Arrival in an isekai

Chapter 150: Chloe’s choice and resolve +18

You settle into your chair as the breakfast crowd disperses, letting your consciousness stretch outward through a scrying spell. Jircniv appears in the crystalline pane, seated behind a massive oak desk in his imperial office. Three nobles stand before him with stacks of parchment, and he is signing documents with the mechanical efficiency of a man who has been doing this for decades. His brow furrows at something a minister says about grain tariffs. Completely mundane. You dismiss the spell with a thought.

The passageway in the main hall shimmers with silver light as you step through. The throne room of Nazarick greets you with its familiar grandeur, vaulted ceilings lost in shadow above. You cross the vast space without pausing, taking the passageway that leads to Jibril's library on the thousand-and-second floor.

She is there, as always, surrounded by towers of books that stretch toward infinity. Her wings fold behind her as she looks up from a tome on resurrection logistics, blue eyes brightening immediately.

"Master. The next graveyard is prepared. Ferindal confirmed four hundred and twelve graves, three hundred and seven confirmed Hougan victims among them."

"Take us there, we'll do this quick."

Jibril closes her book with a snap and rises. Her teleportation circle blazes beneath your feet, and reality folds.

You arrive in an open field bordered by ancient elven oaks. The graveyard stretches before you, headstones weathered by centuries of neglect. A small crowd has gathered at the perimeter, perhaps thirty elves, their faces carrying the particular mixture of hope and terror that has become standard at these events. Guards in Therindor's colors maintain a perimeter, looking nervous.

You don't acknowledge them. Instead you raise your hand, and the earth splits.

Four hundred and twelve coffins rise simultaneously, soil cascading from their surfaces like waterfalls of dirt. The crowd gasps. Some fall to their knees.

Your magic flows outward in a wave of golden light. Bodies reconstruct within their coffins, flesh knitting over bone, eyes reopening with the confusion of those who remember dying and cannot understand why they breathe again. Four hundred and twelve elves sit up in their coffins, blinking in the morning sun.

The entire process takes perhaps ninety seconds.

"Done," you say.

Jibril materializes beside you, tablet already updating her records. "Three hundred and seven confirmed Hougan victims. One hundred and five natural deaths or accident casualties. Total resurrected to date: four thousand two hundred fifty-nine."

"Lets get out of here."

A woman in guard armor approaches, hand raised. "Lord, please, my sister was among the earlier groups and she needs medical-"

You are already gone. The teleportation circle swallows you and Jibril, depositing you back in the library. The Flügel librarian makes a note on her tablet with clinical precision.

"The families are becoming more assertive," she observes. "That one will likely petition Therindor for an audience."

"That's what their council is for. I don't have the patience to deal with thousands of variant resurrection sicknesses or trauma's, they will recover with time."

Jibril nods, filing the information away. Her wings shift behind her, settling into their resting position. "Shall I prepare the next site for tomorrow? Ferindal has identified the eastern burial grounds. Approximately five hundred graves."

"Just be careful not to announce which graveyard we're visiting next. Having a scattered audience is one thing, having a mob ready to start begging or demanding us would be annoying."

You step back through the passageway into Nazarick's throne room. The entire excursion took less than five minutes. Not enough time for Jircniv to finish his paperwork, but gets one daily task out of the way... what next?

You move again through the dungeon's passageway, the Dark Elf Demiplane opens before you.

The citadel courtyard basks in perpetual twilight, twin moons hanging low over dark-wooded hills. The air carries the scent of night-blooming jasmine and something earthier beneath. You cross the courtyard toward the residential wing where Olga has assigned quarters to the Kuroinu survivors who chose this demiplane's shadowed embrace.

Chloe's door is ajar.

The blonde holy knight sits on the edge of her bed, still in the simple white shift she wears around the demiplane. Her hands rest on her knees, fingers interlaced with white-knuckle pressure that mirrors Charlotte's habitual tension. When she hears your footsteps, her head lifts. Blue eyes find yours with an expression you have come to recognize from watching her rebuild: determination layered over terror layered over something fragile and growing.

"You came," she says. Not surprise. Confirmation.

"I said I would."

You close the door behind you and lean against it, giving her space. The room is sparse but comfortable. A window overlooks the dark forest. A sword hangs on the wall, her blade, cleaned and oiled with the care of someone who defines herself through it.

Chloe stands. Her fingers work at the hem of her shift, a nervous gesture she probably doesn't realize she's making. "I've been thinking about what you said. About choosing."

"And?"

"I don't want to lie on my back." The words come out hard, clipped with military precision. Her jaw sets. "That's what they made me do. Every time. Lie still. Don't fight. Don't feel."

She takes a breath that shudders through her entire frame.

"I want to be on top," Chloe says, meeting your gaze without flinching. "I want to decide how fast it goes. I want to stop if I need to. I want my hands free and my eyes open."

Her voice cracks on the last word, and she catches herself, swallowing hard. The holy knight's armor of composure holds, but barely.

"If that's not how you want it," she adds, quieter now, "I can try the other way. I'll manage. I've managed before."

"No," you say. "You won't manage. You'll choose."

Chloe's blue eyes widen. Something in her expression shifts, the rigid calculation giving way to something rawer. Hope, maybe. Or the terrified cousin of hope.

"Take your time," you tell her, moving toward the bed. You sit on its edge, settling back against the headboard with your arms relaxed at your sides. "When you're ready."

She stares at you for a long moment. Then her hands move to the hem of her shift, and she pulls it over her head in one decisive motion. The blonde holy knight stands before you naked, skin flawless, her body healed of the map of survival from her former world. She doesn't try to cover herself. Doesn't flinch.

Chloe climbs onto the bed with the careful deliberation of someone who has rehearsed this moment a hundred times in her mind. Her knees bracket your hips. Her hands find your shoulders, fingers pressing into muscle with a grip that says she will not let go.

"Tell me if I hurt you," she says, and the absurdity of a virgin holy knight telling a level-100 entity to watch out makes something flicker across her face that might be the ghost of a smile.

"I'll enjoy this as much as you will."

She reaches down between them, guiding herself with trembling fingers. Her breath comes in short sharp bursts as she positions you at her entrance. Then she pauses, blue eyes locked on yours, searching for something. Permission, perhaps. Or the absence of cruelty.

You give her neither command nor reassurance. You simply wait, hands at your sides, letting her own choice fill the silence.

Chloe sinks down.

Your hands rise slowly, deliberately, giving her every chance to stop you. They find the heavy swell of her breasts, cupping them from beneath with a gentleness that contrasts against the iron grip of her thighs on your hips.

Chloe's breath catches. Her rhythm falters for half a heartbeat as your palms press against her skin, warm and full and impossibly soft for a woman who has spent her life in armor. She is large, heavier than you expected, her breasts spilling over your fingers as you lift them slightly, feeling their weight settle into your hands like ripe fruit.

She doesn't stop you.

Her eyes, locked on yours, flicker with something complicated. Not fear. Not quite pleasure either. Something between recognition and surprise, as though she had forgotten that bodies could be touched this way without violence attached.

You begin to knead. Slow circles with your fingers across her nipples, which harden immediately against the pads of your fingertips. Your palms squeeze and release slowly, a pace that exists solely for the sensation of her flesh yielding under your hands. The skin is flawless here, free of every mark the Kuroinu world would have left on her.

Chloe makes a sound. Low, involuntary, bitten off almost as soon as it escapes. Her hips shift, adjusting the angle of penetration, and her nails dig into your shoulders hard enough that a normal man would bleed.

"That's different," she manages, voice rough. Her blue eyes haven't left yours. "They never touched me like that. Like I was something worth touching."

She rolls her hips again, slower now, finding a depth that makes her thighs tremble. The pain of her first penetration is still written across her face in the tightness around her eyes, but your hands provide a counterpoint, pleasure threading through discomfort like light through storm clouds. Your fingers trace lazy spirals around her areolae, brushing her nipples with just enough pressure to make her gasp.

Her breasts bounce with each movement of her hips, heavy and pale in the twilight glow filtering through her window. You cup them firmly, lifting slightly, letting the soft weight fill your palms completely. The flesh dimples under your fingers as you squeeze, and Chloe's rhythm stutters again.

"Don't stop," she says, and it takes you a moment to realize she means your hands, not her own movement. Her voice carries an edge of desperation that she probably hates. "Keep doing that. It helps."

She leans forward slightly, changing the angle, and her breasts press more firmly into your grip. Her nipples drag across your palms as she moves. The pain is still there, you can see it in the way her jaw clenches with each downward stroke, but something else is building beneath it now. Something she chose.

Her hands release your shoulders and find the headboard behind you, gripping the dark wood for leverage as she begins to move with more purpose. Your hands stay exactly where they are, massaging, fondling, squeezing the generous weight of her chest while she rides you at her own pace. Her eyes remain open, fixed on yours, watching your face for any sign of the cruelty her trauma has been trained her to expect.

She finds none.

Your fingertips trace slow arcs across the peaks of her breasts, circling her nipples without quite touching them directly. The flesh yields under your palms, warm and wonderfully soft, and you feel her heartbeat hammering against your fingers through the thin barrier of skin.

"You're doing well," you murmur, voice pitched low enough that she has to lean closer to hear it. Your hands squeeze gently, lifting the heavy weight of her breasts and letting them fall back into your grip with a motion that makes her breath stutter. "Look at you. Choosing this. Choosing how it goes."

Chloe's rhythm has found something steadier now. She rises and sinks with a focus rather than pleasure, but the grimace of pain around her eyes has softened into something more complex. Her thighs flex against your hips as she takes you deeper, and you reward her with a slow roll of your palms across her nipples, finally brushing them directly.

She gasps. Her fingers tighten on the headboard hard enough that the wood creaks.

"That's it," you say. "Your pace. Your choice. Nobody taking anything from you."

"Stop talking like that," she breathes, but her hips don't slow. If anything, they press down harder on the next stroke, and the sound that escapes her throat is something between a groan and a sob. "You make it sound like I'm doing something brave. I'm just riding a man."

"You are doing something brave." Your fingers find her nipples properly now, pinching with just enough pressure to make her spine arch. The heavy globes of her breasts compress between your fingers and you feel the flesh dimple, see the way her skin flushes pink across her chest. "Every woman in this household chose differently. You chose to keep your eyes open and your hands free. Fighting your demons takes more courage than lying back and letting someone else lead."

Chloe's movements grow erratic. She is fighting something, you can see it in the tension of her jaw and the way her abs clench with each downward press. The pain has faded to a dull background ache, replaced by something building that she clearly does not trust. Her blue eyes find yours again, wide and almost angry.

"I don't want to feel good," she says through gritted teeth. "I want to feel like I own this."

"Then own it."

She slams her hips down with a force that makes the bed frame shudder. Your hands never leave her breasts, kneading and squeezing the generous flesh as she sets a punishing rhythm that has nothing to do with gentleness and everything to do with proving something to herself. Her nails scrape grooves into the headboard. Sweat beads along her collarbone and slides down between her breasts, pooling where your fingers grip.

The sound she makes when the first wave of unexpected pleasure hits her is pure fury. Her entire body locks rigid, thighs clamping around you, back arching as her breasts press forward into your palms. She doesn't close her eyes. She stares directly into yours with an expression of absolute betrayal, as though her own body has committed treason against her will.

"No," she hisses, even as her hips grind down involuntarily. "Not yet. I'm not done."

But her body disagrees. The climax rolls through her in waves, each one making her grip the headboard until her knuckles go white. She rides it out with her jaw clenched and her eyes blazing, refusing to let it break her composure entirely even as her inner walls clench around you with rhythmic desperation.

When it passes, she sits motionless atop you, breathing hard, her breasts heaving in your hands. A single tear tracks down her left cheek. She swipes it away with the back of her hand before you can comment on it.

"Again," Chloe says. Her voice is raw. "I want to do that again. And this time I'm not going to fight it."

Your fingers press into the soft flesh of her breasts, and magic flows from your fingertips like honey dripping from a spoon. Three pulses of energy ripple outward, and the air shimmers.

Three full-length mirrors materialize in rapid succession. Two stand on either side of the bed, angled inward, their frames of polished dark wood catching the perpetual twilight. The third appears on the wall directly before Chloe, mounted at the perfect height for her to see herself reflected.

She freezes mid-stroke.

Chloe's blue eyes snap to the mirror before her. She sees herself, naked and flushed, straddling you with your hands still cupping her breasts. Her sun blonde hair spills across her shoulders in disheveled waves. Her thighs spread wide around your hips. The holy knight, reduced to this.

"What are you doing?" she demands, voice cracking.

You don't answer. Your thumbs brush across her nipples in slow circles.

Her gaze darts left. Another mirror. Another angle of herself, breasts heavy in your grip, back arched, the muscles of her abdomen taut with exertion. She looks right. The same image from the opposite side, her hands white-knuckled on the headboard, her expression caught somewhere between fury and something far more vulnerable.

"You want me to watch myself," she breathes. Not a question.

Your hands squeeze her breasts gently, lifting them, and in every mirror she sees the motion replicated. Three versions of herself being touched. Three reflections of the choice she made.

"I want you to see what I see," you say simply.

Something breaks behind her eyes. Not her composure this time, but something older. The wall she built between what happened to her body and what she chose to do with it today. The mirrors refuse to let her hide from either truth.

Chloe begins to move again. Slower now. Her eyes stay fixed on the mirror before her, watching herself ride you with an expression she has never allowed herself to wear. Her lips part. Her hips roll with a rhythm that has nothing to do with proving anything and everything to do with what her body wants.

"I look different," she whispers. "Than I thought I would."

Her second climax builds visibly. You watch it happen in triplicate, her reflection's face transforming as the tension coils tighter in her belly. Your hands never stop their slow worship of her breasts, kneading and lifting and squeezing the heavy flesh while she chases the sensation she swore she would not fight this time.

When it hits, she doesn't close her eyes. She watches herself come undone in the mirror, mouth open in a silent cry, breasts bouncing in your grip, her entire body shuddering with a pleasure she chose to claim. The sound she makes is raw and unguarded, nothing like the controlled fury of her first peak.

She collapses forward against your chest. Her breathing comes in ragged gasps against your shoulder. You wrap your arms around her, pulling her close, and her fingers find your back, clinging with a desperation that speaks louder than any words she could form.

You hold her until her breathing steadies. Until her grip loosens. Until sleep pulls her under with the gentleness of a tide reclaiming sand, her body still joined to yours, her face pressed into the curve of your neck.

A whispered Prestidigitation cleans the sweat and evidence from her skin. You ease her off you with careful movements, settling her against the pillow. A sheet drawn up to her shoulders completes the picture of exhausted peace.

You dress with a thought and step into the corridor. The Dark Elf Demiplane's citadel stretches before you, its perpetual twilight casting long shadows across stone floors. You find Olga in the eastern wing's administrative office, surrounded by stacks of parchment detailing refugee family assignments. The dark elf administrator looks up as you enter, her amber eyes sharp with professional focus that softens fractionally when she recognizes you.

"My lord," she says, setting down her quill. "Is Chloe well?"

"Sleeping."

Olga nods, a small smile touching her lips. "Good. She needed that more than she would ever admit."
