The magma meatball absorbed the energy like a vacuum. Every time he created the portal, his energy was sucked by the magma meatball and further strengthened.

He didn’t give up, as he still had another option, the Nine Heavenly Gate – Heavenly Steps. There was a technique called Heavenly Ethereal Shift. It would turn his body into an ethereal form and would free him of physical binds.

It looked like it was almost working, but his energy to fuel the technique was instantly absorbed, and canceled his technique. The tendril could not penetrate through his natural defense to absorb the energy that flowed inside his body, but once he tried to use his skill or a technique, it could. Those tendrils absorbed his energy at extreme rates, which canceled the technique.

“It’s useless! You can’t break free from me! You are dead!” Alderman’s cracked voice rang from behind. He spoke as if his vocal cords were messed up.

Tang Shaoyang could see Alderman’s current form through Chaos Eyes. Alderman was not in good condition; his body was tattered. It tried to heal up, but the rate of healing and rupture was about the same, making the regeneration useless.

The former Executive Administrator gambled everything on this weird skill. It was obvious since he could not even maintain his magma form, yet the bind kept getting stronger.
