Chapter 2140: So What?
Chapter 2140: So What?
Liang Suyin was holding his skin mask by the time Yang Anming left the room. She was helping him put on his disguise.
“You haven’t told me anything about this Spear God, Fist God, and what again? Fire God?”
Tang Shaoyang asked. The question was meant for Ouyang Biya, but two more people could answer him about the three gods. Bing Lianxin and Bing Ruohan should know about them as well.
“There are Poison God, Alchemist God, Godly Physician, Blacksmith God, and Sword God,” Bing Lianxin answered.
She had found out that the man in front of her was an outsider, but also the one who inherited the Thousand Vows Pavilion’s Grandmaster Codex. The man told her that he would not lead the Thousand Vows Pavilion, but he would rebuild the Thousand Vows Pavilion.
It was a weird statement, but she had confirmed the authenticity of the codex. She and Bing Ruohan had taken a peek at the codex, which helped them further develop the Eternal Ice Heart Sutra.
With the addition of the thing called Ethereal Frost Elemental. It would not take her long to complete the technique for the late-stage True God Realm.
She believed him and understood if he didn’t know about the influential figures in the Sacred Realm.
“If you don’t know yet. Alliance Leader is the Sword God. They are an individual who reaches the peak without being affiliated with any factions and is given the title by the people.”
Tang Shaoyang had many questions in his head when he heard the explanation, but he kept them away and focused on the main thing.
“So they are just a famous individual, but they don’t have an authority like the Murim Alliance or the major factions?”
Despite their majestic title, they seemed not to have the same influence as the major factions. However, he could understand that people would respect them and grant their wishes just to gain the favor of these famous people.
Bing Lianxin wanted to retort that the Eight Gods were more than just famous. However, when Tang Shaoyang put it that way, she could not say anything in return. The Eight Gods didn’t have the same authority as the major factions.
But of course, no one dared to mess with the Eight Gods either. Even the major factions would avoid a conflict against them, even though most of the major factions disliked them.
“Now the disciple of Spear God comes to my door to cause a ruckus using his status? I thought the Spear God was killed, and he still dares to flaunt his status as a disciple of a dead person?”
Tang Shaoyang stood up, touching his face. He still could not get used to the skin mask.
Bing Lianxin wanted to say it was better not to stir trouble with the Spear God’s disciple if they wanted to stay in the Immortal City. The Sword God, the Fire God, and the Fist God would not stay still if they fought the Spear God’s disciple. They would not let their friend’s disciple be bullied the day after The Master died.
From that perspective, sacrificing a few courtesans was better than fighting them. It was not like they were going to suffer a big loss from losing a few courtesans.
She was voicing thoughts until a hand reached her hand. Bing Ruohan reached her hand and shook her head, telling her not to stop Tang Shaoyang. The former Palace Mistress clearly wanted to see how strong the master they served was, but that little action was caught by Avyn.
Tang Shaoyang left the room with Liang Suyin. The others followed, but they were not supposed to make a public appearance to hide their identity.
The former Ice Palace’s members didn’t want to get recognized to avoid a conflict with the Murim Alliance.
Ashley and Aleesa also must avoid public eyes to avoid suspicion. With their appearance, it was obvious they were not from the Sacred Realm. They also didn’t like the skin mask on their faces, just like Tang Shaoyang.
Before leaving the room, Avyn whispered something into Bing Ruohan’s ear. The former Palace Mistress’s eyes widened in surprise, but then her expression turned pensive. Avyn was telling her something and also giving a warning.
First, Avyn told her that she would not be able to watch Tang Shaoyang’s fight or find out how strong Tang Shaoyang was. The reason she stopped Grand Elder Bing Lianxin.
Second, it was a warning for her, telling her that she was now Tang Shaoyang’s subordinate. Her action must benefit Tang Shaoyang, or even prevent a potential harm to Tang Shaoyang.
Avyn was talking about the potential conflict between Tang Shaoyang and the Spear God’s disciple. If the conflict could cause harm to Tang Shaoyang, she should try to stop him or give him advice about the consequences of the conflict.
She stopped Grand Elder Bing Lianxin from speaking up, hoping for a fight to break out because she wanted to know how strong Tang Shaoyang was. Avyn didn’t like it because her action didn’t reflect her current status.
*** ***
Tang Shaoyang purposely took his time to come down, just because he wanted to piss this so-called Spear God’s disciple. However, his action seemed to harm his manager.
The moment he reached the first floor, Yang Anming’s body flew into the pavilion as a group of six people wearing black robes stepped into the pavilion.
The guards that the Yang Clan placed to protect the pavilion sheathed their swords, all of them. They were not afraid, even though the one who led the group was the Spear God’s disciple.
However, the six black-robed men laughed when the guards pointed their swords at them. They clearly didn’t take the guards seriously, as if it were a joke.
The man with a sharp look, a long black hair that was tied to the back, approached Yang Anming, who was still lying on the ground. He was holding a spear upside down, acting smug that five guards tried to stop him.
Yang Anming was clutching his chest in pain as blood dyed his chin. He was struggling to get up, clearly suffering a heavy injury. Five guards stepped up and stood between Yang Anming and the man.
“Since you all want to die, then I will grant your wish!”
The man in a black robe raised his spear, still using it upside down. His body was enveloped with energy as pressure spread out that put all the guards on their knees.
Then his figure blurred and appeared in front of Manager Yang. Yang Anming thought he would die when the spear shaft came for his neck. However, a figure appeared between Yang Anming and the man in the black robe.
There was no way Tang Shaoyang would allow his people to get killed in front of him. He grabbed the spear’s shaft and used Absolute Energy Domination, which quickly dispersed the man in the black robe’s energy.
Tang Shaoyang didn’t stop there as he used Heavenly Force – Heavenly Crushing Grasp. He intended to destroy the spear. Since it was made of wood, he thought it would break apart, but he was wrong. The spear was made with excellent material to be able to withstand his Heavenly Crushing Grasp.
The man in the black robe seemed to be surprised to see Tang Shaoyang. He could not sense or see Tang Shaoyang’s movement. On top of that, he was surprised by how easily Tang Shaoyang stopped his spear.
He was about to say something, but Tang Shaoyang didn’t intend to talk with the Spear God’s disciple anymore. Since they attacked his people, they should be ready for retaliation.
Tang Shaoyang pulled the spear, which pulled the man closer toward him. Then he kicked the man in the belly, which sent him flying back outside the pavilion.
The remaining five men in black robes were also surprised. They seemed at a loss about what to do, but they decided to check on the Spear God’s disciple and went out instead of confronting Tang Shaoyang.
Tang Shaoyang threw a vial of healing potion at the guard who just gotten back on his feet, “Feed that to Manager Yang!”
He also went out with Liang Suyin. At that moment, it was not just Liang Suyin who followed him. Gianni, Jovrick, Nikolas, Mathias, and Ruben were with their master.
The crowd outside the Lotus Moon Pavilion got bigger with the ruckus. Most of them were people who survived the devastating battle. There were also wandering cultivators, as well as the people from the major factions who came to help the Murim Alliance. A mixed group of people from different backgrounds gathered.
The moment Tang Shaoyang got out of the pavilion, one of the men in the black robe pointed his finger at Tang Shaoyang, “Do you know who he is?”
Tang Shaoyang’s eyes widened the moment he heard the question. That was so familiar, and I had been hearing that so many times already. The funny part was that he knew who the person he just hit this time was.
“I know him. So what?”
