs. She offers you the chairs and sits on her bed, tucking her legs beneath her. Albedo and Jibril stand behind you, their presence filling the cramped space with an elegance that makes the modest furnishings look almost theatrical.
"So," Orihime says, her hands clasped in her lap. "What kind of career?"
"A residential position," you explain. "Group meals, an open feast-table available around the clock, unique education with excellent lifetime opportunities. You'd be living with a large group of other young women in a rural community. Physical and mental healthcare are fully assured. Each member receives a unique wardrobe tailored to their individual style."
Orihime's grey eyes grow progressively wider as you speak. "A feast-table? Available all the time?"
"At all hours."
"And other people? Young women like me?"
"Many of them. Some are students, some are warriors in training, some are still discovering what they want to become."
She leans forward slightly, her loneliness bleeding through her careful composure like water through cracked porcelain. "That sounds almost too good to be real. What would I have to do?"
"That's a longer conversation. For now, I want you to understand that the offer is genuine and the living conditions are exactly as described."
Orihime opens her mouth to respond when the temperature in the apartment drops sharply, the sight of her breath pausing her words, with the lights above flickering. A cold pressure builds against the walls, something hungry and desperate pushing through the boundary between worlds.
You move without hesitation. Your hand shoots upward and closes around something invisible, something that thrashes and shrieks with a sound like tearing metal. The hollow materializes in your grip, a grotesque creature with a gaping hole in its chest and a white bone mask stretched into a permanent scream. It writhes against your fingers, claws scraping uselessly against your skin.
Orihime screams, scrambling backward on her bed until she hits the wall.
You pour a thread of energy into the creature, forcing it into visibility. The hollow's form solidifies completely, every detail rendered in sharp clarity for Orihime's mortal eyes. The bone mask. The black claws. The hole where a heart should be.
"This," you say calmly, holding the thrashing phantom at arm's length like a misbehaving cat, "is similar to a ghost, it has been feeding on your life-force for months. You've likely experienced cold spots, a feeling of being watched, that was this thing."
Orihime's breathing comes in ragged gasps. Her grey eyes are fixed on the creature with a horror that slowly, painfully, transforms into recognition.
"Sora?" she whispers. "Is that... is that my brother?"
The hollow's mask contorts. A sound emerges from its throat, not quite words, but the shape of a name. Her name. The remnants of Sora Inoue's love still flicker behind the monster's eyes, barely visible beneath layers of hunger and decay.
"Once upon a time. Part of him still recognizes you," you confirm. "But the rest of him wants to eat you alive. Without intervention, he'll succeed within two months."
You hold the hollow steady in your grip, its bone mask clicking and warbling as it strains. The creature's black claws rake uselessly at your forearm, leaving not so much as a mark on your skin.
"His soul can be saved," you tell Orihime, your voice calm and unhurried. "Purified and sent on to the afterlife properly, where he belongs. Or you can ask us to leave, and in a few months what remains of your brother will slowly eat your soul until there's nothing left of either of you."
Orihime's grey eyes are wet, her lower lip trembling. She stares at the grotesque thing in your hand, at the faint flicker of recognition behind the hollow's mask, and her hands twist in the fabric of her sweater.
"If you accept the position I'm offering," you continue, keeping your tone gentle, "a life where you will never be alone again, going on magical adventures with your new roommates, I'll purify him. The choice is yours."
Silence fills the apartment. The fluorescent light above flickers once more, then steadies. Albedo watches Orihime with patient stillness, her golden eyes tracking every micro-expression. Jibril tilts her head, wings folded tight against her back, scholarly fascination tempered by something approaching empathy.
Orihime's gaze moves from the hollow to you, then to Albedo, then to Jibril. You can see the calculation happening behind those grey eyes, the same calculation she's been running since you first knocked on her door. She understands this is life-changing. She understands you're omitting details, that the warmth of your offer has edges she hasn't been shown yet. Her fingers press against her knees.
"You're not telling me everything," she says quietly. "About what the position actually involves."
"No. I'm not."
She nods, unsurprised. Her eyes drift back to the hollow, to the faint shape of Sora still visible beneath the monster's surface like a drowning man beneath black water. Her throat works.
"Okay," she whispers. "I accept."
The words hang in the air like a bell struck once. Orihime rises from the bed on unsteady legs and approaches the hollow slowly, step by careful step. Tears track down her cheeks, catching the light.
"Say farewell to your brother," you tell her gently. "I'll begin his purification slowly."
Orihime stops an arm's length away. The hollow's mask tilts toward her, and for one brief moment the monster's eyes clear completely. Sora Inoue looks out from behind the decay, his expression heartbroken and relieved in equal measure.
"I'm sorry," Orihime says, her voice cracking. "I'm sorry I couldn't help you sooner. I'm sorry I was scared of you."
The hollow's mouth opens. A sound emerges that is almost words. Almost her name.
You begin.
Golden light flows from your palm, seeping into the hollow's form like dawn breaking through storm clouds. The black corruption recedes in visible waves, the bone mask cracking and falling away piece by piece to reveal the face beneath. A young man's face, peaceful and whole, his eyes already closing as the purification takes hold. The hole in his chest shrinks, fills, disappears entirely.
Sora Inoue's spirit stands before his sister for three final seconds, translucent and smiling, before he fades away, to whatever afterlife awaits souls freed from their chains.
Orihime watches him go with her hand pressed over her mouth, tears streaming freely now. Her shoulders shake with silent sobs.
Albedo steps forward and places a hand on the girl's back with surprising gentleness. "It's done. He's free."
Jibril produces a handkerchief from nowhere and offers it without comment.
Orihime takes it, dabbing at her eyes, and when she looks at you again her expression has shifted from grief to something raw and desperate and hopeful. "When do we leave?"
You settle onto the edge of Orihime's bed, the thin mattress dipping beneath your weight. The apartment feels even smaller now with the four of you inside it, the residual chill from the hollow's presence still fading from the walls. You look up at Orihime, who stands between the table and the kitchenette with her hands clasped nervously at her waist.
"There's something I should make clear before we go any further," you say, your voice unhurried and direct. "You're my woman. One of my lovers. Whenever and however I want you."
Orihime's grey eyes widen. Her lips part, then close, then part again. The flush that had been fading from her cheeks returns in full force, spreading down her neck to the collar of her pink sweater. She doesn't look at Albedo or Jibril, her gaze fixed on you with an expression caught somewhere between shock and the dawning realization that she already suspected this.
"I thought," she starts, then swallows. "I thought there was something you weren't telling me."
"There was. This is the first bit."
She stands there for a long moment, her fingers twisting in the hem of her sweater. You can see the conflict playing across her face, the rational part of her mind protesting even as the deeper truth of her situation settles in. Her brother is free because of you. The monster that haunted her for months is gone. And three impossibly beautiful beings are standing in her apartment telling her she belongs to one of them.
"Perform a striptease for me," you tell her, motioning with a finger. "Then embrace and kiss your new master. Slowly."
Orihime's breath catches audibly. Her hands tremble at her sides. But she doesn't refuse. She looks at you with those large brown eyes, wet still from crying over Sora, and something in her expression shifts. Not submission exactly, but acceptance. The kind of acceptance that comes from someone who has been alone for so long that being claimed feels less like captivity and more like belonging.
She reaches for the hem of her pink sweater with shaking fingers. The fabric lifts slowly, revealing the white camisole beneath, then the smooth plane of her stomach, the gentle curve of her waist. She pulls the sweater over her head and lets it drop to the floor. Her movements are awkward, unpracticed, nothing like a deliberate performance. She fumbles with the camisole, tugging it up and off to reveal a simple white bra that strains slightly against her fuller figure.
Albedo watches with proprietary interest, her golden eyes tracking every inch of newly exposed skin. Jibril tilts her head with scholarly fascination, cataloging the girl's nervous energy.
Orihime unclasps her bra with trembling hands. Her breasts spill free, round and heavy with pale pink nipples already stiffening in the cool air. She bites her lower lip, her cheeks burning crimson, but continues. Her skirt follows, then her plain cotton panties, each garment removed with halting uncertainty until she stands naked before you.
She approaches the bed on unsteady legs. Her body is soft and generous, wider hips and fuller thighs than her slight frame suggested, with the small beauty mark beneath her lip drawing your eye downward. She climbs onto the bed and straddles your lap, her bare skin warm against your clothed thighs. Her breasts press against your chest as she leans forward, her auburn hair falling around both your faces like a curtain.
Her kiss is hesitant. Soft. She tastes like salt from her tears and something sweeter underneath, the red bean paste she probably snacks on. Her lips move against yours with clumsy sincerity, her hands resting on your shoulders with the careful touch of someone afraid of breaking something.
You feel the weight of her breasts against you, warm and yielding. Her hips shift nervously in your lap.
"While you're getting acquainted with your new master," you murmur against her mouth, "you can tell Albedo and Jibril anything you'd like to bring with you. They'll gather it."
Orihime pulls back just enough to meet your eyes, her face flushed and her breathing quick. "My brother's hairpins," she whispers. "They're on the shelf by the door. And my savings book is in the kitchen drawer. That's everything that matters."
Albedo moves silently toward the shelf, collecting the pair of blue hairpins shaped like flowers. Jibril retrieves the bank book with efficient grace.
Orihime looks down at you from her straddling position, her grey eyes still wet but holding something new.
